Speaker 1:

guys, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the singing Sammy's. That is your football podcast. I'm Chris and I'm here with my friend Scott Scott.

Speaker 2:

how are things going today? I did okay. I can't believe it's August 8th. Uh, wow it's almost in the summer. Crazy to think about that right it just seemed like it was.

Speaker 1:

Uh, it seemed like it's winter, like, uh, five days ago oh god, yeah, it really took like it wasn't. Until like late June here in California that, um, the weather turned to winter. Um, as you know, and maybe most of people know that, I'm a high school teacher, so we're going back next week, so summer really is over which makes it really hard.

Speaker 2:

I heard you had I. I heard you had a great day today.

Speaker 1:

I heard you got the Hobb Hobb now with some, some celebrities, yeah, I got to hang out with well, hang out to, not really uh, prep term. I got to see and, uh, say hello to and and shake hands with Sergio Romo.

Speaker 2:

Hi, how are you doing?

Speaker 1:

sir, hi, hi guys, how are you doing? How are you doing? Well, we need my friend. It was something like that, actually, and so, um, kind of cool. Um, I had to be out there for eight hours on the golf course anyway, watching girls play golf and helping them out and then, so at least I had that hurt, though being able to meet some of the players, and it's a good day overall.

Speaker 2:

Okay, do you have any of those players that say never mind, no, I can't say there, give me those players that say they have to, they, they play better with less clothing. I saw some clickbait that said they have to play better with them.

Speaker 1:

So I can't comment on that one. But, um, I'll digress and move on to that point. Um, I will say it was a beautiful day and we are starting our golf season for the girls high school golf and they will be uh, I just got to meet some of the girls last week. It was my first time doing it with the girls. I had to do last fall with the boys and so, um, I'm looking forward to having some fun opportunities out there and have a great golf and have a great experience, awesome, awesome.

Speaker 2:

So so for me, I'm not doing too much, just trying to get uh, trying to get healthy right now. I'm trying to lose some weight on a challenge right now. So people see my post on Facebook is because I had to do 20 posts to be eligible for prizes and things like that. So and uh, so hoping, uh, I gotta lose the 10 pounds over six weeks and I have to do 20 workouts and 20 posts and some other stupid thing I'm gonna bend over.

Speaker 2:

Uh, week four, week four, and at the end of week three I was down nine. So but uh, gotta, gotta keep on my gotta, keep on my guard. Can't, can't, slack.

Speaker 1:

Well, the unfortunate part about you being on this uh program is that we can't do our beginning spiel about, about beer and what we're beer we're drinking.

Speaker 2:

Oh, we can do that. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm drinking some whiskey. So my redemption right $30 bottle, 93 points whiskey.

Speaker 1:

So it's uh it's my, it's my uh whiskey of the year as well. I was trying to figure out Dr Wirtz from my house here in California. It's there Feral than that, but I'm not sure, dr, where they distributed it.

Speaker 2:

But fantastic Cheers, Cheers to you, my friend.

Speaker 1:

Cheers to that, my friend. Alright. So we uh finished up our season last year and, um, we talked about our league and our draft and we talked about a few other things. Uh, rules and uh we we have. We don't have time today, but we also gotta get the guy going on the rules committee and we're not gonna be, but I'm gonna digress. Our real focus for today is going to be who should keep who and what we think is gonna happen.

Speaker 2:

Yeah before we go to Chris, real quick how many people have voted, by the way, last time we checked, it was five. Okay, that's pathetic.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, we got about half the guys that still need to vote, including not the name names, but Doug Johnson. Um right, actually voted. Uh, dave Rowling has not. Travis is not.

Speaker 2:

You just you click on the link. It takes you to the thing. It takes like two minutes to vote, right, like I think. I think that's the last time that it takes to vote for you know, in our elections, so you gotta assume that they're actually listening to us too. So I'm really gonna make a difference, but I gotta think they're not interested so but yeah, but I, I, I, I, I digress.

