This week on We Need to Talk, the Bon Jovi documentaries on Hulu, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, and who doesn't love Miss Peaches? Going to the girl. Good morning. Happy Sunday. Welcome home. Thank you. And you see this beautiful glass. I broke out the good glasses this morning. You know the beauty of coming home from Napa, even though you're so sad that it's over. But when you come home from Napa, you get to drink the wine that you've had in the cellar because you need to make room for the new wine. So that's exciting. So this is a 2009 Syrah from Baldacci. So cheers.
SPEAKER_00Wow, 2009.
SPEAKER_01You gotta get busy. That's what I mean. Last night I had a magical petite Syrah. I had to start emptying out so I could add in. That's the beauty of coming home. That's the only positive coming home from Napa. That's what's special about Napa.
SPEAKER_00You can bring some home with you.
SPEAKER_01Oh, so night. It really is such a great place. I know if you're not a big wine person, obviously it's a little bit lost on you, but it's just beautiful. And the experience is it's just great.
SPEAKER_00When I went to Napa, I wasn't a big wine person. I left, I would say, more of a wine person, but I find it just so breathtakingly beautiful. Right.
SPEAKER_01That's what I mean.
SPEAKER_00And I love going to the wineries and having those experiences with the winemakers and just the tastings and the explanations. I definitely learn a lot, but you're doing it in such a gorgeous setting everywhere you go.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. Well, we ended our vacation in another gorgeous setting. We
Shutters on the Beach & The Denver Nuggets
SPEAKER_01ended at Shudders.
SPEAKER_00I love it. Which Shudder's on the beach.
SPEAKER_01Just love Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica. I have not been there in so long. We ended there and it was so great. And the funny part about it is we were wearing a Rangers sweatshirt because the Rangers were playing that night when we checked in. And the guy was bringing us to our room, it's like, oh, we always have a lot of athletes and we have hockey teams all the time. Which just strikes me as such a weird place that they would go. Like yeah, on the beach, right? But so he says, Oh, tomorrow we have the Denver Nuggets coming. And I think to myself, wow, because I knew they were playing LA. So I'm like, that's pretty cool. Denver Nuggets are one of the top teams right now.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01So I'm looking around the two days I'm at Shutters to see a nugget. I don't see one nugget. Meanwhile, I only know one nugget. I only know one nugget. Jokic.
SPEAKER_00So I don't know any nuggets at all.
SPEAKER_01I'm looking all over for Jokic because this six foot five Serbian. You can't miss him. So I see no nuggets. The morning I'm having coffee at Shutters. I'm sitting with views, so breathtaking. And then I see a bunch of people that look like nugget coaches, but no actual nuggets. So now we're leaving, right? It's time to leave. So sad we're leaving. And as we are walking out of the hotel, the bus pulls off, and every single nugget gets off the bus. They must have had a little practice. Now they were coming back to have a meeting. They're all eating stuff. I'm just standing at the door, like in no nuggets letting us through. They're just all piling in, coming in, coming in, coming. I'm standing at the door, just waiting, waiting. And then I see him, I see Joke again. I just fist pump and I'm like, good luck. And he said, Thanks. I was like, Ah, look at you.
SPEAKER_00That's progress for you.
SPEAKER_01So it's my nugget experience. Look, you actually reached out, so to speak.
SPEAKER_00Well, I was standing right there, and he's the one nugget I know. You know what I'm just thinking though? If I'm a six foot seven human being and I go to any hotel in the world, do I fit in my bed? Shutters doesn't have an extra long bed, I gotta be honest. Wait, do I fit in the shower? I don't really understand the choice of shutters on the beach because obviously it's really remote from most things. And with the traffic in LA, it's a weird spot to be in.
SPEAKER_01And they're working. So the view and the experience of Shadows on the Beach is lost on these people. Right. But but yeah, that was my experience. So I got to see a nugget, and then they went on and won that game. My good luck was actually worth it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but now I'm gonna completely think about this all day. If very large human beings fit in most hotel rooms. I mean, think about it. A lot of hotel rooms, the showers are not very high or large. And even if you ask for a king bed, it's not gonna fit a six foot seven human being in it. I'm sure this is their problem all the time. Well, there's that's true. There's not a lot of very large human beings, too.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, it's exciting. So we're in the playoffs, right, everybody. Today's the Nuggets. Like the Nuggets.
SPEAKER_00We got the Knicks at one o'clock, we got the Yankees at two o'clock, and the Rangers at eight o'clock. What are you doing about this?
SPEAKER_01The Knicks to me feel like this is a must-win situation. No, I totally care. Okay. I feel like it's been a little bit dirty the last game, getting a little chippy.
SPEAKER_00I was terrible.
