Yes it is for YOU, you independent minded, mostly American 89% audience.
Yes it is for US. Collective. Not going to be in heaven alone. Better not be alone here either. Need the church. Church needs you.
You need A church.
You can only exert your energy in A Church
You can only settle in and see the workings of God in one place
Do you flit between churches without commitment?
Do you flit between no church without commitment?
Jesus has ALWAYS loved His church. Jesus will always love His church.
Jesus thinks about His churches. Specifically. And individually.
We do not live here outside of His church and His churches
Which means my specific Church

You should love His church. Pray for a church to love. Pray for a church to be loved by. Pray for a church to serve and use your gifts in. Place where your gifts can THRIVE.
I am the root of David
I made Him, I made Israel, I made the world, I made the Church
I am qualified to OPEN THE SCROLL Rev5: 5 And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
Is HE WORTHY? YES He is Andrew Peterson.
Being the root of David, is specifically a qualification heralded as a qualification to open the scroll
I am the descendant of David
2 sam 7: Moreover, the Lord declares to you that the Lord will make you a house. 12 When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
I am also Davids ROOT. I was there before him. I created him.
I entered human history as an actual descendant of David I came down
I fulfilled what all this was pointing to
I Jesus, sit on the throne established by David forever.

What is the morning star?

Everyone of them will be judged in relationship to the morning star
Why call it the morning star?
1. Is it the first we’ve heard of it? Numbers 24:17 17 I see him, but not now;
I behold him, but not near:
a star shall come out of Jacob,
It was prophesied about Him. A star is coming.
We were actually WAITING for the Star of Jesus
2. God loves light. Attractive brightness. Brightest star out there.
Is 60 3 And nations shall come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your rising.
3. He’s been in the star business at creation and as a marker of Himself mt 2: Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
4. Rev 2 :25 if you are a conquerer, I will give him the morning star

Hope of the morning
Loves to give of HIMSELF
He, Jesus IS the star. He, Jesus GIVES the star.
I pray for my listeners. May you give them a heart for Your church. May you help them with your church. May you give them an inordinate love for a particular expression of your Big church , here. Now. Locally. May they be a blessing to that church. May their gifts be used in a unique, powerful way to help that body and honor you. May you sustain them in their fatique, tired ness as they LABOR in their service. When they are inconvenienced. When they have to exert patience. When they have to labor.
Also please give of them YOURSELF. Give them of yourself. Give us your STAR. Your presence, your PERSON.
You get The Star. You get the church. You get a church.
