We get a whole episode devoted to former Chief of Mapleton Police, Kevin Garvey Sr., in the third episode of The Leftovers, Season 3. Listeners, we're HERE FOR IT! Grandpa Kevin is up to some crazy stuff in Australia like getting stranded in the Outback, accidentally killing a perfectly nice aboriginal shaman, listening to tapes of Kevin Jr., ace reporter, and getting bitten by a poisonous snake even though snakes are apparently the Garvey family totem. But it's all in service of trying to prevent the apocalypse, so no big deal... right? Meanwhile, we keep wondering why Kevin and Mary never talk about ending up in the Westin Bonaventure - Purgatory!
