Welcome everyone. This is Russ Scalzo Chronicles of the End Times, and we had a little technical glitch when we loaded this podcast up, so if you've listened to it before, I apologize. We're just reloading it because I had a couple little issues. As we continue our look into the future of what God has for us, and as we talked about in the last podcast, it's a lot different than what science has planned down the line. As per our last podcast, ray Kurzweil hopes to bring back his father from the dead using technology and with the assistance, of course, of AI. But God has a greater plan, a plan to bring us into a new world with a new body, and we talked about the glorified body last time. It's just an amazing thing, isn't it, to dwell on that. We're going to live forever in a body that will never get tired, never be hungry, never be thirsty. We can eat and we can drink, but not out of necessity, but out of joy. Now there's a diet plan for you, right? Also, there'll be no disease and, I believe, there'll be no mosquitoes. What do you think about that? The millennial reign of Christ is going to be a beautiful, beautiful thousand years in which Jesus Christ himself will reign from Jerusalem, and we will be there with all the patriarchs of the Bible, all those who have come to God, who are faithful to the Lord Old Testament, new Testament along with those who survived the great battles and those who survived all the plagues. Now we know that's not going to be a great amount of people. We don't know what that number could be, but if you start out with 8.4 or 5 billion, whatever the population may be at that time, and you calculate all the plagues, all the wars, the population of the earth will be quite depleted. So, what is the earth going to look like After all that?

02:12

The book of Revelation describes meteors hitting the ground, volcanoes, exploding earthquakes, disease, pestilence and war. It needs a healing, and this will come from the Lord, Jesus Christ. From his throne in Jerusalem, he will begin to heal and speak healing to the world and to the earth that he created, that belongs to him. Romans, chapter 8, 20 through 23, gives us a picture of this, for the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that creation itself will be liberated from its bondage and decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in pains of childbirth right up until the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for the adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. Wow, what a great scripture that is that describes what it's going to be like in the beginning, when we are redeemed and we get our glorified bodies and what the earth has been waiting for all of God's creation, to be set free by the children of God. This is an amazing scripture in Ezekiel, chapter 47. It talks about a river flowing the temple. Let's read it. It's very inspiring. I want you to picture it as the restoration, as God begins to restore his creation.

03:47

The man brought me back to the entrance of the temple and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple towards the east, for the temple faced east. The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was flowing from the south side as the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand. He measured off 1,500 feet, and then he led me through the water that was ankle deep. He measured off another 1,500 feet and led me through the water that was knee deep. He measured off another 1,500 feet and led me through the water that was up to my waist. He measured off another 1,500 feet, but now it was a river that I could not cross because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in a river that no one could cross. He asked me Son of man, do you see this? Then he led me back to the bank of the river and when I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees each side of the river. He said to me this water flows towards the eastern region and goes down into the Araba. It enters the sea. When it empties into the sea, the water there becomes fresh. Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows and there will be large number of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh. So, where the river flows, everything will live.

05:25

Wow, what a great scripture. It represents a restoration not only of the earth, but a restoration of the people who survived all those battles Now, will there be survivors? Yes, there will, according to Zechariah. We'll pick it up in Zechariah 14, verse 16. Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up, year after year, to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.

05:55

Here's something really cool about the Feast of Tabernacles it's a giant celebration. It's a praise fest, if you want to call it that. It's a giant praise concert that goes on for seven days. They take palm branches, and they wave them high in the sky and they worship the Lord. And I believe this is what David saw in the Psalms when he said he sees the whole mountains rejoicing, leaping for joy. I believe he saw a vision of millions of people, as far as the eye could see, covering the hills and the mountains, waving those branches high in the sky and worshiping the Lord. God Almighty, powerful stuff. It begins to give you an idea of the great freedom and the peace that's going to rule over the earth, for the prophet Habakkuk writes in chapter 2, verse 14, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea and the word of God brings peace. So that's how there will be peace on the earth is because the presence of God and the word of God will cover the entire earth and the earth will feel the peace of the Prince of Peace.

