Jeri Rogers is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Artemis Journal. The journal was started back in 1977 when Jeri was director of a Women’s Counseling Center in Roanoke, Virginia. She created therapeutic writing workshops for the center’s clients who were abused, and the journal emerged as a result of the women’s writing. Formally a feminist journal, the journal evolved to include men publishing over 3000 artworks and poetry from writers and artists of the Blue Ridge Mountains and beyond. 10% of sales are donated to a women’s shelter in SW Virginia. Jeri resides with her Attorney/Judge husband, Jonathan Rogers, with their dogs and horses on their farm in Floyd, Virginia.
