Show Notes

In this episode, I’m so excited to interview jazz vocalist Changamiré, from Washington, DC.

AllAboutJazz.com has this to say about her music: "It's difficult to nail down just what makes her voice so darn compelling. Maybe it's the comfort and familiarity, maybe the confiding honesty. Whatever the case, it works exceptionally well."

We talk about how Changamiré was introduced to jazz, how she chose her stage name, and learn more about when she found her voice and pursued her passion. She gives guidance to other creatives and entrepreneurs who may be juggling a 9 to 5 and working towards their dreams.

Artists and musicians have particularly been hard hit by the pandemic with the closure of live events and touring. We talk about how listeners can help just by adding their favorite songs to their playlists.

Changamiré is doing a special promotion to help one of her beloved causes, the Lambi Fund of Haiti. When you make a donation to the Lambi Fund , DM Changamiré your donation receipt, your postal address (anywhere in the world) and she’ll send you an “Only Human’ poster (from her album, Only Human) when you cover the postage ($8 USD). Contact Changamiré for more details.

Special thanks to Changamiré and her independent record label, Sonnig Records LLC, for giving us permission to play her song, Only Human, on this episode.
