Speaker 1:

Peter. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Fantasy Football Podcast. It's been over a year since we did this, almost. I'm here. I'm Chrissy Olde and I'm here with my best buddy, scott, the functional alcohol Scott. How?

Speaker 2:

you doing there, buddy, I'm doing good. You stay a little long on that alco-pholic.

Speaker 1:

Are you gonna let that one?

Speaker 2:

go. That's okay. That's okay, it's how you do. It's how you do, it's all right.

Speaker 1:

I'm doing great, you do you.

Speaker 2:

Okay, that sounds that's a weird start to the cast, but that's okay.

Speaker 1:

This is what happens when we're out of sync. You know we gotta get this thing back. In an organization we actually have something important to say. Wait, do we have it?

Speaker 2:

People wanna hear what we have to say. I mean, we have a voice, we have a voice, we have a voice.

Speaker 1:

You know we have a voice. We have a voice. Do people wanna hear it?

Speaker 2:

though. Well, maybe if you're in Germany and you're in Japan, or D&Chang, maybe, I don't know, we'll see.

Speaker 1:

You know, some of our most popular people are actually overseas that listen to our podcast.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's just like our podcast is like an analogy for NFL football. It's like it's growing in England and Germany and Mexico, just as we are. You know Exactly.

Speaker 1:

We actually have people in Switzerland, germany, new Zealand, can't remember the rest. There's many more, but like. I said, it's been a little while since we've done this, so it's great to have you back. It's great to do this, you know, like it's a good chance for us to catch up, talk about one of my favorite subjects, nac football and hopefully we can be a little more consistent. It has not been your fault. No, you haven't done this. No, you have been busy.

Speaker 2:

You have been, you are have been a dedicated golf coach. You were coached the boys team last year for your high school. This year you were coaching also the girls as well too, so sounds like you had a very successful season. I mean, you route in the second place. Yeah, and I don't know. It's called the conference or division. What's it called?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's basically a division Okay.

Speaker 1:

So I walked in the second place and the first place team didn't lose all season and as a powerhouse in the whole California area for golf they live basically most of the kids live on the Silverado golf course, so you can imagine that most of the kids are pretty good. Yeah, it's a private high school, so they have money. They have kids that live on the golf course. They're good. But I will say this and probably really don't need to go too much into this we're the only team that actually challenged them and actually make their coach sweat. I've actually got so pissed. At the end of the game he made his girls run five miles because we got so close to them feeding them Okay.

Speaker 2:

Wow, five miles. That's incredible. So you took this ragtag team, this bad news bears of golf in the Napa area, and it sounds like you were able to forge into fire and get them, rally them to be second place. I mean, how did you do that? What are some of your motivational techniques to help spur this great performance?

Speaker 1:

You know I laugh at what you're saying and I know you're kind of. Yes, the reason why I'm laughing at it is only because I actually had to speak on this last night, oh good, and I had to speak in front of a bunch of people, you know, in front of an awards assembly, as to how we did so well, and the first thing I had to say I had to use a Brock party reference. And I used the reference and it's actually very true and you know I'm a systems guy. Brock party might not own that, but I do.

Speaker 1:

And like I have an assistant coach who, like I'm very lackadaisical, which is good because I get the kids out of their heads, which is one of the most important things in golf, but it's also like one practice. The girls are like, hey, can we just take a day off and just sit there and talk? And I let him do it. But I was assistant coach who was like no, don't let him do it, don't let him. He's the guy that fires them up, you know, and sometimes goes over the top, where I calm him down. But sometimes I need that and you know where my method isn't working. I'm like talking to him down like, hey, don't worry, you got this, you got this. Like I need someone to fire me up. There's my coach.

Speaker 1:

You know, another coach is like very analytical and he's like, hey, coach, do you ever think about this or doing this and that? And I'm like, no, I actually didn't think about that. And I he's, like you observed, like this player doing this, like no, we'll miss that. And he was very good at those details where I would see the big picture. He was in the details. And then I have a third coach who is amazing at golf. I mean, the guy knows everything and so, like it's gonna sound bad, but as a golf coach, that's my weakness I can't break down a swing very well. He can do every little bit, tell him one little piece and get them going and get their scores down. And so I was able to bring those guys. You know a great admin team that helped me out. And then, of course, my players. You know those girls were amazing and they gel. You know, within any system, coach or player, you gotta have people around you. That's what I had.

