Harmonious World
Harmonious World consists of interviews with great musicians, composers and producers across all genres, from jazz to classical, from folk to rock and everything in between. I’m a writer, musician and podcaster and this all started with a Quincy Jones quote I came across by chance during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown: “Imagine what a harmonious world it could be if every single person, both young and old, shared a little of what he is good at doing." I'm so pleased to have interviewed - and will continue to interview - so many great musicians from around the world.

Jane Ira Bloom and Allison Miller
I was delighted to be joined by soprano sax player Jane Ira Bloom for our second interview alongside her collaborator, drummer and percussionist Allison Miller.
Tues Days is the pair's album of improvised sax and drum duets recorded in March and April 2021. The music is both rhythmic and lyrical, displaying a very clear exploration of their productive Tuesdays playing together.
Thanks to Jane and Allison for allowing me to start and finish this episode with tracks from the album alongside our conversation.

Don't forget the Quincy Jones quote that sums up why I do this: "Imagine what a harmonious world it would be if every single person, both young and old, shared a little of what he is good at doing."