Speaker 2:

Uh, I agree with the time to look at the. The keeper is right, it's. We gotta look at people's rosters and we think about who they're gonna vote for. Um, you know the rosters are the worst, or worse. You wanna go across the board. How do you wanna do it? Uh, I will share my screen, just, oh, you never mind. Um, you have the rosters up anyways, let's, let's start from the bottom. That's okay. Okay, yep, uh, so we'll start with a no or cow wine slingers.

Speaker 1:

Okay, um, oh, you be second to get there. Yeah, um, I just deleted considerate, but you didn't, so start. Start with what your rosters are. Tell me who's on there and if you enable.

Speaker 2:

If you enable it, I can share it too. So but but you'll leave that to you so, so, yeah, so he's got a couple of quarterbacks on his team.

Speaker 2:

Uh, he's got uh Daniel Jones, $11. Uh, trevor Lawrence of $15. Uh, he's got some really good wine receivers Devonte Adams, tyreek Hill and Terry McLaren. A lot, quite a bit of money tied up in that, but he's got some good receivers, including some other ones. He's also got memory Cooper, tyler Lawrence and all the really solid wide receiver core and with the, you know, upgrade the PPR. That kind of probably helped them wait, I want to say it helped them last year, but I think you might have finished last Um, uh, he's heard a little bit of running backs. He's got the Andre Sift and uh Zeke Elliott uh $29 each, and then, uh, not too much else after they accrued old Patterson, but that's kind of that ship is kind of uh, kind of sailed uh. And then, uh, he's got David Jokou at uh, at a couple decent quarterbacks, really deep as far as uh wide receivers and, you know, not as good as far as the uh, the running backs.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so why don't you tell me, like looking at his roster, who, who first do you think stands out as a easy?

Speaker 2:

I don't know that there is when you first look at it. I mean you look at the Vonte Adams. Really good, he's getting another new quarterback this year. He's getting the Jimmy Grappalo. You know God, I know how long he's going to stay healthy. So there's some question marks there. I'd probably be looking at Tyree kill $35. I think that's probably a much better value of $16 cheaper. You know decent situation there down in Miami. I'd say probably Tyree kills my no brainer.

Speaker 1:

And your no brainer and that's kind of a hard term to use as a no brainer in this situation, because how much is it going to cost for him in 2023?

Speaker 2:

$35. So I mean I'd say no brainer, just that I think you probably will least go for that in the draft. You never know. I think last year he probably went a little cheaper because there was uncertainty going from the chiefs to Miami, but he didn't really miss much of a beat, you know as far as, as far as when he moved over there. So I think he's probably the best pick of the group. But, as you allude, he's not necessarily probably a no brainer, it's probably the one that seems like the best pick.

Speaker 1:

Okay, and looking at his roster, who would you say was the worst pick on that? Well, who's the worst pick, worst keeper to keep, other than maybe, like some dollar free agent?

Speaker 2:

The worst keeper to keep. Yeah, oh boy, I probably have to say. I probably say is he really is it even on a team right now.

Speaker 1:

And he's not. Actually not exactly what I was going to say is the gale it? You know, like you look at these, there's a few running backs out there that still haven't found a team. The gale is one of them cooks another and then he got. Who else is there for net? Do you see a scenario and I know we need to come back to just looking at the roster, but do you see a scenario that would increase the value of any low street player playing on any particular team?

Speaker 2:

No, I don't think so, I don't think so.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't think so either. If you were looking at a best bit, like what team out there could use a running back, that actually would give probably some fantasy value to one of those three guys.

Speaker 2:

So you know, maybe a great question. Maybe the Minnesota Vikings obviously the other way down and cook, so Vikings might get a little bit of benefits. Did Donald could actually sign with the Jets.

Speaker 1:

I don't think he officially has yet.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I think that might be a good fit at worst as a backup option, you know. So a couple teams are probably thinking about.