SPEAKER_01So I feel like this is a must-win situation for them. And the Yankees, I mean, it's April, dude. So I'm invested in basketball playoffs and NHL, of course. Hopefully, when everyone's listening to this podcast, we had two successful New York wins. Yep. And we move on. We'll see what happens. Fingers crossed everywhere.
SPEAKER_00You don't sound like you're too positive about all this.
SPEAKER_01I'm positive. I'm positive. I panic. On paper, we're a better team than Washington, talking about the Rangers. We should win the series. I'm not sure saying we should win this game. But things happen. One game, the Knicks 76ers game the other night, can change the whole series. So a goalie gets hot in hockey and you're screwed. It's very stressful. And it's very stressful to go away during this time because I'm figuring out watching the game. I'm on the plane watching the Knicks. I changed my flight to get to LA so I could get into LA by four o'clock because the ranges would be on the floor, because it's a three-hour time difference.
SPEAKER_00I'm very dedicated. I'm all in. I made a dinner reservation at this really difficult Omakase place here in New Jersey months ago. And turns out it was on
Draft Day
SPEAKER_00Thursday at 7:30, which is late for me. And that's when the first day of the draft was. And you can't really have phones in there. So we didn't really know much that was going on until we left. And everybody's like, You're gonna miss the draft. I know how much you love the draft. And I said, I didn't realize when the draft was when I got this reservation, and I'm not canceling it.
SPEAKER_01I think because I got so caught up in the Knicks and Rangers that I wasn't focused on the date of the draft either. And then I realized, oh shit, we're basically on a plane. We were watching the Knicks game on our plane. So it was hard about the draft, but I did watch draft day, which is my tradition. And then I followed up. I'm happy with my number six Malik pick for the New York Giants receiver. Okay. And you guys picked 11. And that was Olu?
SPEAKER_00Olu? Yeah, well, you keep saying you guys like I'm a Jet fan, I'm a former Jet fan, I'm a Cincinnati Bengal fan. We've gone over this many times. Oh my God.
SPEAKER_01But the Olu guy, so cute. He was at his house. You saw that footage? Yeah, which I love people at their house. Cry. That always makes me cry.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I love the outfits when they're on site in Detroit, but I really like when they're home and there are large people and small furniture. That's my favorite thing. Oh my God, there were so many people in his house, too.
SPEAKER_01It was exciting. And his girlfriend was super cute and so excited. And yeah, it's great. I love that stuff. It all makes me very happy.
SPEAKER_00I think we should go back to it all at home.
SPEAKER_01I know. We always say that every celebration. It was the best one ever. Yeah. So cheers. Hope for uh let me get my wine. Let's hope for a good, a good football. We need a good football season.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Auburn too. All across the board. I need good football.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So see, sports everywhere. Everywhere.
SPEAKER_00It's a big time for all of us. Sports thing. Big time for all of us.
SPEAKER_01All right. Hold on. I gotta take my switch.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you look like you're sweating to death.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, hold on a second.
SPEAKER_00It's gonna be 85 degrees tomorrow.
SPEAKER_01I can't keep track of the weather. It's just so it was nice. It's so nice in the sun. And then all of a sudden, like the sun goes out down and I'm like freezing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you have to be always prepared with many layers.
SPEAKER_01Many layers. All right, so where should we begin? Oh, I know where we gotta begin. Forget it. We can't even talk about anything
Miss Peaches on her way to a Gala
SPEAKER_01until we talk about Miss Peaches and the Gala. I know.
SPEAKER_00I'm so excited for gala coverage. I only saw her going to the gala. I have not seen any coverage from the actual gala, but somebody made her a beautiful gala dress.
SPEAKER_01I have not seen it. I don't think he posted anything yet. You just saw him walking down his hotel hallway. Yeah. And she's gorgeous in her dress. He couldn't be any prouder of this job.
SPEAKER_00It's the best thing ever. And did you see what the Rich Carlton did for her? Yes. Special stuff and notes and everything perfect. See, now every hotel is trying to one-up each other since he slammed that one hotel that sucked in what Tampa or wherever he was.
SPEAKER_01And he said it too. Yeah. If it's C Tampa, you should take it. He's ruthless. He is ruthless. Did you see this video about the new one? I think I sent it to you when he's wearing the thank you, Amy, t-shirt. And he's put out a t-shirt in a minute. He's got his middle fingers off. And he tags Kim Kardashian. It's the best thing ever.
