"Our Seperation from Food is Deliberate": On Sustainable Food Options, Building Off of Past Organizers & Fennigan's Farms | Political Determinants of Health pt 3

Caitlyn Season 2 Episode 8

Happy Tuesday y'all & Happy New Year!! I can't believe it is 2022 & I'm back with another episode of Candidly, Caitlyn.

I am so excited to continue my "Political Determinants of Health" series here on my podcast & for this episode with Amanda Brezzell, the co-founder and CEO of Fennigan's Farms, a Detroit-based farm and sustainable agriculture design team.  Amanda has a background in public health and African American studies, which she has used to start Fennigan's Farms with the goal of making sustainable food options the norm in communities  historically  left out.

Amanda and I had a great conversation about how her work builds off of those in the past, what it means to have sustainable food options & more! You can keep up with her and her work on IG @ fennigansfarms and @theamandaproject

I’m so excited to share this episode with you all, and make sure to drop a review or comment to let me know what you think when you finish.
