"Praying For Healing"

In the Gospels, Jesus spent a lot of time healing the sick. He taught His disciples to do the same. After His ascension, the early church continued to emulate what Jesus had taught them. They continued praying for the sick and seeing them healed! If God really still heals the sick, how does that impact how we practice our faith?