SPEAKER_00He's so crazy. He has a house that he just bought, I guess, like a year or so ago in Nantucket, this mansion on the water that was a dream of his. And he does another podcast with these two young people. It was a whole idea to bring younger people to Barstool. And also with these younger people, these TikTokers, to get their audience to know who Dave was, which was a brilliant move. Anyway, so one of the Brianna Chicken Fry is the one I'm talking about. She's the one that dates Zach Bryan. And she's talking to him about we want to come to your place in Nantucket and we want to hang out in Nantucket. And he literally is like, Yeah, that's not gonna happen. And he's like, I do have another house that you could stay at, but I really want nothing to do with you guys in Nantucket. And he he's literally completely serious. Yeah, no. Like we work together, but that's it. You're not coming to my house. Yeah, it's just hilarious. And they were showing you not have fridge privileges. I don't think anybody has fridge privileges anymore.
SPEAKER_01So crazy. I love it. I love it too. I love everything about Miss Peach. I could sit all day and watch Miss Peach's videos.
SPEAKER_00Everybody can. That's why she has over a million followers. She has her own income at this point.
SPEAKER_01That's really all I did. I I got a Miss Peach's t-shirt. I wore it in California.
SPEAKER_00Has anybody called you out for Miss Peach's? Seeing her on your shirt. No, nobody in Napa did.
SPEAKER_01But if I wear it now, like if you wear it here, you'll get called out.
SPEAKER_00I got called out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, nobody at Napa did. Did you get the t-shirt? No, I got the sweatshirt.
SPEAKER_00Oh, you got the sweatshirt?
SPEAKER_01I got the t-shirt. Yeah. All right. Well, I had to bring that up because she's so gorgeous and I look forward to the videos. I know. Where should we go from here? So I am very happy that you took my advice and you are watching the Queen of Tears. I am. I am. The only
Queen of Tears/Netflix
SPEAKER_01issue is you can't.
SPEAKER_00No, no, no. I love it. You're right. It was it's that first episode where you think it's going a little weird, it's not so weird anymore.
SPEAKER_01When it gets weird, and it does, let me give you an example. When we're watching American TV, they don't beat the shit out of each other. At a family dinner, they're not knocking each other over the head. It's more of this Korean humor and like things are a little different from what we're used to. So I feel when it goes a little like that, I just remind myself this is Korean TV. You know what's that?
SPEAKER_00And even the way they even the way the music is handled in the show is kind of funny. But yeah, the story is getting so juicy. I'm only on episode four, but the problem is you can't binge these because they're 90 minutes each. No, you cannot binge them.
SPEAKER_01And so I can do one a day because it's just too much. So it's 16 total. Yeah, and I'm I'm way behind. And so now the last one drops today. As you go, you'll have to be able to watch them all. Yeah. Okay. I'm at the end. I have the last two left. I'm at the edge of my seat.
SPEAKER_00It's really. I'm glad I went back. I'm glad that you pushed me to do that because I really was not going to, and I'm so glad I did.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm trying that crash landing on you. I think, like you said, it's hard to just get in the groove. Yeah. And I can't get crash landing on you in English. So it becomes even harder. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law are watching it and they love it. Crash landing on you. Yeah. In English. No. No, I think they're watching it in Korean. Yeah. I'm watching it. I watched the first episode. Again, they're very long. And I'm sure I'm going to get into it and I'm going to get hooked. I heard so many good things about it, but it just takes a little getting there. Yeah. My brother Paul's here and he was making fun of me. He's like, I can't deal with you in these Korean shows. I go, okay, we're in a little bit of a lull season right now, everyone. And by the way, these Korean shows are amazing. Wait, did Brother Paul watch Survivor this week? I'm sure he did.
SPEAKER_00This week, Survivor was crazy.
Survivor/CBS & Paramount Plus
SPEAKER_00What happened? Well, there are these things called immunity idols. And one of the biggest rules about immunity idols is if you even have an inkling that you should use yours to save yourself, you do it. You should never go home with an immunity idol in your pocket. And so there were two people at tribal council that had immunity idols. And both of their names were being discussed as people to put up on the block and send home. And neither one of them used their idol. And one of the guys who had an idol, this guy Hunter, who I thought would go to the end, he went home with an idol. They sent him home. And he he kept looking, should I play my idol? Should I play, should I play my idol? And everybody's like, no, don't play it. And he fell for it and he went home.
SPEAKER_01But aren't these people again?
SPEAKER_00We go back to this. Aren't they super fans? I could understand that you get lulled in this false sense of security. The thing about Survivor is it's outwit, outplay, outlast. Outwit is a big part of it. And if you can convince people not to use the idols, that's a brilliant move.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00And not only did that happen, it happened with two people not playing. So crazy. It was a really good episode. You're missing out. But Jeff Probes did announce this week, it's not time yet. I think it's in 2025, but season 50 of Survivor's coming, and they're gonna do an all-star season, which I'm psyched because they haven't done any all-stars in a long time.
SPEAKER_01I don't remember hearing forever about all-stars. They should do that. That'd be fun for you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely. And maybe for you. You should watch Survivor season 50.
