Speaker 1:

Good morning. Okay, ladies, this first little bit is for you. Do you keep your face wash in your shower? Perhaps you shouldn't, because there is a lady this is from the New York Post she has discovered mildew and mold lurking in her facial cleanser. Dermatologists warn you could be storing your skincare all wrong. So I learned this a long time ago.

Speaker 1:

I do not keep my makeup or anything like that in the bathroom because I like to take a hot, steamy shower and that hot, steamy, condensation and water and all that can get into your makeup and ruin it and all that stuff, and therefore I don't keep. I don't even keep my moisturizer in the bathroom. I keep it outside. Luckily we live in a small house. Our bathroom is connected right there to our bedroom, so all I have to do is reach around the corner and grab my moisturizer anyway, whatever. I also don't use facial cleanser, oh my gosh. I know I have tried all. I've tried different kinds of skincare lines and all that. I have tried different moisturizers. I've tried drugstore, not moisturizers, I'm sorry uh cleansers excuse me to take my makeup off with you know gel cleansers, oil cleansers, scrubby cleansers, drugstore cleansers, fancy, expensive cleansers, and I've tried them. But I always go back to this regular bar of soap that I use to clean my body with. That's what I take my makeup off. Now I'll use. I'll use eye makeup remover, of course, but then I just get in the shower and just use my regular soap to take off my makeup. Oh my gosh, I know horrific, but I think the most important thing is that you do take your makeup off with you, do take your makeup off every night and then use a good moisturizer, and I use Sarah. No wait, sarah, it's comes in a big tub that I get from Walgreens for the moisturizer. I love it. It's not that expensive. I don't need big expensive stuff.

Speaker 1:

Uh, anyway, moving on, uh yeah, she found some uh mold in her, in her um, cleansers that she keeps in the shower, um, cleansers that she keeps in the shower, hello. So let's see. Hasler, the owner of belage baby boutique, was shocked when she noticed the inside of the bottle was contaminated with mildew. Why? Why are you shocked? I would first like to ask how long have you had it in there? Uh, yeah, and is there an expiration date? I'm sure there is. I mean, where else are you going to keep it though? I mean, you have to keep it in the shower or in the bathroom. Just beware, just beware, that's all I'm saying. Check out, check your cleansers, make sure they don't have any mold in the bottles, all right.

Speaker 1:

The next thing is also with glam and beauty. I just thought this was kind of a weird story. Let me tell you so.

Speaker 1:

Lux Designers rolled out Ozempic Coat trend for fall. It's a strong, confident look and all it is y'all is trench coats, that's all it is. It has a couple of men wearing trench coats. Now, yes, it looks good. The belt is tucked in. I guess that's to accentuate the new thin body now that you've lost all of that weight, and it just looks like, I guess, the men that used to dress up back in the day that wore hats and nice dress shoes and slacks, with the cuff and the bottom of it, you know, and a jacket, a blazer suit, jacket tie. So they have the trench coat over top of it. That's all it is. That's all it is. And it's so funny how they take an old item like that, like a trench coat, and try to make it new with ozempic tags on it. I mean not actual physical tags, but it's just hilarious. You gotta go read that. It's quite funny.

Speaker 1:

Luxe houses of design are taking a stab at slenderizing, debuting slinky, chic ozempic coats as this fall's most fab finery. It's a strong, confident look. Sophie Jordan, the menswear buyer at online luxury retailer, says, which coined the cheeky ozempic coat tag it's an item that is incredibly easy to wear. It's a coat, it's a coat. How difficult can you, can it be, to wear a coat? Come on, it's a trench jacket. That's all it is. That's all. It is okay, incredibly easy to wear. I swear, do they not these people? I can't, I can't. We're gonna move on.

Speaker 1:

Do you guys remember scott peterson? I do. I remember watching this. This was back in the days, early 2000s. Uh, you know, right after the oj not right after, but a couple years after the oj thing that happened and people were just fascinated with this kind of um stories. Now, listen up. Scott peterson cannot be the only man that was killed his wife and baby at that time. I'm sure there were more going on, but I don't know why they decided to focus in on this particular case, but they did. It was all over the news, 24 hours, seven days a week.

Speaker 1:

Scott Peterson, the California salesman who murdered his wife and unborn son says he was an asshole for having an affair in the weeks leading up to the killing, but maintained his innocence as he spoke out for the first time since his 2004 conviction. Peterson, who's 49, is serving a life sentence without possibility of parole for the death of his wife, lacey Peterson Peterson, who had disappeared, while eight months pregnant with their son Connor, from their Modesto home on Christmas Eve 2002. I do remember this story and I gosh, you know, I remember being going back and forth, back and forth he did it, no, he didn't. He did it, no, he didn't. I remember going back and forth like that all the time. And granted, I wasn't there. I'm not an investigative journalist. All I could do is take the information that was given to me from the television set, from the people on tv, and make my own. I'm not, I wasn't a juror, I wasn't there, so I don't know. I didn't see the evidence. It's, it is horrible. Uh, he said he was a total a-hole for having sex outside the marriage, peterson said.

Speaker 1:

According to People, a week before, a three-part Peacock docuseries is set to launch on the infamous case, I will watch this. Oh, my gosh, that means I'm going to get a Peacock subscription now I guess guess in face to face with Scott Peterson, the 49 year old convicted killer is seeking to appeal to the public to call out the so-called investigation that put him in prison. So I guess this is probably going to be slanted towards his version and it'll be interesting. It'll be interesting, that's for sure. That is out there on my x file. All right, next up I have two more stories and then we'll be done. Then we'll go to the question of the day. I had one in mind. Oh yeah, now I know. Okay.

