Ultimately, the paper concludes MASEF to indeed be a promising diagnostic tool for the assessment of at-risk MASH. Specifically, it states that MASEF "could be used alternatively to liver stiffness measurement by VCTE in the algorithm that is currently recommended by several guidance publications."