SPEAKER_01I tell you, I'm not watching it. Just watch it. Watching it. I'm also not watching that other show. You finished that show, baby baker. That's not for you.
SPEAKER_00But you know what? That's not for you. What is it even about? It's a true story,
Baby Reindeer/Netflix
SPEAKER_00but it's not a documentary. But the guy that's in it, this Richard Gad guy, this is his story. And it's about this woman that was his stalker, and she's crazy. He has so many issues as well. It is extremely disturbing, but it's really well done. And it was really good. And I did binge it, but it was very disturbing. Yeah, I'm not watching it. It's in the top 10 on Netflix. Oh, it was number one last week, and everybody I know has watched it. The acting is unbelievable. There's grooming involved, there's drug addiction involved, there's stalking involved, and it's a true story, so I can't even believe it. But it was very good. It's just, it's one of those things.
SPEAKER_01If you're into if you're into grooming and stalking. But let me ask you this. Would you tell our listeners to stream it?
SPEAKER_00If you're into that sort of shit, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, who was into that sort of shit? I'm saying we watch a lot of crazy stuff that's true stories. So you're saying yes, stream it. I would say it, yes. Okay. Well, you heard it there, listeners. If you're into grooming, stream it and stalking. And stalking. There is another true story, or based on a true story, that on Hulu, and I stumbled across it because while I was on vacation, let me give you another one of my pet thieves, and this has nothing to do with garbage pails and refrigerators. Your streaming service, when you tell me that something is coming out on Friday, right? When I wake up on Friday, it should be there. Well, some streaming services do it, but Hulu doesn't do it. They say, Oh, it's not dropping till 9 p.m. You tell me that on a streaming service that I pay for, that I have to wait till 9 p.m. in order to get the show.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't like when they do that, but they also don't put it on my front page. I always have to search for things that I'll do. I was very annoyed.
SPEAKER_01But anyway, as I was looking for Bon Jovi, which we will get to, which wasn't dropping until 9 p.m., I stumbled across the thing. I stumbled across Under the Bridge, which is based on a true story.
Under the Bridge/Hulu
SPEAKER_01Right. And it's from 1997. Well, the the incident happened in 1997. Did you know about the incident? Because you know these things. I did not know about the incident. Although I do know the author, but I wasn't familiar with the incident. So the author is Rebecca Godfrey, and she wrote a book about this murder, about this incident. Girl playing her is the girl from Day-Z Jones and the Six. Oh, so it's Riley Keogh. Very pretty. We said she was very pretty in the what is it? Elvis's granddaughter, right? Yeah, Elvis Grandday. So pretty. So it's called Under the Bridge. And did you watch any of it before I say it? No, I have not watched it. Yeah, it's a bunch of teenage girls, and one of the girls goes missing, and she does a murder involved. She dies. And so now we're kind of like trying to figure out who is responsible. And this Daisy Jones girl, Elvis' granddaughter, is the author who's comes back to our home, Victoria, and she's gonna write a novel, not having anything to do about this murder, but she's writing a novel about growing up in this area and stumbles upon this thing and now is going to focus her book on this. So okay.
SPEAKER_00I was thinking it was like Mare of East Town. Is that not right? No. Wasn't Mare of East Town about a true story or no? I thought it was. Was it? I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I for some reason I thought it was. It's called Under the Bridge. They dropped three, and then you have to wait. Now it's gonna drop weeks.
SPEAKER_00Everybody has a different way of doing things.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I would say listeners, at first you have to search for it, of course, because Hulu makes everything hard. But I'm into it. It's called Under the Bridge. I like the fact that it's based on a true story. I didn't really know about it. I didn't want to Google so much, so I'm kind of just waiting for the next one to drop. So that's if I have time, I'll give it a shot. Well, now you're not gonna have time because Queen of Tears takes us too much time. All right, let's go into Bon Jovi that made me wait till Friday at 9 p.m. before I could get so it's a four-part docuseries
Thank You & Goodnight/Bon Jovi Doc/Hulu
SPEAKER_01on Hulu.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Thank you and good night. And it is John Bon Jovi's documentary about the entire history of the band Bon Jovi. I had no idea he was having such a hard time with his voice. I knew he was having some issues, but I had no idea how serious it was. I really didn't. And I didn't know he had crazy surgery either. Did you? Yes. I love him so much.
SPEAKER_01I can't describe it. You know, his poster hung in my bedroom as a kid. And in 1985, I went to the Meadowlands to the concert. It's the first concert that I ever went to alone, but my mom didn't know that I was alone. And I went with a friend of mine, and they both thought that the other parents took us. And we got there by one-way cab and returned home by her brother. And it was ridiculous. I still have that memory. I feel like my mother died not knowing that. She's probably laughing right now. She knows now. Yeah, she does now. All the memories come flooding back. And then I saw him as an adult a million times. Of course. I was thinking about this the entire time I was watching the documentary. I do not think I saw him after Richie left the band.