Speaker 1:

11 year old migrant boy arrested as aggressor in new york city subway robbery linked to string of central park muggings. An 11 year old migrant child, an 11 year old Venezuelan boy, was arrested as the main aggressor in a violent subway mugging and has been linked to a larger string of robberies in Central Park being committed by migrant kids. Police said Wednesday holy cow. So not only do we have to worry about their parents doing these same types of crimes, now their children are doing it. We are being overrun. Granted, I have not seen it here in my little part of North Alabama, but I'm sure I will eventually, because they've got to leave the big cities at some time they're going to be coming out to the. They just it's crazy, it is insane.

Speaker 1:

The baby-faced perp and a 17-year-old boy were both taken into custody hours after they allegedly attacked a strap hanger on a Manhattan-bound 7 train at about 8.40 pm Tuesday near the Vernon Boulevard-Jack 7 train. At about 8.40 pm Tuesday near the Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue stop in Queens. Law enforcement sources said he just kind of grabbed it and from there they pulled it, passed it around. The 20 year old victim told the grabbed what. What were they passing around? They don't say what. It was okay. When I fought back to try to get my his phone, they attacked, they jumped me.

Speaker 1:

He described the younger boy to cops as the primary aggressor in the. Oh my gosh, an 11 year old child, an 11 year old boy. Now, when I hear things like that, my automatic first thought is to go to my son, because that's the only 11 year old boy that you know I would have known for a long time. So I, when they hear these kind of things, I think about it. Or if they're if they're talking about other things crimes like rape then I'll think about my daughter. That's just normal, typical thing that parents do when they read stories like that. They think about their own children. I think about when my son was 11. Come on, no, he was essentially provoking. It recalled the Manhattan-based IT professional who requested anonymity he was just up in my face and stuff like that. Who requested anonymity? He was just up in my face and stuff like that.

Speaker 1:

The young suspects had the stolen phone with them when they were nabbed near the Roosevelt Hotel migrant shelter in Midtown Manhattan at 11 15 pm. So what was so violent about it? Though he grabbed your phone and was passing. What was violent about it? I don't know. There was no stabbings, no shootings. I don't know. It's weird. So still, I mean, I mean it was just a phone, but still an 11 year old doing this on a train. Where were his parents? Well, obviously his parents are migrants too. Who knows what they're? They're probably doing their own crime up the street. Oh, it's ridiculous. You can go finish reading that story. We're moving on.

Speaker 1:

Republicans get pounded in wisconsin primary and it's a bad sign for trump. Y'all pay attention, not you guys. You guys are already paying attention. I'm mainly talking to the gen pop. The gen pop, by the way, is general population, and I got that term. I know it comes from prison terms, but I heard John Swank on a brutally honest podcast, use it once, and he was referring to the public, the general public here in America, who go, who go to work, they make a living, they go home, they have a family. They're just trying to get by. They're not paying attention to politics. That's the kind of people we talk about when we say gen pop. They're not all in, they're not political junkies like we are. So Republicans get pounded in Wisconsin primary.

Speaker 1:

A Wisconsin primary that Republicans had hoped would gift the legislature more control over state spending backfired on Tuesday after voters turned out in record numbers, including in a major Democratic stronghold. Instead, the constitutional amendments galvanized Democrats and their allies on the left, who vastly outspent their Republican counterparts on the initiatives and won by a large margin. More than 26 percent of registered voters turned out to statewide in and what had been expected to be a quiet late summer primary election, excuse me, excuse me. Oh, the results could bode badly for former president Trump's chances on election day in this key swing state, showing Democrats are already highly motivated. Y'all these are Democrats in Wisconsin, not Michigan, where it's overrun by Somalians, not California, where there's a bunch of idiots there. No, this is Wisconsin. What the hell has happened? Isn't that like Heartland Middle America? Isn't that considered like flyover country? Come on, wisconsin. We are in trouble y'all. I hope I'm wrong, but I think Kamala's gonna win because of the way they're running the campaign. They're gonna get by with it. They are gonna get by with it and she is going to win. I'm so terrified. I hope I'm wrong. All right, that's all I have for the podcast episode today.

Speaker 1:

Now we're going to do the question of the day. I was thinking about this earlier. If you were to move and you were looking for a new house to buy, what is the one feature that you are going to to have in a new home? I was thinking about this and I'm not sure. I know for one thing, and it's gonna have this. This will be my answer. It has to be a one story. Right now we live in a two-story. We rarely go upstairs except to do laundry. The they're upstairs is two bedrooms, a bathroom and the laundry room, and the two bedrooms were our kids rooms. So we don't really go up there anymore. That's where I put my youtube studio up there, but I, you know, I go up there on the weekends, maybe, uh, once or twice or once every two weeks or something, but, um, I think I would definitely have to have a one-story house.

Speaker 1:

If there was something else, maybe a double sink in the bathroom, maybe, but that that I can live, I can live with, I can work around that too. What else? A bigger, a big bedroom maybe, uh, walking, a bigger closet perhaps, but I don't have a lot of clothes and shoes either, so I don't know. I mean, I in our bedroom right now. We had to redo our air conditioner and they put the new air conditioner whatever you call it in our closet, in our bedroom, so it took out a whole side of our closet. So now we have these mobile racks that you can buy from Walmart or Target. Put them together and we have them in our bedroom and I like it, it's not bad, it's not bad.

Speaker 1:

So, maybe a bigger kitchen, I don't know. For one thing for sure a one story, that's. If we were to ever move, we would be uh, that's the feature. I guess, if you wouldn't even want to call it a feature, I'd have to have a one story house, because we're not getting any younger, we're getting older and I don't want to be walking up and down the stairs? Okay, so what is your must have feature? Uh, if you were to buy a new house, that's the question of the day. Okay, I got to go. Thanks for listening and I will be back again tomorrow.