Speaker 1:

You know, like, what I like about you know, I think you said it with the Jets is like it seemed like on all points of all directions that cooks can assign with them, but he still hasn't, because you got, look at Breast Hall. I mean Breast Hall, I think, is going to be an amazing running back. When he was playing was really, really strong, had a great fantasy season until he got hurt, but he still, he still hurt while he's back fully, but at the same time he's got that lingering possibility of being held back a little bit. You get some like Dalvin Cook in there for a year could be a good, you know, investment if you had Dalvin Cook at the moment. Absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, absolutely so. So you know I'm looking at. So back to, I'm looking at Tiger Kale. I like John Dotson afford for dollars for Washington. You don't know exactly what's going to happen there. You got Eric. He comes over because like he's got a lot to prove. I kind of like Josh. You have Palmer for dollars as well too. He could emerge for the chargers. I mean, keenan Allen's not getting any younger, you know, michael Williams is kind of a speciality guy, so I could. I think I can see, really I can see him going all wide receivers as keepers. Maybe he might think about it Trevor Lawrence or Daniel Jones as a, as a, as another keeper as well too.

Speaker 1:

Okay. So my last question for you about the North cow and wine slingers who do you, who would you pick? And you don't have to pick three. You can say, looking on the roster, I'd only go with these two and who do you think he actually will pick?

Speaker 2:

Oh, I think I really like Tyree kill. I mean, the bottom hand is just too steep at $51. He may even go for that, but it's too steep. I think I like him. Tyler Lockett as well too. Maybe I'd go Tyree kill Tyler Lockett, John Dotson, maybe Palmer over over Lockett, but I'm not sure. There I think he's going to do. Isn't he a big Giants guy? I think he's a Giants guy. I thought he was. I could see him keeping Daniel Jones and maybe Dotson and maybe Tyree kill.

Speaker 1:

And if he went with that kind of alignment, would you do think that's a game changer or that make no difference Compared to what you picked.

Speaker 2:

No, I think it's. No, I don't think it's a huge, huge difference.

Speaker 1:

Awesome and that's a good analysis. I think I would agree with you. If I was to do his team, I'd probably go with the running or, sorry, the receivers as well. I'd probably go with Tyree kill for sure. I think he's like he said, he is the no brainer there.

Speaker 1:

I know I wouldn't go with Cordell Patterson. I'm not sure I think he's good at. I think he's got a good role on the team. I just don't see him, especially with them picking up a rookie running back which they put an eighth round draft pick on. They got include receivers and they got pits that they need to throw to. I just don't see Cordell Patterson excelling in any one area anymore or even being the jack of all trades to that level anymore. So I just don't see him being a player I want at least to keep, maybe picking up for a backup or something like that. John Dodson I think I would keep to John Dodson. I could see a big year from him possibly. The problem with him is two things McLaurin's there, which he's a great receiver. Mclaurin I wouldn't keep, even though he has him at $30. But the problem for both those guys they're competing against each other and who's throwing the ball to him?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, kind of?

Speaker 1:

Do you think the commanders actually have a team that can make two receivers fantasy relevant, even with two great receivers like that?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm sorry it's Sam Hal. Sam Hal sorry, not Hineke Sorry. I think in the last year they could. They got some good pieces and if the enemy is really a creative mind, if he's learned a lot from Andy Reed, then anything's possible. So I. But they also have a very defensive mighty coach, so there's kind of a conflict there. They got a possibility. They got a lot of skilled players. Robinson looks good and Gibson is a good player. They got a good defense. Washington. I think it'll be middle of the road.

Speaker 1:

Middle of the road. Take away the salary cap right here. Who would you rather have? Mclaurin, or would you rather have Dotson? I'm a McLaurin Kind of throwing some tough questions at you aren't I yeah, you are.

Speaker 2:

We only got so many times. We only got seven minutes, eight, ten minutes on one team. So we got 16 minutes left or something. We got 16 minutes left. So how about we talk about Santa Rosa Shakers? Let's do it. So Santa Rosa Shakers has got a lot of money on players. He wouldn't heavy in the free agency. It looks like he's got Gardner Minshew at $36. I didn't expect that. I'm not sure who his other quarterbacks were at the time. He's got Derek Kennery. Aaron Jones spent big on them in the draft. I mean Derek Kennery. Unfortunately he's got a little banged up last year. Aaron Jones is really solid. He's got some decent receivers, but there are a lot of money. I'm struggling right now, looking at his roster, is trying to find a keeper that he would want to keep or if he should just consider starting from scratch, and there's nothing wrong with that, because sometimes the best strategy is to say I'm going to start from scratch.