SPEAKER_00I think all I was refusing to do that. I had a very hard time with it. But now that I know everything I know, I think I would give it a try without Richie. So you have that memory. I remember working for my stepmother at a clothing store called Finder's Keepers in Parsippany, New Jersey, for like a summer. And that was when WAPP in New York launched. And it was a commercial free summer. And I remember being in the stock room and the song Runaway came on the radio, and I freaked out saying, Who's singing this song? I never heard this song before. Freaking out. And from that moment on, I was all about this band Bon Jovi. And that's when MTV started around that time. And I was watching all the videos and I was obsessed with John Bon Jovi.
SPEAKER_01I just feel like I shouldn't be crying while I'm watching a Bon Jovi documentary, but he was so serious. And I was an intense guy. He's not a funny man. Intense. He was so serious. And then he cries. I cry. Why is everyone crying? And so that part was intense. And the Richie stuff, it all came back to me. It was all coming back to me.
SPEAKER_00I can't believe it's been 10 years since he left the band.
SPEAKER_01I remember that the press saying that he left because of his kid, and he left because of his ex wife having mental. Health. Right.
SPEAKER_00But we thought he was going to come back when everything was fixed and he did not.
SPEAKER_01And that was the craziest line of the whole documentary. They said to Bon Jovi, they said, has it sunk in? Like how when did it sink in that he wasn't coming back? And Bon Jovi said it still hasn't. Right.
SPEAKER_00Which is crazy. And they watched the documentary together. Richie and John watched it together.
SPEAKER_01Which I'm happy to hear. I know they reunited. Yeah, inducted the rock and roll.
SPEAKER_00Bam, bam. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. If you like Bon Jovi, which we do, it was really awesome. And another part that was so awesome is they had so much footage of when they were just starting out. We said this every time we watch a music documentary, we're always amazed that they have all this.
SPEAKER_00They have, I mean, John has every cassette.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So that was really cool. And to see them young and to see them on the bus, it was really cool. And then I, of course, Bruce Springsteen is just popping up everywhere. He's everywhere. He's fucking everywhere, this guy. He looks ridiculous. And he's just everywhere. And so he popped up. And then I laughed at the end when he says, you know, sometimes Bruce and I just take drives. Like 100 miles.
SPEAKER_00I heard that story about them taking drives, I think a while ago, whether it was on some other interview show or whatever, that they just will call each other and say, you want to go for a ride? And they'll go really far on these drives for hours and hours and hours. No music on, nothing, just talking. He's still so handsome to me. Oh, handsome. He's still so handsome. And he's in great shape.
SPEAKER_01But you know what's really, and I feel like I'm gonna sound like you, and this is not me, but maybe you're like rubbing off on me a little. It's like me. I drink the Hampton water, which is the Bon Jovi Rose. It's actually very good. But his son, who does the Hampton Water with him, is so unattractive.
SPEAKER_00I don't think any of his kids are attractive. Have you seen the photos of them all grown up?
SPEAKER_01No, but this one, I think I saw a picture of his daughter once, and she's fine. But the son, the Willie Bobby Brown boy isn't that cute. The Hampton Water son is just not good.
SPEAKER_00And I'm looking at him, he's 61 years old and he's still so handsome. What about the brother that works for him? He didn't inherit those looks. Yeah, I was shocked that was even his brother.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, doesn't look anything like him. Listeners, if you like Bon Jovi or music, or music documentaries, it's a really well done documentary. It really is kind of raw because he's losing his ability to sing. Yeah, he doesn't know if he can go back on tour, doesn't know if he can go back on tour, and he's trying really hard, and he struggled with losing Richie, and then he struggled with losing his vocal cords, and now it's like a new chapter, and we'll see. It's emotional.
SPEAKER_00It was very emotional. I think mainly because John Bon Jovi is not a funny guy, he's really intense, he's a businessman, and even as a young kid, when he was first starting out, that was his focus. He was completely dedicated to the dream he wanted to go after, and he made it happen. It's really a good documentary, you guys. Even if you don't like Bon Jovi, I think it's still so good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the producer Ed was in the background. He's not a big Bon Jovi fan, but he was enjoying it too, especially the clips, you know, the worse. Yeah, so it's good. So speaking of, so he was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2018, which is late.
SPEAKER_00He says in the documentary that he was always a bit angry, his ego got in
Hall of Fame Inductees
SPEAKER_00the way that they were not inducted earlier. Yeah, and I didn't realize that.
SPEAKER_01I guess maybe I did in 2018, but I didn't remember. That is crazy late. But they just announced the 2024 inductees, yeah, and Dave Matthews made it. I knew you guys would be happy about that.
