Today, we're going to look at the election of 2024. And what does it mean to you and me? That's really what's important. How does it fit into God's prophetic plan? We've discussed so many things. The situation with AI is growing day to day. We've mentioned that many times. We know that the war in Israel continues to grind on. The war in Ukraine, China threatening Taiwan, and wars in Africa and other Eastern European nations. The elections in France have caused a disaster. People are rioting in the streets; the left has gone off the rails, and they have to host the Olympics. See how that works out. The world is ablaze. So, who wins the election in 2024? There's a lot of talk.

I'm sure you've been filled in by the many podcasts and television news and on and on about Biden. Should he continue? Will he be the next nominee? Will the Democratic Convention change all that? We have to wait and see. If you've been following along, you know that I've said from the beginning there's no way that they're not going to pull a switch at this point. They really don't have a choice and I feel bad for the man. I think it's terrible that those around him, his family and his friends, are allowing this to take place. If this doesn't prove to you that they will do anything to stay in power, I don't know what to say. Everything they've done to Trump whether you hate him or love him was wrong and still is, and now they're doing it to their own. They have no shame. Is Trump going to be the victor? He's in the lead now by quite a bit because of all this that's been going on with Biden.

But what does it mean for you and me? What does it mean for those of us who believe in the biblical outcome? That's really what I want to talk about. We can have all our opinions about a lot of things. Who we don't like, who we kind of like? Is this all we have to choose from? On and on it goes, but let's try to focus only on the biblical part of it. What do I mean by that? I've mentioned this before, but it's worth mentioning again.

This election is really about nationalism versus globalism. That's really what it boils down to those who want America and the world to be controlled by one group of people or, eventually, one individual. Do we want our medical hea;th to be controlled by WHO? Sounds like an Abbott and Costello skit. Who is the United Nations agency that connects nations and partners and people to promote health. The World Health Organization. So, the next time there's a pandemic or anything like that happens, they would be in control of the whole world Scary. Next we have the World Economic Forum, another organization that would completely control all the money and transactions throughout the world, our currency, controlled by digital cash, a CBDC. Basically, we're talking about control. It all comes back to control, doesn't it? And we know that the scripture talks about this Antichrist figure who will be in control of everything.

A new report came out by Oxfam O-X-F-A-M. Oxfam is a British-founded confederation of 21 independent non-governmental organizations. They keep track of the global poverty level. Their new findings just came out the richest 1% grabbed nearly two-thirds of all new wealth worth $42 trillion created since 2020. Almost twice as much money as the bottom 99% of the world's population. During the past decade, the richest 1% had captured around half of all new wealth.

What does that tell you? It reminds me of the book of James, chapter 5. Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you. Your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. After you make a statement like that, I guess you always have to say well, there's nothing wrong with having money and there's nothing wrong with being wealthy. This is true. It's all about your heart and where you are with God. Here we're talking about a world gone mad. So, my point is it is not only a separation of globalism and nationalism, but it's also a separation of the rich and the poor. It's an old story, but now it's extreme.

When I first started teaching this subject back in the early 90s, when you picked up Forbes magazine back in the day, they had the top 500 richest people, and they were all millionaires. Some of them were quite rich with a 400 or 500 million dollar worth, but you wouldn't even get close to that list with that money today. Only billionaires could make that list today. But yet there are still those of us who struggle from week to week and there's people that will blame and say well, you're just not smart enough, you didn't do the right things, you didn't get the right education. Blah, blah, blah. Jesus said the poor you will have with you always. It's a way of life. I don't consider myself poor. I'm blessed to be where I am today, but I live week to week, month to month. I've been in the ministry most of my life in one way or another, and the decisions I have made have directly affected my financial situation. But yet God has blessed me in many, many ways.

So getting back to the election of 2024, I do not believe it's going to change a whole lot. Now you might say, wow, you're kind of a defeatist. Well, not really. I'm trying to be a realist. I see the way the world's going, I see it's accelerating and I see that there is a judgment on the horizon.

The church needs to be separate. It needs to think about its mission. It needs to get on its knees—that's me included—and pray in the power of the Holy Spirit. We need to pray and read God's word to change the world. We have a right to vote in this country. It's God-given, and many have bled and died for it, so we should do it. But our real allegiance belongs to Jesus Christ.

So, knowing that, what kind of future do we want? How about all those coming across the border? It's not about Mexico anymore, that's an old story from years ago. It's about Venezuela, all of South America, the Middle East, China, on and on. What are we to think about that?

