TALK TO ME, TEXT IT

What drives someone to commit the unthinkable against their own family? We unravel the harrowing stories of a Long Island man in his 50s overwhelmed by grief and financial strain, leading to a tragic family murder-suicide. We also bring you the chilling tale of Daniel Coppola, who, in a fit of rage, ended the lives of his ex-wife and her new partner before horrifying his own daughter with the news. These unsettling narratives spotlight the growing psychological pressures facing middle-aged men in the community.

Switching gears, we take a look at the buzz surrounding the new Ronald Reagan biopic. With insights from the cast's recent appearance on Megyn Kelly's show, we explore the film's focus on historical events and its non-political portrayal of one of America's most iconic presidents. I even share my personal memories of casting my first vote for Reagan while serving in the Navy, adding a nostalgic touch to the conversation. Don't miss out on our special bonus episode featuring "The Gent" this weekend for even more engaging content.

Speaker 1:

What is going on in Long Island? There must be something in the water. The other day I brought to you a story of this man in his 50s who shot up his whole family and then killed himself because his 96-year-old mother passed away a few days before and all the siblings came into town to sell the house. Now he had been living with her all of his 50 something years of life. There's a problem right there already, but they wanted to sell the house and he had nowhere else to go. So what does he do? What's his solution? He shoots and kills his whole entire family. Who are there gathered in the house to talk to the real estate agent who was apparently on the way? Who was on the way, uh. But then he, you know, he shoots him up. He said no, this isn't happening, gets mad, shoots them all and then shoots himself. Oh my gosh. Now I bring to you another story that uh has I don't.

Speaker 1:

Another story from long island. There is something in the water. Maniac ex-husband fatally shoots former wife, her new beau, in their Long Island home, then chillingly told daughter her mom was dead. Let's go to the New York Post and see how they tell it. A maniac divorcee gunned down his ex-wife and her beau inside their million dollar long island home on wednesday, then chillingly told his daughter her mother was dead cops family said cops and family said I guess I think she was still in the car. He like had her in the car. He drove up to the home, walked and busted down the door, went in and shot them all up, came back to the car, got in the car and just coolly said I just killed your mom and she's like okay, let me read the story to you.

Speaker 1:

Daniel Coppola, 50, allegedly shot down the front door and blasted the couple, kelly Coppola 50, and Kenneth Pullman, 53, while they slept in their St James home around 11.45 pm. According to law enforcement, moments earlier he warned his daughter to stay in his car outside 21 Brisewood Road. He leaves her in the car, goes behind the bush and evidently he broke down the door, went up and did what he did. Pullman's grieving dad, kenneth Pullman Sr, told reporters outside the couple's home. He came back and told his daughter I killed your mother and Kenny. That's what he told her. Daniel Coppola then fled the gruesome scene while the shocked teen whom he shared with his ex-wife reached out to her pals. Detective Lieutenant Kevin Brayer said. As he's driving her, she is communicating with her friends via text saying I don't know what my father did, I don't know how my mother is. Her pals called her mom but were unable to get in touch with her, obviously leading them to call 9-1-1. Daniel Coppola was later arrested at his St James home about a mile away from the blood soaked scene and is under mental evaluation after making suicidal statements. Police said I guess so these people go up and kill people and then they don't want to face the consequences. Well, he's going to face consequences, all right, in real life and in the afterlife. He's been slapped with two counts of second-degree murder.

Speaker 1:

According to the Suffolk County Police Department, the bloodshed came after the former couple finalized their divorce a year or two ago. This has been two years. They've been divorced y'all. Apparently the divorce is final and apparently it was a contentious divorce. Police said there was no order of protection issued against the bitter ex, but they were called for a non-criminal dispute between the pair while they were married.

Speaker 1:

Meanwhile, pullman's family referred to the former husband as an abusive maniac. From what she would say he abused her. Kenneth Pullman's family referred to the former husband as an abusive maniac. From what she would say he abused her. Kenneth Pullman's grieving brother, tom Pullman, told reporters. Pullman met Kelly after losing his wife to cancer several years ago. His brother said his family remembered him as a romantic who plastered love letters on his bedroom wall.

Speaker 1:

Oh, this is such a horrible. So now the teen I don't know how old she is, but she's a teenager. She does know she no longer has a mother and now her father is going to prison. I don't know if she has any other family she can go to. It doesn't say. Or if it did, I didn't get that part of it. I don't know what's happening in Long Island. Not only that, but this is one of several stories of men in their fifties who have lost their ever loving mind. What is up with my generation and that? What is happening with that? There is something going on. I don't know what it is. Oh, all right, so let's see the next one.