SPEAKER_00Can't stand Dave Matthews.
SPEAKER_01I know, but I love him, and I'm very happy that he made it, which is the meeting.
SPEAKER_00So Ozzy Osborne and Peter Frampton, and the one I'm really the most excited to see is Cher. That's gonna be great. So now Cher was in with Bono, but never in solo. She was not in with Bono, she was in with Sonny Bono. They're two different people. Oh, yeah, Bono.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. What's so funny? We go to this restaurant like in Napa, and I can't pronounce the name of the restaurant. I'm always screwing it up. Oni tre, oni oh, oh. And so then they say it's oh no, tree. And I I kept thinking of him, and I was like, Oh no, tree. Oh, Bono. I had Bono on the brain. You know why? Because when I was watching the documentary, he gets political too, by Jovi. Yeah, I was saying this this morning. Why is everybody political? I guess you know you have the platform, whatever, but Bono, all these people so political. Dave Matthews, so political. Oh, he is? I didn't know he was. Yeah. Not Bono, Sonny Bono Bono. So oh no, tree. Anyway, she was in with Sonny and not in by herself. Is that what happened?
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_01So she'll be confusing because there's a lot of that. Like that they were in with another.
SPEAKER_00Stuff like that. There's a there's a bunch of that.
SPEAKER_01So who else?
SPEAKER_00It was Ozzy, um, Jimmy Buffett, Coolin' the Gang, Mary J. Blige. Right, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott. It's gonna be a good ceremony, I think.
SPEAKER_01Very nice. Yes, rock and roll, fame, everyone. When is that?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. I didn't write that part down.
SPEAKER_01We'll get back to you on when that is. No clue. Did you see that T Swift was at the aria in that speakeasy? Yeah. I was I was in that speakeasy. And if I was in that speakeasy
Taylor swift in Vegas
SPEAKER_01and she walks in with the with my homes and oh god, I would die. So apparently they were all there. Yeah, they were there for some charity event at the easy cocktail lounge at the aria, which is a speakeasy at the front, like a donut shop. And I hear she's sad to go back on tour because she's had some quality time.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think her tour restarts in May and it takes her right up to football season. And she was somewhere with Gigi. Well, they were in what? Pompey?
SPEAKER_01Some place in California, Sub California, yeah, it with Gigi. And it's funny because you know that they're friends, but the fact that now she's dating Bradley Cooper, it's just like hilarious to me.
SPEAKER_00To think about that foursome together is just mind-blowing to me. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01Like, what? Like Bradley is part of the big down-to-earth, you know, like Jennifer Aniston. These are his friends, right?
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_00So funny. It's just, and he's such a down-to-earth guy. It's it's real. So, like to be put into this situation where you're with the biggest people in the world right now, it doesn't feel like he belongs there, but yet I'm sure he did just fine. What's the story with Megan and Machine Gun Celly? They've called off their engagement, but they're still together. They do things together,
Megan Fox and MGK Update
SPEAKER_00they just have called off their engagement. I mean, they have each other's blood, they gotta get it together.
SPEAKER_01Remember when they took that blood vow or whatever? Yeah. I mean, come on. When you exchange blood, it's serious. Well, I'm rooting for them. You know I love Machine Gun Kelly. Of course. Who's not? When are we getting the Morgan Whalen post-malone official video? Like they're giving
Morgan Wallen and Post Malone's Song
SPEAKER_01me little.
SPEAKER_00I've watched the trailer of the song 50 million times. I've watched the making of the video a million times. When is the song dropping, people? It's so annoying. I'm freaking out. I can't wait. I'm going to Morgan Wallen and he better friggin' sing that song and post better come out. You think?
SPEAKER_01Oh, that'd be so good.
SPEAKER_00They cannot launch this song without Post talking or singing or something.
SPEAKER_01He's got a big one. Yeah, no, I agree. I mean, I I agree with you. So, couple things is I'm I'm finishing it, but I'm really hating Palm Royale now. I told you I bagged it. I'm not even interested.
Palm Royale SUCKS/Apple Plus
SPEAKER_01I know you bagged it, but if you watched this week, you would have definitely, if you didn't already bag it, you would have bagged it this week. I just was thinking of you the entire time I was watching this episode. It was out there. I'm only left. I have no clue. I'm going to finish just because I need to finish, but it is not a stream it by any means.
SPEAKER_00Okay, good. In my opinion. It wasn't mine, and that's why I bagged it. I got Queen of Tears I gotta worry about now. You got Queen of Tears.
SPEAKER_01And I tried, you know, we said last week that we were going to try sugar. Sugar is on Apple Plus.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Film Noir.