07:13

Let's look to Isaiah, chapter 11. This describes Christ and the presence of God during the 1,000-year reign. Let's pick it up in verse 3. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes or decide what he hears with his ears, but with righteousness. He will judge the needy With justice. He will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, with the breath of his lips. He will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist. The wolf will live with the lamb and the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the hole of the cobra and the young child put his hand into the viper's nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all, my holy mountain For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

08:20

Once again, we see that verse from Habakkuk, and there's a lot we can learn from that even now. For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. So, what brings peace to our lives is the Word of God. When our life's in turmoil and we just don't know where to turn, it's the Word of God. It brings peace. And this is why the world is not at peace. Because they're not reading the Word of God. They're not trusting in what the Lord, god Almighty, has written. They don't believe it to be true. They are not even investigating it to test it out. These scriptures tell us that the Word of God and the presence of God brings peace. And in this situation, it not only brings peace to individuals throughout the world, but nature itself, god's creation, very cool.

09:13

So, let's allow the Word of God to continue to paint a picture of what this is going to look like in this thousand-year reign. We're going to pick it up in Isaiah, chapter 4. We're going to look at verse 2 through six. And that day the branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and the glory of the survivors in Israel. Those who are left in Zion, who remain in Jerusalem, will be called holy and all who are recorded among the living in Jerusalem. The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion. He will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire. Then the Lord will create over all Mount Zion and over those who assemble there, a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night. Overall, the glory will be a canopy. It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day and a refuge and a hiding place from the storm and rain. Wow, what an amazing picture. It paints, a picture of the Old Testament, right when Israel was freed from the bondage of Egypt. They traveled by day with a cloud of smoke, and they traveled by night with a pillar of fire.

10:31

We can only imagine how awesome that presence is going to be of the Lord, god Almighty, during this millennial reign. There's going to be a combination of people. There's going to be the church, there's going to be saved Israel and there's going to be the survivors who we just read about from all the wars. And God will reign in Jerusalem by a cloud of smoke by day and a flaming fire by night, representing his glory and his holiness. And he will not be secluded, but he will be in fellowship with his people. And we can believe this because that's what Jesus did when he was here. We've talked about that before. He fellowshipped, he hung out with his guys, he ministered to so many people men, women and children. He wanted to be among them and spend time with them. So, this is his vision, his dream, his heart from the very beginning is to come back to earth as king, where he can be with those who love him. What a scene.

11:34

Let's look to Revelation as to some of the promises God made to the church. Lots of times when we read the first couple of chapters of Revelation, it's usually about the reprimanding that God is doing to his church through the ages. But today let's look at the promises To the church of Ephesus he who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life which is in the paradise of God. And to the church of Smyrna, he writes he who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.

12:16

To the church of Pergamum, to him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it. And to the church of Thyatira, to him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery. Just as I have received authority from my father, I will also give him the morning star. And to the church of Sardis, he writes he who overcomes will be like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life but will acknowledge his name before my father and his angels. Wow, what a great promise. And to the church of Philadelphia, he writes I am the church of Laodicea, which is coming down out of heaven from my God, and I will also write on him my new name. And to the church of Laodicea, to him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my father on his throne. He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

The promises of God are sure. God is not like us. He doesn't break promises. He's a promise keeper. He made promises to Israel, he made promises to you and me, and he's going to keep them.

14:03

So, when you're feeling down, stay faithful to God, because he sees everything and he knows everything, and he has a great reward. It would be reward enough for us to be washed in his blood and filled with his spirit, but God does not measure out his blessings. He pours his blessings out. He can't help himself. This is who he is. His love is pure. It is faithful. He never forgets. He is long-suffering because he desires for you and me to enjoy all the things we've just been talking about. He wants to see us thrive. He wants to see us blessed. He wants to see us so filled with joy that it's just overflowing. So, though this world is on its way to judgment, we are on our way to glory, and if we're to be faithful to the Word of God, we need to reach others so they can have this peace and they can have this joy and they can have the future that we just read about. This is Russ Scalzo for Chronicles of the End Times. God bless, keep looking up. The King is coming.