I did a podcast about that several weeks ago, questioning whether this was a plan. Could the people in Washington DC running our country could really be that foolish? Or is it a master plan to take down the system? Let's work out a couple scenarios. Suppose Biden is replaced, and that replacement, whoever that may be there's a lot of speculation on who that could be. Suppose they win the election in November, then the elite. Who is really running this show? Let's face it the money, people in this world, the billionaires, are really running the show.

To think that our elected officials have much to do with it, is a fantasy. It's all about the money, the power and the control. It always has been. There's no mystery to it now. There's no covert activity, it's all out in the open. So we'd have to believe that if the current administration gets back in, then that same program will continue. The borders will stay open, the economy will struggle and we will be in agreement with other nations around the world to become a one world government, one world currency, one big, happy family.

If Trump wins, he will battle these issues. He has sworn never to allow a CBDC to be made in America, no cashless society for him, and he is a nationalist. He wants America to be the best it can be separate nation involved in the world, but completely separate. But I have to say that even if Trump gets elected and begins to turn the big ship a little bit to a different course, it's merely temporary. I, like a lot of Americans, would love to see the economy straighten out. I would love to see the interest rates drop.

These are all things that affect our lives. We can't deny that. There's nothing super spiritual about that. It's called survival and living, and I would love to see our schools to just teach our kids how to become more intelligent. We don't need you to impress upon them all the sexual diverse directions they could go in. That's the most important thing to me, and we must not confuse God's mercy and his forbearance and his long-suffering with blessing. They're completely two different things. Just because the country hasn't gone all the way down the tubes doesn't mean that God's blessing. It just means that God is merciful, he is kind and long-suffering. The kingdom of God is on its way and it's high time.

So let's take a close look at what's going on right now in our world. Over the past year, China and Russia have become very close and, as of right now, there's an 11-day joint military exercise near the Belarusian city of Brest, some five kilometers from the Polish border, definitely sending a sign to NATO during their summit. The world is changing. The Russian and Ukraine war cannot be won by the Ukraine. Too many have already died in a war that should have been negotiated long ago. The United States and the rest of the NATO nations keep the bravado going. Ukraine will become a NATO country, and on and on the boasting goes as the United States and Europe continue to pour weapons into the Ukraine which, at this point, if you watch the news that you have to dig for, you will find videos of the Ukrainian government capturing men on the street and dragging them into the army. Nobody wants to fight anymore. Hundreds of thousands have died. The country is being destroyed.

Now we move south to what's going on with Hamas and Hezbollah and Iran, and now Syria and possibly soon to be Russia and Israel. These are not minor skirmishes that are going on. Most Americans may not realize this, but we are already at war. We are in an economic war that could easily translate into a physical war with China and Russia. That leads us to the economic situation. Take a look at the BRICS economy, where these countries have come together to form their economic program and their currency. This is not a dream. This is not something that's going to happen possibly ten years from now. This is happening right now. They're putting pressure on other nations to join and buying up gold like it's going out of style. Why are they doing that? Many believe that the BRICS countries will use gold as their standard for the worth of their new economy. Like I said before, the world is changing. We just did a podcast on AI and what's going on there, and I'm sure that you've heard much about it from other sources, and I hope you have. We are moving into a place we've never been before.

When I used to teach this, people used to say to me oh Russ, you know I get it, you know you're really into this stuff, but you know nothing much has changed over the years. Everything is the same. Well, we really can't say that now, if you're educated and you look around and you read and you watch and you're observant, no, these things have never happened before in history, and the world is heading to Armageddon, spiritually and physically. So we know about the world's plans. We know about what the billionaires are thinking about. They can't get enough money. They want to be richer and richer and richer.

But what's God's plan?

Do people know God's plan? I've said this repeatedly, but people aren't getting it. People are nervous people are upset. They don't know which way to turn. They don't know who to trust anymore. I get it, but we need to know God's plan. That's what gives us peace. God has a plan. No, the world is not going to be nuked and just orbit around the sun as some burning cinder. That's not God's plan. God's plan is to redeem you and me, as many people will come to him. He will redeem, and he wants to redeem his creation. It's important to him. God does not want us running around screaming the sky is falling. Everyone else is doing that.

We need to go around and say peace is coming through Jesus Christ. Yes, the world is messed up. We've screwed things up, but a savior is coming who is Christ the Lord.  It's getting dark on purpose, so our lights will shine brighter. Let's not be like the five foolish virgins in Jesus' story who had run out of oil and let the relationship with God lapse. Let's be like the five wise who kept their relationship with God fresh and ready when the King came. Keep praying, and stay connected to the vine.
