Hey guys and welcome back to another episode of your Brains Coach podcast. My name is Angela Shurina, I'm your host, I'm your Brains Coach and it is my job here to bring to you all the best recent, cutting-edge insights from all the different fields and branches of brain, body work sciences so you could take better control of your emotions, of your thoughts and, most importantly, take better and smarter actions to make your hard work count and use it where it's truly needed, so you could get closer and closer to the life experience you absolutely love living Closer and faster. Today is all about being smart. Today's podcast is all about being smart and I think I was inspired by a few things today.
Speaker 1First of all, I had an amazing night of sleep. That is always an upgrade to your creativity. One of my clients today sent me a message in the morning. He's like oh, I got eight hours of sleep, did my personal best at swimming and just feeling happy. You know, great night of sleep can do so much for you. You cannot even imagine there is a reason why Olympic athletes try to get nine hours of great quality sleep, especially around most important competitions like Olympic games, and I definitely notice when I have a great night of sleep, eight or more hours. I'm just on fire. My brain is so creative. It's like, oh, I can do this and this and that I can combine this. It's like I'm channeling some universal energy and workouts are also a blast. It's like I can kill it. I can do a lot more reps. I did actually my personal best on pull-ups today. It used to be my least favorite move and now I'm getting better and better at it.
Speaker 1So sleeping boosts. It's a boost to absolutely every single area of your life. And the thing about sleep it's like that silent warrior we were talking with my client about that. It doesn't scream the next day or everything in your life is better because you just slept eight hours, but silently. It makes micro improvements to every single aspect of your health your physical, your mental, your emotional well-being and also to the way you perform, you show up for your work, for people around you, and that when you look at it backwards if we could only trace what impact sleep specifically had on your life, you're going to end up in a completely different space. So that's just a little bit about sleep and motivating you to get more sleep. Again, there is a reason why elite performers set their sleep as their priority, so want to set your personal best. Don't forget to set your personal best in sleeping.
Speaker 1So today, again, is all about being smarter, and one of the things about our world today, obviously on getting smarter, is AI. Right, I use it in my writing as my editor. For example, I'm really good at generating content like from on a blank page, like just putting it all out there, but then structure, spelling, grammar. Like you know me and my typos that always is a challenge, but with AI these days I can, in just a few seconds, correct all of it and there is no need for any other proofreader or editor. So AI definitely makes our world easier in so many subtle ways also that we don't even notice anymore.
Speaker 1But AI guys, ai is not the only thing that changed under the sun. Pretty much much every damn thing in life around you changed for the better. Now my question to you is are you using it or trying to use it, or learning about that in the areas, especially in the areas that are important to you, like, for example, getting in the best shape of your life, looking sharp, which adds to your confidence, which adds to your image, which is perceived by other people. And when I walk in the room and I have some shirt that is sleeveless, people are like, well, where have you been all this time In the gym? And then I get this boost of confidence immediately, also because I know that obviously I did showed up in the gym. But that back to the point, that being in the best shape of your life doesn't just give you those fleeting compliments and boost to your confidence that might help with imposter syndrome. It's not just about that. It's also about the energy that you feel inside when you are in your best shape physically. It just radiates from inside out that energy, that vitality, that zest. Why am I speaking about that? Well, did you know that you don't have to suffer that much and make it so damn difficult to get in the best shape of your life?
Speaker 1A little bit of context here, perspective when I was 20, going through my fitness modeling phase, trying to look like a magazine cover, I always thought that the only way those people and, by the way, those people actually did do a lot of that. So it's not just my fault, but I thought the only way you could look that sharp was to eat nothing but egg whites and broccoli. My mom still remembers and reminds me of that Like, oh remember, before you used to eat that many egg whites and tomatoes by the bucket. But literally that's what I thought. I thought I believed that getting in that shape had to be tough and difficult and that I'd always need to have starved myself to look like that. And fast forward to today. I eat chocolate almost every every day, pasta sometimes when I feel like it's not really a pasta person, um, and I feel stuffed after dinner like I'm never hungry. My workouts are stronger than ever, my looks are better than ever and if you want to see how I look, subscribe to my daily newsletter, one email a day that your best self will thank you for. So sign up Absolutely free, complimentary, with a ton of insights, links and books and strategies for work and life to leave it smarter again, so you could enjoy the life you want easier, instead of making it unnecessarily tough, just like me and my egg whites. Right, I thought I needed to start myself and eat egg whites and broccoli and basically live on that till the rest of my life, which obviously was a mission impossible, and I binged a lot and was ewing with my weight. It was a lot of craziness. Growing up isn't easy. Fast forward to today Again.
