Gordon Thane
Gordon Thane is currently a Program Coordinator at a Health Unit in Ontario, Canada, focusing on creating community mental health and suicide prevention strategies. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors at St. Leonard’s Community Services – London and Region, where he provides his public health expertise to enhance programs, policy, and decision-making. He has worked with the National Collaborating Centre for Infectious Diseases on several research and knowledge translation projects to support national antimicrobial stewardship programs. Gordon has been interviewed by various Canadian media networks, such as CTV News National, CTV News Toronto, and CityNews Toronto, to raise awareness about COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy in Black communities. He was recently a recipient of Health Promotion Ontario’s 2021 Lori Chow Memorial Award.