Speaker 1:

You might want to say, hey, I keep someone irrelevant. That might be someone good, but sometimes it's just better to punt on it all and have your whole salary for the next year, Especially with someone like Santa Rosa Shakers who's go big or go home.

Speaker 2:

I mean, yeah, look at it. I think the Alabama Slammers, they employed that strategy a year or two ago, I think. They went from 9th to 7th. I mean that's a what a leap.

Speaker 1:

Well, he's also won the league, or basically come close to it. If you get lightning in a bottle with these guys, I mean you're going to win your leagues and at least get very competitive in them when you get the best players. But the problem is, if one gets hurt which poor Shakers I think have been kind of victim to lately is that then you don't have much in your reserves and you're not going to do well.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly. So we're talking about the Shakers, right? Yeah, just so, check that for a second. So I'm going to be completely honest. I think I mean I'm looking at all the players, looking at everything that's there and, just by the way, I just have the rosters, everybody, every email, so you can see where everybody's at. I can't see a keeper. I think it's a good reboot year for the Shakers why not? I feel bad that he's not going to be at the draft this year. Really, I actually feel horrible and hopefully we can figure out in a common anyway so he can still participate. But it'll happen. I don't see anybody that's on the list. I would just reboot unless you see something different.

Speaker 1:

No, I would agree with you. I see a lot of good players that he has on his team. It's not like he has a bad team Didn't work out for him well last year but it's not like he doesn't have good players on his team. He does. But if you look at the salaries that he will be paying for them, he can get comparable, if not less, for the people he has on that board, and so a reboot would seem logical.

Speaker 2:

Do it. Do it, travis, do the reboot, reload Again, as Chris said. You had it still, but the decent team is just that the values in there. You can get those guys ideally for cheaper in next year's and this year's draft.

Speaker 1:

Now, if you had to keep one, who would it be?

Speaker 2:

If I had to keep one, I honestly probably would keep Derek Henry. I mean, yeah, he's getting older, he's starting to wear down a little bit, but he'd be the guy that I keep. I mean, he's still possible for double digit touchdowns, a lot of yards. He would be the guy with chief. How about you?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I would agree. I would say like Derek Henry, probably if you go in the draft you might get him less, might get him round about the little. I would say you get him less, but not a lot less. So it wouldn't be that big of a loss in the bigger picture of your financial situation for your salary count Exactly, I would keep them.

Speaker 2:

So how about we skip over the ranchers and go to the Alabama Slammers?

Speaker 1:

Slammers, slammers, he's slamming it.

Speaker 2:

So on the.

Speaker 1:

Slammers. He had Jericho for a dollar. He got Rashid Ramaj. Steve is in, sorry for seven bucks. He had Alvin Kamara for $880. Dylan 19,. Mike Williams 10. Debo for $48. Kittle for $18. Cowboys Debo, we don't really wrap that up. Just Tucker might be a possibility for $8. But Lamar Jackson at $24. Scantling at $6. Damian Harris $11. They don't. I wonder how I got Damian Harris in that really awful trade. Harim for $8, Landry for $4, hollis 17, nico Collins for $10, and Javante Williams for $26. Quick question, do you I mean, I wouldn't go with Javante Williams in the situation just because of his injury right now Do you see a scenario where that $26 is actually a good deal for a day?

Speaker 2:

means, so we can spend elsewhere or actually keep the volume to another restaurant, $26.

Speaker 1:

Do you see that in the realm of possibilities as a good deal?

Speaker 2:

Oh, absolutely. I mean, gevante Williams is a stud, you know. Obviously you know injuries happen. We see guys coming back from the ACLs all the time now and like still performing at a high level. So I mean there's some risk about him still starting to begin in the season, which is why I fact she flagged eight players and Dave's team is potential keepers, which I think is the most I flag, for the Alabama Slammers are quite some time, but there's, I think there's value there, but it's a risk yeah, I agree.

