#3: Jay Sallstrom- 6x AMA Champion & Nitro Connoisseur

In the past few years, we have met some talented extreme moto athletes and awesome industry professionals. The Elevated Action Podcast focuses on these people's stories, race careers, and methods of success. In this next episode, we interviewed Jay Sallstrom of Mankato, Minnesota.

Jay Sallstrom is one of the most decorated athletes on the east coast's AMA Pro Hillclimb Series, winning six Championships. Jay started racing a young kid at the Kato Cycle Club in Minnesota, and rose through the ranks as a top amateur athlete, winning five AMA Amateur Championships. In a crazy turn of events, he joined Dr. Bob's race team and became one of their main riders on the team. Piloting a Yamaha R1 on 100% nitromethane and later a R6 on 100% nitromethane, he raced across the country riding some of the most powerful bikes on earth. Jay shared some cool stories, including how he got to know Josh Hill, career highlights, and some past injuries that he has battled.
