Let's face it: We already drive around in our cars riding atop a barrel of gasoline - with small, controlled explosions going on at the other end.  That's how the internal combustion engine in our gas-powered vehicles works.

So, how do emergency responders view the use of an electric-powered vehicle  - and do they offer a level of safety on-par with their gas-powered counterparts?

But, in this episode, he talks about how experts are still working to standardize how emergency response professionals deal with fires in EVs. In particular, he discusses some of the unique concerns when dealing with an EV fire.
