Welcome everyone. This is Russ Scalzo Chronicles of the End Times. Thank you for tuning in today and listening wherever you are in this crazy world. Today I was listening to a lot of different things and reflecting on some basic truths. What if we truly believed that Jesus is all that he says? He is all that the Bible declares that he is? What would our lives be like?

There are a lot of things that we may consider to be terrifying in this world, and we certainly talk about enough of those on this podcast, but I think one of the most terrifying things is when we lay our whole lives down and say Jesus, take over. From a human standpoint, that's terrifying, like we're not in control anymore. Oh, I don't know if I would like that. That's scary, but when we do that and if we do that, our lives become the greatest adventure imaginable. I could go on for hours talking about the things that God has done in my life the deep rivers that I had to cross, the valleys that I went through, that I wasn't sure if I was going to get to the other side. I'm sure many of you who are listening today could do the same. Jesus tells us that he is the Alpha and the Omega. He's the beginning and the end of what, of everything. He is, who was and who is and who is to come. The Almighty. It's hard for us to comprehend.

In the Gospel of John we read that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God. And the Word was God and he was with God in the beginning. Through him, all things were made. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life. That life was the light of men. So the Word of God actually became a man. Then again, in 1 John 1, that which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands. Concerning the word of life, the life was made manifest, and we have seen it and testified to it. What an amazing statement.

I love the way John approaches things. He sees things a little differently. He really looks into the divinity of Christ. He really sees him as the Almighty God. He created everything that we see, all of science, chemistry, and biology, all the technology that we boast of today. God knew all about. He invented it a long time ago.

Sometimes we think of God as this old guy sitting in a chair on a throne who doesn't really understand all our modern things, and we might never ever want to admit that, but sometimes people think that way. But God created all these things and so many other things that we will not see until the new world comes. He created these amazing bodies we walk around in these brains that the greatest minds in this world are still trying to figure out Absolutely astonishing. So Jesus said I'm the light of the world, I'm the life of the world. All the fullness of God dwells in me. All the universe was spoken into existence by me. One day we're going to see him face to face and, pending on where you are, that could be terrifying. But if you want to start on the adventure of your life and some of you listening have done that and others have held back and said, yeah, you know, I believe in Jesus and I'm going to go to heaven and that's like cool and I'm good with that part but making him Lord of your life, that was a big theme back in the Jesus movement that my wife and I and many of our friends were birthed out of. It was not just believing in God and accepting Him but making him Lord of our lives. That's a big step and we may be missing out on that in this generation.

Here we are amid a major war in the Middle East, a war that may easily drag America into and who knows where it will go from there if other nations will join in, depending on how things go, if they see this as an opening to something else. But we can have peace in it, giving our lives to Christ, resting in him, trusting that he loves us. If somebody would ask me, Russ, you know what's the biggest thing you see as far as the end times? I would have to say obviously, the Middle East is a key, but the darkness and the delusion that people are under I believe that's the biggest sign we're seeing right now is the reprobate mind, the mind that can no longer make a right decision. We see it in government; we see it in the people around us, we see it in England. Right now, the UK is really going through it because our leaders have abandoned us; they have abandoned God; they have abandoned right thinking, even if you want to take the Lord out of it, which is hard to do, but just thinking in the natural, they're making terrible decisions, decisions that most people would not make, but unfortunately they're the leaders, not only here in America, but in Europe England, France That'll be a podcast that I'll do coming up talking about what's going on in the UK in great depth.

You see riots in the street. People are done, they're fed up. In England right now they have those children that have been abused, children that have been killed, all because of the influx that has come into their country that should have been vetted and never were. Because it's a mindset, it's a delusion. It's so strong. That's the scary part. We're seeing a delusion that is so complete. When you let the enemy into your house, when you let him into your living room and you let him sit down with you and talk with you, this is what happens.

He is the father of lies, Jesus Christ said, but not only that. He doesn't tell lies like humans do. He has a supernatural influence, a delusion that is just like taking a drug I used to talk about years ago. It's like those crop dusters. You see them dusting the fields or the crops. That's what it's like. It's like this fog has descended on people and they can't see through it. And the trouble when you're walking in a fog or driving in a fog, you could go right over the edge, and this is what we're seeing. And the people that have been pushed back and shoved in the corner are now saying, whoa, this is way too much. And people that normally wouldn't even say anything, people that like to keep to themselves, who are private, are speaking out and saying, whoa, this is enough, this has gone too far.

And as Christians, we need to believe that Jesus Christ is the fullness of God. We need to believe that Jesus Christ is the fullness of God. We need to believe that Jesus Christ can move mountains. We need to believe that he can change the hearts of people. When I'm meditating on the word of God and I allow the spirit of the Lord to rest on me and speak to me, and the awesomeness of God, his perfectness, his holiness is staggering, the respect that he deserves, the honor that he deserves. The general public has gotten away from that. The belief in God. We can talk about that. It goes in many directions, but those that once read the Bible, those that once looked to the Lord, their passion has become diluted.

The prophecy in Isaiah, chapter 2, always hits me right between the eyes In verse 17,. It begins and the haughtiness of man shall be humbled, and the lofty pride of men shall be brought low, and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day and the idols shall utterly pass away and people shall enter the caves of the rocks and the holes of the ground from before the terror of the Lord and from the splendor of his majesty when he rises to terrify the earth. Wow, you don't hear that much. It's not something you want to dwell on, but I believe in balance, our image of a helpless Christ in the cradle at Christmas, or a suffering Christ on the cross being mocked and spit on. We need to think of the Lion of Judah, the one who, with great mercy and great faithfulness, patience and love, has put up with a corrupt world.

We are seeing not merely a small cell of delusion. We are seeing worldwide delusion, and that, my friends, is something new. So let us stay in our positions of prayer, for the Lord says through Paul, he says, having done all things to stand, stand, therefore. That's important. We must prepare ourselves, read our Bibles, and pray. They are all things that are the lifeblood of a Christian and the lifeblood of our walk with Jesus Christ and our relationship with him. But Paul says after you're done with all that, stand, therefore. So, let's stand together against the delusion and pray against the delusion. We need to protect our families, and those that we love, we need to protect all those around us, because anyone can fall into this delusion. You probably can tell me of people in your life that have fallen deep into this delusion.

Isaiah tells us, under the power of the Holy Spirit, that the anointing breaks the yoke of bondage. Jesus quoted Isaiah when he said I've come to set the captives free. That's our job to set the captives free. How do we do that? By witnessing and telling people how good God is. But you must have the touch of God, you must have the anointing, and that comes from spending time with God. That will break the chains of bondage and set people free, for God is victorious in all things. This is Russ Scalzo for Chronicles of the End Times. God bless, keep looking up. The King is coming.