Sugar/Apple Plus
SPEAKER_00And I do not do film noir. But not the whole thing is. Not every I don't do film noir. I don't get it. It's never resonated with me. I am not doing anything film noir. Forget it, not happening. I think you just like to say that. I do like to say film noir. You like to say it. Pinot noir.
SPEAKER_01What does noir mean, actually? So Colin Farrell.
SPEAKER_00We know what noir means.
SPEAKER_01What's who is in it?
SPEAKER_00Colin Farrell.
SPEAKER_01And there's somebody else in it that we know.
SPEAKER_00Wait a minute. Who else is in it? Wait, how can you have Pinot Noir and Fil Noir? Are they the same noirs? What does noir mean? You should know this. Well, a noir in a film is like the genre. The genre. Yeah, yeah. I do not like it. What is the mood and the tone of the Pinot Noir? I think it's just like dark. Is it moody? It's dark. It's just dark. Right. So noir must mean dark.
SPEAKER_01Let's do the context clues. Noir means dark, so I'm not really, yeah. Okay. So dark wine and dark. It's also a French word for black. So I mean, you know.
SPEAKER_00Dark. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Look at us figuring it out. But back to that. You like to say it.
unknownI do.
SPEAKER_01I mean, people are saying the show is good and I like him. It's not like I don't like him. So I watched the first episode. Maybe one and a half. And I thought to myself, not sure this is something I want to continue with. No bueno. I say no bueno. But I'm respecting people's opinions if it is good.
SPEAKER_00Who do we know that watched it? Anybody?
unknownI don't know.
SPEAKER_01I thought we heard people that said we should give sugar a chance.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I it was on the list, and I checked it out and I said to myself, this is so not for me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think I have to wait. I know don't we have things dropping soon? We have a big week.
SPEAKER_00This is a big week.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And I'm still watching Girls on the Bus. I'm enjoying.
SPEAKER_00That episode was great. Yeah, it's all. Although they teased us because I thought Gail King was going to be in it and she wasn't. Oh, that's funny.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right. Yeah, no, I'm enjoying Girls on the Bus, and that's on Max. And then we have a big week. Yeah, we have a few things. Well, I don't know about all this week, but May, May, the beginning of May is going to be nice. Yes.
SPEAKER_00And I did watch all of the Jimmy Kimmel weed store documentary series. How was that? High hopes? Yeah.
High Hopes/Hulu
SPEAKER_00Six episodes. Hilarious. Love it. What is it on? It is on Hulu. So you will have to search it out.
SPEAKER_01Another one on Hulu you need to search for. Right.
SPEAKER_00But that's not for me either. I have to look it up. There was another show about a weed store, and it was a documentary. I think it was at the beginning of when marijuana became legal in certain states. And I watched that, and that wasn't as funny as this. The crew of this store, it's called MMD, which is medical marijuana dispensary. But apparently it's a big deal in LA and they've franchised and blown up having a lot of different stores. But the main staff, the fact that they get anything done is unbelievable. All they do is smoke weed.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, it's not for me. But great. But it was good. It was good. Yeah. Good. All right. So do we have anything else that we need to talk about? I'm gonna have another sip of my Syrah. Do we have anything else we need to talk about before the game?
SPEAKER_00The only thing I want to say is that for anybody
Little People Big World is OVER
SPEAKER_00that's has stuck with little people, big world all these 20 years or 20 seasons. Like you, like you. Like me, it appears that the show is over, even though TLC did not call it a series finale and they called it a season finale. I have read everybody's posts and they have not been re-signed, and all the kids are not going to be in the show anymore. So most likely. Well, isn't it time? Isn't it time? Once you're oh, yeah, it should have ended a while ago, but anytime there's little people involved, I'm in.
SPEAKER_01All right. So, so I mean, it had a good run.
SPEAKER_00It had, and I love Matt Roloff to this day. I'm still a huge Matt Roloff fan. All right, delightful, delightful. All right, what do we got? What do we got? Okay, for me. So because you came back from Napa, yes, I was trying to think of something alcoholic
GAME TIME
SPEAKER_00to do as a theme.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I might have done something similar because you're you, I was trying to think of something alcoholic. Yep, that's me. All right.
SPEAKER_00But I was just trying to celebrate.
SPEAKER_01It's so funny. I was with my cousins, and they like, oh my god, I cannot believe our first tasting is at 10 a.m. How are we drinking at 10 a.m.? I go, it's late.
SPEAKER_00That's afternoon. Come on. Okay, so I'm gonna tell you the name of a celebrity alcoholic beverage company. It is multiple choice. You're just gonna tell me who the owner of that company is, or we did a steak.
