Hi and welcome to episode 140 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

At Insights 2024, Epicor unveiled its new Epicor Grow portfolio, an integrated set of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities powered by an industry-focused data platform tuned specifically for the requirements of the make, move, and sell industries. The Epicor Grow portfolio leverages many types of AI – generative, machine learning, natural language processing, predictive analytics, and more – to deliver more than 200 highly specific industry use cases that adapt to workers in their contextual environment or workflow. Industry specialization continues to play a vital role in ERP, with vendors like Epicor utilizing AI to deliver deep industry functionality more efficiently.

In other news, Workday announced its results for the fiscal 2025 first quarter ended April 30, 2024. Total revenues were $1.99 billion, an increase of 18.1% from the first quarter of fiscal 2024. Subscription revenues were about $1.82 billion, an increase of 18.8% from the same period last year. This shows Workday’s continued growth and the desire for its solutions on the market, further supported by Workday’s continued product development.

Then, OneStream announced at its annual conference, OneStream Splash, three purpose-built AI solutions: OneStream Sensible GenAI, OneStream Sensible ML Scenario Modeling, and OneStream Sensible AI Library. The OneStream Sensible AI portfolio is a set of packages applied AI solutions designed to address pertinent needs of Finance leaders – such as forecasting and scenario planning. AI’s role in ERP will remain prominent for many years to come as vendors identify more ways to deliver value through these tools.

Finally, Salesforce announced Service Cloud Digital Engagement enhancements that will help contact centers unify unstructured, conversational data from disparate digital channels, departments, and devices – all within one platform. Enhancements include unified conversations for WhatsApp, omnichannel on mobile, and bring your own channel capabilities. Salesforce is looking to empower customers to more effectively interact with their markets through multiple channels, enabling them to expand their business opportunities and reach.