Speaker 2:

So, looking at roster, who are three people you think you would, you would keep and you would keep oh, but to me the no-brainer is wrong, or Stevenson, you got to keep him a $7 to me that's. That's the absolute no-brainer in all of this. Then, as I said, he's got about eight guys that I would kind of have on my list to potentially keep and after that it kind of goes to probably Mike Williams at $10 not a bad price. I kind of like Z Jones, but Z Jones probably gonna get some subtraction now with the, with the Ridley coming to the, say Joseph Jacksonville, right, yeah, we were full facts so that's probably a little bit risky there. So I like Stevenson. I like Williams at $10. I think he would go for easily that amount of money then after that's a crap shit.

Speaker 2:

Whether you want to keep Javante Williams, jarrod goth, actually I mean he performed really well the second half of last year. I would definitely be intrigued by by goth, and I'd still be intrigued by Lamar Jackson, because he's still Lamar Jackson. If he's healthy he's gonna be a top five, top five quarterback. The last thing I'll say is that George kill 18 bucks semi-interested, but I think he's got to be due for a slide. We don't know if produce gonna be back. You produce a really well for him. And then Sam guy per I actually flagged as well to date box because and when we don't know if Javante Williams gonna start the season and per I look pretty good when he was spelling for for mixed it last year.

Speaker 1:

I like her. I mean he's really actually a good player.

Speaker 1:

The problem is he carried the load for the full. You know 16 games via three down back. I don't know if he can do that I don't he's gonna be asked to do that either or so but he's a. He's a really good, especially at our league was point per reception. He's a good guy to have on your team and I great eight dollars is not something that you know is gonna break your bank and a guy that would give you a quality bench player. Another player you know I would also put in there's Nico Collins, who, at $10, I think you know obviously he might get that about. I don't know if it's a great rate in terms of what he might get in the draft you never know sometimes but he was a. He was a promising young rookie who didn't have a lot of people throwing to him. I think he can be a lot better player next year and might be someone they could consider as well yeah, possibly I think he's still too down the list.

Speaker 2:

I think rookie, rookie quarterback he's still that. That it's too expensive for me. Actually, perrion is actually still a Vincent sensory, like Perrion was like fourth, like four dollars or three dollars, I probably actually really consider a little stronger. But it was for me. I would definitely keep Stevenson, I would definitely keep Williams, I'm sorry, mike Williams, so the wide receiver, and then I kind of would go back and forward between Javante Williams and Gerard Gough or just kind of stay input yeah, I would go with Stevenson, for sure, I'd probably go with.

Speaker 1:

Actually, I probably might go with Jackson and Javante Williams. Who do you think?

Speaker 2:

Dave actually will go. You say yeah, oh, it's Lamar Jackson. Sorry, sorry, sorry okay.

Speaker 1:

Javante Williams probably as well. I just to see a lot of upside. You know there he might start out season a little sluggish, but I do believe that he would take over eventually. So who do they actually? Will keep, though.

Speaker 2:

I think he'll definitely keep Stevenson Williams. He's definitely got an affinity towards Williams. I think I think that'll be. Those two are said. If I'm looking at a third at, that gets a little bit murky. I mean, that's only $17 and two players. I could see him either roll the dice, javante Williams or Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 2:

And I don't think you go wrong either way as I say, as I see him like if I was the same situation, I, you know, I almost look at it. I mean I probably go to Javante Williams route because I don't know, I Don't know, it's a tough call.

Speaker 1:

I would do. I Javante Williams scares me a little bit and I wouldn't believe Dave he didn't keep on his keeper lifts. The potential there are being an amazing player, I think is there. I just worry about his injury and that offense and changes, but I do. I do see a chance for him to be an amazing player and I will probably keep him if I were Dave. The one question after you is Modney Stevenson. You know one. Talk about Dalvin Cook. What if he doesn't go to the Chats? He might go to New England now. Would that change if? Would you keep him if cook goes to New England? I?

