"Relationships Are Hard Work"

In this section of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus puts His finger on our relationships. Where are we hurting? Where are we harboring resentment, anger or bitterness? How can we move towards forgiveness and reconciliation? Jesus emphasizes that the community of believers will be the light of the world. If we are to be that light  we need to learn to love each other -- and that will always require doing the hard work. Relationships are a gift from God, but they aren't easy. In the hard work though, we will find God's grace and healing.
