Show Notes Transcript

Are you ready for the return of Jesus? Can you without regret call out: COME?
Or, are you thirsty still?  Do you still desire Him in a yet-unfulfilled way?

Today's verse is a call to BE READY and also, "If you are NOT READY..."
For those who are ready: call out COME!
For those not ready: YOU come with your empty pockets to the infinitely valuable Lord. Take Him and receive Him.  Then, you too can call out: "COME!"

Come Lord Jesus= Be READY S27E94       rev 22:17

Yesterday: prayer for You get The Star. You get the church. You get a church.

The Person, and His people

Today: come Lord Jesus!

Aka: AM I READY FOR Him? I wonder who of us can say that

Who of the bride is ready ready? Are WE READY?

Last few sentances of the Bible. Told us what is going to happen at the end of history. Rapture. 2nd coming. 7 year tribulation. Judgement. Heaven on earth.

Takes a step back: It is coming soon. I am coming soon.

Spirit says: Come. Bride says: Come. People say: Come

To say come is also a call to be ready and a statement that I’m “Ready”

Rev 22:7 “And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Rev 22: 12 “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.

Rev 22: 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

The Spirit says COME. The Godhead. The Spirit of Jesus. God says come.

John 15: 26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me

The Spirit is inviting Jesus to come in response to Jesus saying I am comng soon.

Spirit is pointing, as always to Jesus.

The time of rejecting, distancing, or grieving the Spirit by rejection of God’s ways is over. Let’s do this! Come Jesus and bring this era of rejection to a close.

When this happens, nobody rejects Jesus, or Father again

Points to Jesus as the beautiful answer to our real problems of sin death

The CHURCH says COME

Aka the Bride 19: 7  Let us rejoice and exult

and give him the glory,

for the marriage of the Lamb has come,

and his Bride has made herself ready;

Church awaits anticipates facilitates: THY KINGDOM COME.

You have been praying this prayer all along

LOVE His appearing 2 Timothy 4:8

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

Come NOW vs. DON’T come NOW.

I got some personal business with God that I gotta take care of.

Havent said Yes. Haven’t done much obeying, changing, yielding

If He came back now I’d shrink 1 John 2:28

Children of God

28 And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrinkfrom him in shame at his coming.

Are YOU ready to go be with God, and live with Him forever

Oh wait, I gotta take care of this first…

I have been waiting to take care of this sin…

I have been waiting to say this to my friend…

Luke 9:59 59 To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” 60 And Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” 61 Yet another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home.” 62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

You are part of the CHURCH, if you are a believer

Can YOU say: COME to a Jesus who is only coming back one time, forever

                  Are you ready?

                  Are your people ready?

                  Is your church ready?

Are your people Mature? Eating solid food?

Are the responsibilities and activities that He has asked of you been completed faithfully?

Can you say: I did everything He asked of me in the Church; MY church

Thirsty? Rev 22: 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

The one who is thirsty? Yup. Got that. I do have needs. I have got desperation

I have got need for the water of Life that is priceless

and I have no money to be worthy of it

what have I of value that I can exchange for what Christ has done?

Infinite value, me: empty pockets even if I had physical treasure: gold, remember, even the streets are Gold. Has no need/ desire of it

         Assent; value; faith; worship.

Conclusion

Pray with me: Plead with me:

COME LORD JESUS: be glorified. Smite enemies. Be put at place of prominence that you deserve. I honor You. I worship You.

Church Your bride is ready, not shrinking

         Ready pure completed

Convict me of anything left on my spiritual to do list:

Put my hand to the plow to the task, and don’t look back.

ARE YOU READY?

Can we say: As PART of the bride: are you ready on your acre?

Can we day: As part of His actual Church: are WE ready on our acre?

Are you weary of the battle against sin? COME

Are you tired of waiting for His return? Come!

Are you ready to see Jesus finish His work and be glorified clearly? Come

Are you ready for a new imperishable body? COME

Are you ready to be with Him forever? Come!

Are you thirsty? COME

Are you ONE WHO HEARS this for the first time.

         Step ONE: be thirsty

Step Two: be poor. Come with empty pockets. Cant buy . cannot earn.

Step Three: Come to Him

Step four: Call for Jesus to come back.
