Joyce Osei is an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Consultant, an author and storyteller whose works focuses on increasing the representation of women in male dominated industries. Storytelling is at the heart of Joyce’s work and she passionate about increasing the number of people from minoritised backgrounds through content. As part of tackling under-representation, Joyce wrote and published her first book in 2020 ‘The Adventures of Amma and Kwessi in Barbados’, a children’s story inspired by her two children and her Ghanaian and Barbadian heritage. Joyce has also co-authored 3 books: Voices of Hope, Resilient Voices and Keepers of The Flame and has developed a workshop titled ‘Giving Bias A Voice’ using her lived experience in the workplace.
In 2022 Joyce learnt how to swim and her journey was documented in a Radio 4 podcast.

In this podcast, Joyce shares her life changing everyday adventure of learning to swim as an adult. We discuss what prompted her to learn to swim , the barriers she faced, both psychological and physical and the benefits it has brought her.