Speaker 2:

So it sounds like you had your Roy Kent and your coach beard. You said it's not like you had those guys all around you to have a great team and bring the girls to new heights in their golfing endeavors.

Speaker 1:

You know, I wish I would use that analogy, but that's exactly right, because I always use the analogy for the girls of the goldfish. Yeah, they like shank a ball and make me a goldfish. Don't worry about that shot, because every bad shot you got two good ones coming ahead of you. Don't worry about it, just imagine what your next shot's gonna be.

Speaker 2:

Oh, it was a Ted Lasso reference and that was the last reference, and I should have said also the I should have thrown Nathan Shelley, that the the wonder kid you know the one again with Mike Doug.

Speaker 1:

You know we had, you know, the other coaches, you know to fire him up and we had everything.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I'm, I'm getting. I'm already getting. I'm already getting fans football questions. Roy Dodder, who's in the fancy football league this year? We're going to fast and furious. Of course, I don't have enough context, which I should have told her. What's the first question? Should I switch out Michael Wilson for my flex player, but who's your flex player?

Speaker 1:

Let's go on, and let me start with that. Yes, you should start. You should switch them out, because Michael Wilson is probably not gonna do well.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he has. It's been a tough season in New York and really their best offense is their defense, you know, to be honest, I mean we all watch the Chargers game and it was. It's a hard game to watch and clearly their defense was was the best part of their offense, just like making sacks and getting the ball back, and I think there was like 25 drives in that game of which is, which is insane. And yeah, I don't, I wouldn't trust Michael Wilson. You know what's the name. The quarterback Wilson is done, okay, but I don't trust anybody on a team, and do you? I mean, would you start anybody on that offense we saw?

Speaker 1:

but that's about it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But I mean you look at that team like I mean, really they have the pieces offensively Everywhere across the board except for one, the quarterback, yeah. And so if a team can like eliminate the run because you know the quarterback's not very good, I mean there's no more place to go. I mean, sad to say, is that Wilson's not gonna cut it, but he's not. You know, and I feel for the guy. I actually feel like I don't know why, but I'm pulling for him to do well right, but he's just not and he's not good and you know, I wouldn't recommend them. You could see it all over the Chats. Their season is done. If he's the quarterback, yeah.

Speaker 1:

We're just not gonna scenario which he can pull it together to bring that offense good enough to be even in the playoffs, which is sad and that's kind of the reality of like four or five teams In football right now, like I'm sorry, you know the Giants are screwed, they don't have their quarterback.

Speaker 2:

You know Atlanta I hate to say it, I don't know if any of those guys are gonna make them very good. Heinecke or or the other guy was starting before you got doves now quarterback for the Vikings for the rest of year. You know so a lot of teams are facing a lot of challenges and it's just they're still a long season to go. But the Jets I mean at least they have the defense to potentially overcome as we you look great. They I know you saw this, dad the Jets have beaten. They have beat Patrick Mahomes, they beat Josh Allen and they've beaten Jaylen Hertz. That's pretty incredible, and they did almost stayed in the game long enough to be Justin Herber.

Speaker 2:

And it goes back to what you were saying. Is that the just defense?

Speaker 1:

is amazing. Yeah, yeah, they get a few plays.

Speaker 2:

And they just get a few plays, an offer, and then they're fine. But yeah, it's their third, they're winning ugly, so are they?

Speaker 1:

in a systems quarterback. This is true. I got another text yeah, subject Are you done you good? Yeah, first time texture, a long time listener. My question is should I put in back press dot or golf this week as quarterback? That's a, I think, a question.

Speaker 2:

those guys are pretty evenly even the match, just going to my players, just because I'm trying to refresh myself on who's who's playing who An important part, but yeah, so I'm gonna set my opinion in there while you do that. Good, I really feel like Dak Prescott.

