Steph McGregor, 2:57 Marathoner, Coach, and Physio, joins me on today's episode to recap the 2023 Bank of America Chicago experience, her first time breaking 3, and well beyond breaking it!
Steph's journey to sub-3 is inspiring through her coaching, training partners, and team in Vancouver. I, fortunately, got lucky enough to side by side with her during this race until she kicked it the final mile, flying through the finish line with a scorching time of 02:57:02. After the race, Steph and I connected (Thanks to Jennifer Chambers for tracking us both), and I'm so happy we did!
We discuss everything from training for the race to takeaways and things you should know if you're considering racing the Chicago marathon next!