Speaker 1:

Oh, this chick new york post. She's a surgery addict, a cosmetic surgery addict. She spent a million dollars to look like kim kardashian, but her latest surgery she had a butt lift filler which left her infertile in constant agony. My limitations are severe. This is how the story starts you ready for it. This is the New York Post. So get ready. Her life got rear-ended.

Speaker 1:

An influencer is warning women to steer clear of a popular butt filler, saying it left her infertile and in ongoing pain. Remember I talked about this yesterday in these butt lifts? Now this was a filler, though I can't imagine. I'm not putting anything. No, okay, self-proclaimed surgery addict, jennifer pamplona pamplona, hmm, that name does sound familiar who spent a whopping $1 million to look like Kim Kardashian, wants others to avoid the commonly used cosmetic material I can't even pronounce it, so we're going to do the initials P-M-M-A like it is the plague Polymethylmethocrylate, Maybe that's it, I don't know. I always dreamed of being a mother. The brazilian who has dozens of procedures told need to know. Unfortunately, I now find myself unable to fulfill this dream due to the complications caused by pmma.

Speaker 1:

While pamploma infertility isn't directly linked to use of the MMA, her complications are believed to be associated with improper application or an adverse reaction. As a result, the substance can migrate from the injection site to other parts of the body, including the pelvic area, which can affect functioning of the reproductive organs. Pamplona says she experienced an adverse reaction caused by the material spread from her rear pelvic area to her reproductive organs during a bioplastic a decade ago. So, but why is she? What are the other things that are going on? I don't know? Um, so yeah, she's first of all silly for spending a million dollars to try to look like kim kardashian. There's some mental issues right there. All right, we are, let's see what else is next.

Speaker 1:

Oh, this Montana college students offered big cash to endorse nervous Dem Senator John Tester, who backed trans athletes competing against women. This is from the New York Post, excuse me. Uh, let's see. Montana student athletes were offered thousands of dollars if they publicly endorsed democrat senator john tester, who has advocated for transgender athletes the right to compete in sports against biological women. University of montana track and field sprinter lily meskers revealed that she and her fellow grizzlies received the lucrative offer over the summer as part of a name, image and likeness deal. This is this NIL that my husband is always talking about. Wow.

Speaker 1:

Meskers, a junior journalism student at the Missoula campus, shared her experience with the Montana Talks radio show, alleging Tester and his backers are growing increasingly nervous about their prospects of winning re-election because of several unpopular stances he has taken during his three terms, one of his stances including voting against the protection of women and girls in sports act of 2023, a bill aimed at strengthening the laws of existing protections for women, ensures a level playing field for female athletes and protects okay, blah, blah. I want to get to the payment part. Let's see montana together. A protester political organization reached out to universities in the state offering name-in-likeness deals, according to Muskers. Let's work together to inform your audience about Senator Tester's track record in office and encourage him to maintain his support of these vital policies. Read the email obtained by the National Desk. Join our campaign to share your personal story about how Tester's track record has strengthened Montana's foundation and ensures a bright future for all who call it home.

Speaker 1:

Other topics promoted in the offer included LGBT rights, reproductive care and the economy. The deal offered all university athletes a chance to participate and earn big money. Wow. Montana Together promised between $400 and $2,400 for the creation of up to four unscripted Instagram reels from the student athletes throwing their support behind the Democrat. Wow, this is unbelievable, kind of. But this I mean I. This does not surprise me really, coming from a Democrat.

Speaker 1:

University of Montana student athlete received the forwarded email from Gene G, the senior associate athletic director, to spread the word about Tester and causes you care about. Tester was called out by former auburn university football coach turned alabama senator, tommy tuberville yes, who introduced the protection of women and girls act in sports, sports act. Okay, there's more to that story. If you would like to go finish reading that, I suggest that you do. And my last topic y'all, y'all.

Speaker 1:

I need your input on this one. I need your input on this one, if you are, if you are gonna retweet me, please give me your thoughts on this, if you can. Uh-oh, where'd it go? Oh, of course it went away. Let's see. All right, you ready, you ready for this? This is from the new york post, the uh. The headline reads husband suffers bizarre penis infection after dinner and vigorous sex. Here's how. Oh, I forgot to warn y'all. Uh, if you have kids in the car, uh, turn it down, pause it. Sorry, this is your warning, all right.

