Start with the Noah Son of HAM Caanan
(These are the same guys that are going to be devoted to destruction in Dt7: 2 and when the Lord your God gives them over to you, and you defeat them, then you must devote them to complete destruction. You shall make no covenant with them and show no mercy to them.)
Gen 10 10 These are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.

Afterward the clans of the Canaanites dispersed. Likely reason for dispersal was the punishment for the tower of Babel pride. Consequence.

Here are people of Ham-Caanan-caananites who occupied the promised land BEFORE the PROMISE.
Yes what we call Israel did have people in it before the people of God, God’s family occupied it/

When Abraham is called out of Ur as a patriarch, the land is occupied by distant cousins. There uncles were SHEM for Abraham and Ham for CAANANITES.

These are people that started off poorly with HAM and apparently did not yield to the one true God. Eventually they are destroyed.

Remember all these characters are OUR family. All of us from Noah
Some are known for following God, some not
Mentioned and remembered. Not sure we will be mentioned, but we definitely will be remembered by God.
How would you like to be remembered.
Be faithful in small things. HAM’s children will be adversaries to the people of God. Small thoughts. Small actions.
Determined purposes
In reviewing these genealogies we are reminded of the determined covenant mercies of God to one day bring restoration of Eden through Jesus Christ (Rev. 21:1–22:5). For it is through a human mediator, Jesus Christ, descended from Adam (Luke 3:38), that this gracious restoration will finally come about.
Shadows of the real determined convenant mercies of God to one day bring us Jesus. Rescue is Coming. He’s our real diamond. Worth digging for in the geneology of Noah’s sons.
