Holy Cross Monastery Sermons (West Park)
The Order of the Holy Cross is an Anglican Benedictine monastic community of men founded in 1884 by James Otis Sargent Huntington to provide a specifically North American expression of monasticism. Our commitment to worship and prayer has sustained our work since the 19th century. Our primary ministry is welcoming guests on individual and group retreats. "We may not think of Benedict as particularly revolutionary, but think what it would mean if the world as it is now were transformed into the community Benedict has in mind... Benedict, through his holy and inspired rule, has given us a plan for conversion of our ways of life to the monastic way – that is a plan not for safety, not for comfort, but for the revolutionary act of building God's Kingdom.". . .
