He also tells the true story of how he asked for - and received - a forward for his book from Elvis Costello; being a part of a writing panel at AmericanaFest with fellow music writers Holly George Warren and Marshall Chapman; plus how a book he read by The Who guitarist Pete Townshend inspired Michael to write his first book.
