The 2024 Paris Olympics comes to an end this Sunday, August 11th. What's up, y'all? I'm Robert Wells. The Paris Olympics have been awesome, but I didn't like the opening ceremony because they were mocking the Last Supper. I didn't like that at all. It was completely ungodly and disrespectful because it was. But be not deceived. God is not mocked. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews chapter 10, verse 31. Other than that, the Paris Olympics have been really good. It's been good. I like it. I like what's going on. The United States of America have won the most medals in the 2024 Paris Olympics so far. We're very proud of the athletes representing the United States of America. Because we are in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Thank you. Thank you all. And gymnast Simone Bowles, oh, she has been phenomenal. So was the rest of the U.S. gymnastic teams too. Because they've been doing it, all of them. Also, Simone Bowles broke a 120-year-old record to become the only US gymnast to win six, but is now seven gold medals. She's the GOAT, greatest of all time. And I like this photo of Simone Bowes holding a heart with her hands to her husband in the stands, and he did it right back to her. I like that. Chicago Bears Safety, Jonathan Owens. Yeah, that's true love between the wife and husband, Simone Bowles and Jonathan Owens. Lord bless their marriage. Please bless their marriage. They're a good example to everyone. And track and field star Shakari Richardson did her thing. Like I knew she would. I knew it. She got second place in the 100-meter race, but still, she's still a gold medalist in our eyes. Awesome job, Shakeri Richardson. You keep your head up, girl. Keep it up. U.S. swimmer Katie Ledecki is the best female swimmer in U.S. history. Facts. And one of the best swimmers of all time. Facts. Because she is. She's up there with former U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps. Because he did his thing back in the day and she did it, she's doing her thing now. And Nora Lyles won the gold medal in the 100-meter race by 5 tenths of a second, the fastest man in the world. Unbelievable race too. Did you watch that? Unbelievable. Overall, the U.S. they will win more medals because they will, and finish the Olympics with the most medals, too, because they will. US A. See, in my mind, whether you won a gold, silver, bronze medal, or you didn't win a medal at all. You still won. Yes, you did. Why? The reason why is because you were in the Olympics representing your country, and you did it to the best of your ability. You did a great job. Not everyone on earth can say that. Not everyone on earth can say there was an Olympics. To every athlete and coach in the 2024 Paris Olympics, job well done. And it brought the whole world together. Thank you, Massai. That means thank you in French to Paris, France for hosting the 2024 Paris Olympics, and God bless every country on earth. In the NFL, all 32 teams will be playing this weekend in the preseason games. It will be the first preseason game for each NFL team, except the Houston Texans and the Chicago Bears, because they both played in the Pro Football Hall of Fame game last Thursday in Canton, Ohio. And that was a good game too because it was uh for the time that they had. The game ended with three minutes and 31 seconds left in the third quarter due to bad weather. Yeah, it was bad out there. Speaking of the Chicago Bears, oh yeah, you know I'm a Bears fan. Their starters will be playing in a way game against the Buffalo Bills, because they are tomorrow, Saturday, August 10th. That should be a good game, a good preseason game. Bears fans and myself included, can't wait to see the number one overall pick and the ninth overall pick of the 2024 NFL draft. Quarterback Caleb Williams and wide receiver Roma Dunze in action. We just can't wait. They'll probably play a quarter or two, maybe. If they play like three quarters or more, I'll be completely shocked because it can happen. Also, possibly Bears' third-round pick, offensive lineman, Karan Amagaji, and fifth round pick, Austin Booker. I can't wait to see them play. Like I said before, I think Austin Booker is a steal for the Bears in the draft, and he will make some noise in the season, too, in his rookie year. I think he's gonna do that. Mark my words, because I think it's gonna happen. Austin Booker had a sack, and he was everywhere in a pro football hall of fame game, too. So yeah, look out for him. Yeah, I think he's gonna be a star in the upcoming season and in years to come. It was a preseason game that didn't mean much, but it gave confidence to the Bears' young players, and as a whole, heading into the rest of the preseason and the regular season too. Yeah, I think it did. It gave a lot of confidence, all of them. The Bears had three preseason games to play last Saturday. Three former Chicago Bears players were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Yeah, Steve Mongo, McMichael, Devin Hester, and Julius Peppers. Yeah, they made it in. Julius Peppers went into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as the Carolina Panther. But he gave a shout out to the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers of his appreciation. And it was a good speech if you saw it. He did a good job when he was in Chicago and his career. The Carolina Panthers drafted Julius Peppers, the second overall pick in the 2002 NFL draft. Team Peppers, my friend Anna, we always say that. And it was a special day for them and other men who were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2024. And finally, NFL's Hard Knocks premiered on Tuesday, August 6th of the Chicago Bears. First time in franchise history that the Chicago Bears are on Hard Knocks. Wow. You can watch it every Tuesday at 9 p.m. Central Time on HBO Max. Yeah, there are four weeks left of one-hour episodes each until it ends on September 3rd. Yeah, Hard Knocks of the Chicago Bears got me hyped up! Yes, it did for the regular season to start. Bear down.