Speaker 1I eat chocolate, pasta, feel stuffed and not hungry. My workouts are strong and people always comment on how much I actually eat when I have good food in front of me, feeling happier than ever. My brain is sharper than ever. Sleep is amazing. I just want to get out there and conquer the world. Do you want to feel like that and look accordingly? Listen up. Nutri-bullet for abs and mental sharpness. So fast forward.
Speaker 1I'm 37. This July turned 37, feeling like it's the best time of my life and it's just the beginning. 15 years of work in coaching, work with clients around the world literally that was nomadic lifestyle gave me contacts pretty much on every continent, in a lot of countries. So 15 years of work globally, certifications that were ongoing I'm always getting certified like literally nonstop, and personal experience under my belt and I wish more people knew and I wish I knew somehow back then that looking your best isn't about suffering. Guys Like you don't have to suffer. Did you know that? It's about knowing the numbers just a few of them and being smarter about your options, like seeing that there are other options. For example, like swapping regular pasta for the cauliflower one, when I crave it and have a whole plate of pasta and no guilt or change to my looks whatsoever, just a little bit more fiber to feed that good gut. Microbiome Abs are sharp, mind is clear, no after-pasta sleepiness or food coma and my pasta craving is satisfied and I got additional cauliflower into my belly. So did you know, guys, that the world has changed quite a bit in the last decade, and not just AI, but the whole damn thing in every area of your life? Did you know that?
Speaker 1And then, using one of my favorite questions from Tim Ferriss, you know, I think, the most famous optimizer of everything that is under the sun. So check him out. Teamblog, not affiliated, just been a follower and learner of his work for I don't know 20 years, maybe like 17. Anyhow. So his favorite question what if that, if this could be easy? What if that, if this could be easy? So my question to you is are you making things easier for yourself or are you still convinced that harder is always better? Now, hey, guys, to reach great goals, to become a master of something like there is no way you have to work hard Mastery. You cannot buy that. To master any skill, to get good at anything, you have to work hard, but not everything has to be hard, like your nutrition.
Speaker 1A lot of my clients executive clients, who can afford any kind of food and food service out there, they go away for a couple of weeks and end up at first eating, you know, whatever. That doesn't work for their fitness and health goals. And I always ask them well, hey, did you actually know that you could have asked me and I could organize meal delivery service and you could have the best, proportionally accurate, totally fitting your goals and aspiration food delivered to there and you wouldn't have to do any cooking, shopping or worrying about food whatsoever. Like did you know that? Right? So things don't always have to be hard, like eating that pasta. I can still have my pasta, have my abs, have all the fun, enjoy my food and have an amazing quality of life. I don't have to live on egg whites and broccoli to get to the results I want.
Speaker 1So are you making it harder than it has to be? Just look at where you're struggling and ask yourself am I making this harder than it has to be? What if that could be easy? And that is exactly what I'm going to leave you with, by the way, to know all the blows and whistles in nutrition world that happened in the last decade and even in the past couple of months. To put it into action, you can easily schedule one hour consultation with me. It's $120, but it's going to be one of the best investment in your nutrition education you're going to make in the past decade. I guarantee you that. There are multiple testimonials of my many clients around the world, right? So the link to this session is in the show notes.
Speaker 1Check it out, upgrade your nutrition, get your apps If that's something you want to do to look sharp, get all the compliments and just radiate that zest and drive into any room you enter. So check it out. But then, the most important thing, ask yourself this question are you making it harder than it has to be? It's not just AI and the change, it's the whole damn thing. Angela, thank you for listening. Thank you for paying attention.