Speaker 2:

Think so, because that price is just too hard to pass up. $7, obviously, you know. I think it'd be potentially a 50-50. I don't think it's like down the cook comes in. It's gonna be like 80, 20 or 70, 30 I think. Stevenson is established himself in the in the pecking order there. I think he would still any. He's a good pass catcher, he's a big guy, so he's gonna be the guy in the goal line. Cook has not been that effective at the goal line, so I would still keep them.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I like that. So we have about 10 more minutes before we got to shut things down for a little bit. We could probably continue this next week. Let's go, it ain't gonna suck a self-nation, all right? Sorry, I'm jumping way ahead, aren't I? Sorry, philly, fast attack.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, philly fast attack. So I think the flag flag Not back. 1, 3, 4, 5, 6. I fly six players on his team, so he's got at quarterback. He's just got Kirk Cousins. As far as running backs, he's got an elite elite Austin Eckler and Josh Jacobs. I think those are two guys in the top five last year at least per game Great running backs. He's also got Rashad White, jerry McKinnon, who performed really well last year. He was, he was definitely awesome.

Speaker 2:

So he's got some solid running backs. He's got T Higgins. He's the land. Well, no more season lamb, he gets kicked out, see you later. He was on your third guy third year. So he's got T Higgins, chris Godwin, demarcus Robinson alleged more Chris Moore and Michael Pittman Jr. I'm sorry, quarterback, I missed, sorry. He's also. He's got Justin Herbert, so it's just the herb and Kirk Cousins Sorry. Then he's got Dallas could air at at a tight end. So pretty solid team. I like that. I flag six, about six, seven players on his team as possible keepers. I think for me, just looking at his roster Raffa that it's not necessarily obvious who his no-brainer keeper is.

Speaker 1:

Well, yeah, I mean, the no-brainer keeper would be, in an ideal situation, be Josh Jacobs. Right now, $18 would be perfect. However, we know that he's holding out with the Raiders and that could be a whole unique situation. I tend to think that Josh Jacobs is gonna be signing on day one. I Would imagine. Would you say that's a no-brainer if he is we, but it has confirmation before our draft.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, if he sees confirmation, he's easily, easily the biggest no-brainer here.

Speaker 1:

And then Austin Eckler, obviously the one of the greatest player, but at $70 that's way steep. He had a great year for him, so they can't complain about that, wouldn't blame of the captain. Met that 69, but that's really really high. You know, looking down the down the board a little bit, he's got some people on his bench that potentially can be really good. I would really look at James Cook for shot white I think is also, you know, a good possibility for keeper. I think we're shot whites gonna have a good season.

Speaker 1:

The problem for shot white is I don't think Tampa's gonna be very good this year and I don't know how much running they're gonna be able to do Without the goat being there anymore, tom Brady. So that could be interesting to see how that offense works out, could work out well, could be worth like a Seattle thing, and he ends up being really really good. I Just don't see it. I'll see we're shot white having a good season and worth worthy of, you know, picking up during the draft. I just don't know, even at four bucks, I mean maybe at four bucks, that's a good deal to keep met and as a possibility. And lastly, the kid is Tony. Again, you know question marks here, but he he lit the league on fire when he came to Kansas City. But can you see healthy and can continue that success.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I also throw Dallas. Could Aaron there's will to be? I think that's where it was the top five from. It tried in last year roughly around there. You look at Justin Herbers will to $15, ain't that bad. You know there's some question marks there, but I think he's still a really good receiver. I like and like game foosball to just go back to him like. But I it's like God. Buffalo Just can never seem to have a top, top elite. Yeah, right back, especially when they got to an Allen and they keep saying they're gonna, oh, they're gonna not have him run as much and maybe that benefits the running backs. But I'll believe it when I, when I see it.

Speaker 1:

Right, it's a tough call. Who do you think you would keep and who do you think Doug Walker keep?

Speaker 2:

I Think, yeah, I think it's confirmed and there's no reason thinking they won't. But so we'll just say, assuming Josh Jacobs will stay, I would keep Jacobs, I would keep, I would keep just for a shot white and I would keep James cook. I would keep all running backs because I think they're all at a good price. If you get a decent court running backs at 1827, 31 dollars, that's a great start and you can go out and get wide receivers and quarterbacks as you need to.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and that I wouldn't disagree with you on that. Probably where I would go, and you know Herbert and Tony would be in the mix. For me. It'd be a little difficult situation for me to pick on that one, but I think you're right on those three, wow we read you think Doug would change that, though.