Speaker 1:

Doctors in lebanon say they treated a 38 year old man who got an unusual bacteria infection in his penis after eating rice and having vigorous intercourse with his wife. Uh-huh, sure, the incident the first case in literature describing such an entity was detailed this month in the Annals of Medical Medicine and Surgery. I didn't know there was such a publication, but again, it doesn't surprise me. A few hours after being intimate, the unidentified man suffered severe diarrhea and vomiting. Man suffered severe diarrhea and vomiting. Then he experienced penile swelling and redness for about a week before seeking medical help. Look, if something like that is going on with your organ, I don't think you're waiting a week to go get it checked out. That's a very vital thing. Okay, doctors of the American University of Beirut Medical Center examined his scabbed penis, took a swab and pointed the finger at Bacillus Sirius I don't know if I'm pronouncing this correctly.

Speaker 1:

I'm sure you guys will help me out here. It's B. I don't even know B-A-C-I-L-L-U-S-C-E-R-E-U-S. Bacillus serious. I'm going to call it that because I like the way it sounds A bacterium found in soil, vegetation and contaminated food such as reheated rice and vegetables. Now, about a month or so ago, I think, I brought a story to you, or I read one anyway, I don't know if I put it on my podcast or not, but a young college student ate some leftover rice that had been sitting out. I think he ate it and it's the same thing, but he died from this and it was rice, all right.

Speaker 1:

Some 63 400 cases of bacillus, serious illness are reported in the us each year. According to the food and drug administration, the condition is known as fried rice syndrome because it is rice that is left out at room temperature. It can produce toxins that can cause diarrhea and vomiting. Reheating does not destroy the toxin. This article says all right, the recovery of anyway.

Speaker 1:

The. The father of two, reported that he had eaten rice with his family a day before he started to experience symptoms. His wife said he was symptom-free. The patient denied having any trauma to the penis or laceration or any accidental bite during the intercourse time. The doctors wrote they suspect that he contaminated his penis with his vomit and diarrhea after sex with his wife, likely the source of the skin infection. Uh-huh, uh-huh. The man had to abstain from sex.

Speaker 1:

And, oh God, this is a little detailed for me'm. No, it's early in the morning, it's 5 38. Sorry about that, but uh, I, what do you think? Do you think that is really what happened or do you think it was something else? I don't know. I'm leery of everything. Okay, I didn't talk about kamala harris's interview last night because you're going to hear about it all over the news today and you don't certainly need to hear it night, because you're going to hear about it all over the news today, and you don't certainly need to hear it from me.

Speaker 1:

You're going to hear from more clever people than I about that. I thought it was a joke, but part of my prediction was right. Tim Walls did sit there like a lump on a log. I did write about it at the Victor Girls yesterday before the interview happened, with my predictions of how that interview would go. I was pretty spot on, except she did not interrupt him like I thought she would. So there's that. All right. It's just a bunch of crap.

Speaker 1:

Dana, dana, dana, whatever her name is Dana. If you're going to spell it Dana, if you're going to pronounce it Dana, then spell it like that. It's not. Instead of Dana, I'm going to call her Dana, dana Bash. Uh, terrible, terrible, terrible. Not a great interview at all. It wasn't even an interview. It was a conversation. It was. It was a social event. It was social. It was a social event. It was a tea party. Come on, all right, that's all I've got.

Speaker 1:

I have the question of the day. All right, it's a three-day weekend and the movie Reagan comes out this weekend. In fact, I think it comes out tonight today. Are you guys going to go see it? Do you want to see it or will you wait until it comes out on a streaming service to where you don't have to leave your house? I would like to go see it this weekend in theater.

Speaker 1:

The cast was on Megyn Kelly's show yesterday. She really hyped it up. I've seen previews for it before the Megyn Kelly interview with the cast, but it sounds really good. I want to go see it. And they say it's not a political movie. It's basically it's his biography and you know I was very young at that time. I was in the Navy. It may have been my first voting thing where I got to actually go vote for Reagan. I think that was my very first time. I have to go back and look. I'm pretty sure that's correct. But yeah, I want to go see it, just for the history of it All. Right, uh, that's my question of the day. Thank you for listening. The Gent and I will be on tomorrow, so look for that special uh bonus content for the weekend and uh, have a great one.