SPEAKER_01We did, I don't know if you did it or I did it, but we didn't do owner, we did their favorite cocktail. Remember? Okay, yes. Remember, we did like what Jennifer Addison's favorite cocktail was? Okay, let's do it. Hampton water, Bon Jovi. He's not in this. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I knew you would know that one. Okay, so there's a mezcal called Dos Hombres. Dos Hombres. Yes. So is it owned by Kaya Gerber and Austin Butler? Brian Cranston and Aaron Paul, Jay-Z and Beyonce, F1 driver Max Verstappen and his dad, or Brad Pitt. Oh my god. All right. It is owned by. Give me my choices again. Kaya Gerber and Austin Butler.
SPEAKER_01They definitely own something.
SPEAKER_00Brian Cranston and Aaron Paul. Jay-Z and Beyonce, F1 driver Max Verstappen and his dad, or Brad Pitt.
SPEAKER_01Max owns something. He probably does. They all own everything. Uh I know I've seen them. I've seen it. I've seen it. It is the uh breaking bad people. That is correct.
SPEAKER_00Yes! Brian Cranston and Aaron Paul own those home raises.
SPEAKER_01I've seen them promote it. Okay. I think this one's super. They were also like guest bartenders at places, right?
SPEAKER_00Oh, is that true?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they were promoting their stuff being guest bartenders all throughout LA.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. Didn't know. I think this one's a slam dunk. Okay, who owns King Street Bodka? Gail King, Stephen Colbert, Venus Williams, Kate Hudson, or Kevin Hart?
SPEAKER_01King Street? I never had King Street vodka, did you? Nope. Give me the choices again.
SPEAKER_00Gail King, Kate Hudson, Stephen Colbert, Kevin Hart, or Venus Williams.
SPEAKER_01You're trying to trick me with Gail King. This is this is Gail King. It's not Gail King. Was it Venus Williams? Not Venus Williams. What's the other one? Kevin Hart, Stephen Colbert, or Kate Hudson. No, it's a girl. So it's gotta be Kate Hudson. That is correct. Yeah, I only knew it was a girl. I actually didn't know it was Kate Hudson.
SPEAKER_00Okay. The next one is called Silver Ray Rum, which I have never heard of in. Never heard of that. Okay. Is it owned by Jeff Bezos, Jason Bateman, Bruno Mars, Travis Kelsey, or Drew Barrymore? Silveray Rum.
SPEAKER_01I'm not a big rum drinker.
SPEAKER_00Me either.
SPEAKER_01I hate rum.
SPEAKER_00I mean, when it was a Malibu Babies, I was in the middle. I mean, right.
SPEAKER_01Talking about.
SPEAKER_00All right, give me the people again. That's okay. Jeff Bezos. Jason Bateman. Bruno Mars. Drew Barrymore or Travis Kelsey. So it's not Jason Bateman. It's not Travis Kelsey. What are my other choices? Jeff Bezos, Drew Barrymore, or Bruno Mars.
SPEAKER_01Does Drew Barrymore own a rump? I gotta go with the music people. They own rum. They sing like we're having daiquiries. Bruno Mars.
SPEAKER_00That's correct. You're three for three. This is your best game ever. Okay. Number four. Again, never heard of it. Haig Club Scotch. Have you ever heard of this? I don't do scotch. Okay. So is it owned by Alan Cummings, Amy Polar, Courtney Cox, Derek Jeter, or David Beckham?
SPEAKER_01Speaking of Amy Palmer, did you see that they're gonna be the Golden Girls? Yeah, I did. Is that real? I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I hope it's real. That would be amazing.
SPEAKER_01Okay, sorry.
SPEAKER_00I get it. I didn't know if that was real. It's not Amy. So what's my other choices besides Amy? Alan Cummings, Courtney Cox, Derek Jeter, David Beckham.
SPEAKER_01It's gotta be Alan Cummings or David Beckham. Ground drinkers. Alan Cummings looks like he would have a nice scotch. David Beckham? I mean, he's from London. Do they drink that shit? I didn't even know this was a thing. But he does own something. I didn't know if it was a scotch, though. Oh shit. Is it Alan or David? Alan's busy. He's on Broadway. I gotta go David. Yes, that's four for four.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_00This is my best game ever. This is your best game ever. I can't even believe it. Wait, if you sweep this, this is literally his. Let's not get crazy. This could be history in the making. Let's not get crazy. Let's not get crazy. Okay. Last one. Okay. The name of the beverage is Dreaming Tree Wine. Have you heard of this? Yes. That's Dave Matthews.
SPEAKER_01Correct. Yeah. Of course I know that. That's the one I know. Five for five. Oh my god. Let me take my 2009 Syrah. I'm screwing up Sunny Bono and Bono.
SPEAKER_00But yes, five for five on the alcoholic beverages.
SPEAKER_01Hopefully, this brings good luck to our New York teams. Hopefully, it's a good luck day, everybody. Cheers. Love ya. Love ya.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh.
