2 It is the revelation OF JESUS BY Jesus. The book of Rev is a
3 Rev is book best approached HUMBLY. Either you will be humble at the start, or you will be humble at the finish. There is no plan b in the attitude department.
4 Rev is either TRUE or not.
If false: most pitied, most deceived, sorriest group of decepticons on the plan
If true: most loved, most prepared, and given the most “heads up”
5 We KNOW THE FUTURE. We KNOW THE FUTURE.
Time travel: just regarding the stock market: I’d buy Apple stock
Gone up a Gillion time.
I know the real future and it effected real present profitably
Similarly we know the furture and it should dramatically profit us
We know Jesus is coming back
We know evil is real, and really temporary
We know He has a home for us and a home for Himself
They are the same home
We know what is going to end up being VALUABLE, and therefore what to VALUE
Ultimate Heads up of all time, time eternal.
Know the score, the final score, so bet on the activity of the game appropriately
6 Rev is the greatest testimony to GODS SOVEREINTY
God’s sovereign train is running right on time
7Rev is a book of BLESSING. Starts with a blessing, ends with a blessing and there are 5 more specific blessings in between.
1st one blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophescy and blessed are those who hear and who KEEP what is written in it, for the time is near. It meands to protect, guard, retain value
Let’s treat it like it is valuable
8 Jesus is coming back A good response is to LOVE HIS APPEARING. 1 tim 4:8 there is a crown, which the Lord the righteous judge will award to me on that day and not only to me, but to ALL WHO LOVED HIS APPEARING
9 Jesus in the meantime, where can I find jesus? 2024. Before all the future stuff happens in Revel 1-3 is about current, real, active churches. WHERE do we find Jesus? Where’s waldo? Find a church, and you will find Him in the midst of that church. Can “find Jesus” in beaury, excellenc, nature, music. Where does Jesus actually say that He is active, interceding, convicting? In the midst of the churches He loves and praised, and
10 if Jesus is found in the midst of the church, I SHOULD be found in the midst of His church. I should be found intimately in His church. If you are in hospice, you are excused from Church this Sunday. Ironically, if you are in hospice, the place I guantee you will want to be is in the Church.
If I want the care attention of Jesus, get to a church. HOLD ON for the action and activity of Jesus.
If I want to exhibit the care and attention of Jesus , get to a church Hold on to his people. They’ll be knuckleheads, just like always
If you want to SEE JESUS most clearly, like;ly you will have to be involved with a Church. If you want to experience Jesus, likely you will do so in the midst of His church, because it is the place that we KNOW HE”s THERE.
If your prayer is for Christ to be in the center of your life, you’ll need to actl like what was important to Him, is important to you.
If yow anna find God, look in the MIDST of His people
It is my suggestion that you :
· place yourself along side the people that God has placed Himself alongside.
· go stand in the middle of those whom God stands in the middle of
· listen from the place where God speaks as loudly as a trumpet
· stand in the midst of those God stands in the midst of
Where is this amazing place? It is in THE CHURCH. It is in the literal, local, knucklehead-filled, imperfect church. Yup, you in the pews this sunday. Why? Because Jesus is in the MIDST of His real church. Join Him.
