Michael Maassel

Michael’s journey into addiction treatment and recovery began with her own drug and alcohol addiction and subsequent treatment. She then came to Harmony Foundation and developed a best-in-class Alumni Program. Michael left Harmony to expand her knowledge of treatment nationally, serving as the National Director for Alumni at Vertava Health. While away, Michael knew her heart belonged back at Harmony. Moving into the Director of Development role and becoming an Executive Leadership team member, Michael understands the importance of relationship building and connecting people.

Michael is the Co-President of the National Board for TPAS (Treatment Professionals for Alumni Services) and serves on the Client Advisory Board of Directors for Continuum Cloud Solutions. She co-authored a book with two others in the recovery world titled “Drowning in Addiction: Sink or Swim.” Michael is passionate about recovery and chooses to recover out loud.