Speaker 2:

Uh, you know things possible, you know. I mean Doug. Doug's a great, great owner, just like all the other owners of the league. He knows what he's doing, he does his research, you know he's. He's got impeccable taste and botanicals and you know you never. But I, I could see, maybe could. There is Tony's a positive. He says a possibility, but I just had a lot of injury or history.

Speaker 1:

I'm trying to kind of go you into Billy player. I.

Speaker 2:

What.

Speaker 1:

Any filly players there he might pick? Oh, go down.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so good.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, of course go there. He's always a possibility, he's a really good player.

Speaker 2:

I mean he's a really good again top five tied into 10 bucks. That's not too bad, yeah, do it.

Speaker 1:

Well, we've got about four minutes left on a clock, unfortunately for today, and we will have to finish this up tomorrow. Actually, probably next week would be more than we're thinking. Unfortunately, for those who don't know, we pretty much run our podcast off of Zoom. I have my school account, which gives me unlimited access to how long we can run these things. However, unfortunately, the school district is rebooting everything, so I put on my personal account, which I didn't realize. We had about 40 minutes on the clock Scott and I talked about for about five 10 minutes before that. So, in case of whatever this time is, we got three minutes and 30 seconds left.

Speaker 2:

Yes, so I'll just do my quick pitch real quick. We'll expand upon on the next podcast. We don't have to decide on it now. So I have a new excited idea. I don't know very, I usually have exciting ideas.

Speaker 2:

But, Mike said. Mike said ideas that we started a parallel league. We starts with all our 10 hours that we have. Now we had 10 or two additional owners that we believe are the most good fit for the league that want to do it. So we come up with a 12 team league. We throw in 20 bucks, we do a snake draft, we do it sometime before the preseason and we'll do it online and the idea of this league is basically like minor league baseball is that we have all these wonderful role proposals but we have a trouble pulling the trigger on.

Speaker 2:

You know whether it be, you know whether it be the two quarterback, the you know the two quarterback stuff, the no kickers, blah, blah, blah, idp. So the idea is that we would use it as kind of an experimental testing ground to still run a fancy football league, but try out these new ideas and see if it's something that we actually want to bring up to the big leagues. So I think it's an exciting idea. I love the idea and because I never have good ideas anymore because I'm old and so I'm going to throw that out there the rest of the league to see if that's something that some people would be interested in so that way we can try to see how new things you know, these, these, these rule changes would actually work in practice. And so I've actually started a league. I'll communicate it back to the techs and those stuff like that for people to look, to look into it Now remind everybody because we, you and I have talked about it.

Speaker 1:

but how would that work in terms of how?

Speaker 2:

we're drafting. So it would be a snake draft. So we would just do it online. So it's all like, basically, the ESPN draft, right, like Mikey is always drafting, you know, from a different place, and then Brett, stuff like that, where's Brett? And so it'd be. We would just draft online. We pick a night that everybody's available, you know, ideally maybe the week before the first game, which is the first week of September or whatever, and we would just do a snake style draft. The no-keeper is nothing like that. We would just, you know, do it kind of, just kind of straight up, and then we would play a year and with these new rules and see kind of how it goes, and we'd vote on the rules again next year and see if people want to do it or not.

Speaker 1:

So I like it. I like it. I'm a friend. Anything, anything to promote more fantasy football, I'm all about.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and the last thing too. You know, Chris and I talked about that maybe we consider a dynasty concept a little too. Maybe we consider that year too. If we want to do it again, we do it like a dynasty in parallel or something.

Speaker 1:

Well, now you're talking way past over my head.

Speaker 2:

Thank you.

Speaker 1:

Paros All right, we got less than 30 seconds left, so, scott, we sign us out.

Speaker 2:

I will Love you guys, Love this league. You guys are amazing people. You know, let's have a great draft here in about a month. We'll get another podcast and we'll do the rest of teams. And yeah, peace out, man. Bye-bye guys.