Speaker 1:

It's kind of falling into his own right now and I feel like he's. I think he's In a good spot.

Speaker 1:

He's doing well. I feel like this is a good sign that he is actually gonna have a good, at least the next few games. I won't go any farther than that, but I will say he's gonna have an S few games. So I would say that, you know, going with Dak Prescott would probably be the best bet, unless they're playing some ultimate defense, which I don't know. So they are playing the New York Giants, who obviously have recorded back trouble right now.

Speaker 2:

Then the team is having big quarterback trouble. So I, I, they're, they're fit. The Giants are actually fit. The grins throw the Port of the past. They blitz a lot that gets at the quarterback. I and you know Mike McCarthy wants to run and he hasn't. You know, he's kind of backed off that a little bit the last few weeks he's actually been finally throwing the best player in the team, the CB lamb. But I think this week I think they're actually gonna run quite a bit. They're gonna be able to run a lot of the game. I think they're actually gonna run quite a bit. They're gonna be able to run against them and they're gonna go against an experienced quarterback. They're probably gonna get a lot of turn.

Speaker 2:

It was for I. I mean, I think that you're right, everything said was right. But I think the opponent I'm a little bit worried. Jared got goes against the chargers who were 29th against the past. I Kind of like got there. I think he's gonna be just fine, just the matchup. I would go got. If you're equal playing the same team, I probably go press got. But I like got from this game.

Speaker 1:

And then I know, just discount that. Here is. I guess it's similar. If you go, dog, I feel you're going with a high. You go press going to high ceiling, sure? And I feel like you know when if you want to win or lose this game you gotta go with you, get a roll the dice and press, and I go press that. What do you think you go back to? Sounds like.

Speaker 2:

I don't, I don't think I would do that in this game. I think this is, I think this, while you're I agree with everything you just said. He's a the Dax, a high ceiling, higher, higher. You know, I just think this is a game that they're gonna be able to run the ball at will against the Giants. They're gonna turn the ball over the Giants gonna turn the ball over what's the guy's, what's the quarterback's name for the Giants? It's a great name.

Speaker 1:

With the people in the day huh.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they put it in your quarterback.

Speaker 1:

I forgot about that. Yeah, they're putting him on this.

Speaker 2:

They got Tyra Taylor back, which I don't think they did no time. Having thought or thought, it's still out.

Speaker 1:

Dr Rickie, I know that.

Speaker 2:

Tommy DeVito. Tommy DeVito, I Don't know man, not to offend any.

Speaker 1:

But here's the thing you gotta think about too when you have a bad offense and I think it's under underestimated in terms of, like Tennessee football projections, mm-hmm, you have a bad offense, they're not the offense. The defense is not gonna be on the field long and that means the offense can have many more opportunities. And I don't disagree with you like those opportunities. But sometimes when you play a weaker division or sorry, opponent is gonna be running the ball and but there's just gonna be so many opportunities in there. For and you know, again, I don't Disagree with it You're saying that got would be a. If you want to go conservative, I think golf is a better choice. Like you're going to get a good score from golf based on the opponent, based on all the other stuff. He's got so many great weapons to throw it to, but I just feel like that press that's hot right now.

Speaker 2:

I don't think it's a conservative play, though I think.

Speaker 1:

I think no, no, we need a good play.

Speaker 2:

But there's a real chance that, yeah, dallas gets up 27 or 28, 20 to nothing and that could be like, or even 24 to nothing. That could be one or two throws of the air and maybe 200 yards of that press cut and they're gonna shut him down at some point. Cuz there's me running the ball because that's what Mike McCarthy wants to do. You know, I think, actually I think that's so feeling this game is probably two touchdowns and 200 yards, easily getting 300 yards and in two or three scores.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't disagree with that if they go up. Big press got some of them go down real fast. Yeah, um, let's, let's do this. Yeah, if golf has better numbers fantasy wise Then press cut. I will buy you the first beer at Almas this Next week.

Speaker 2:

I'm 100% on board with that.

Speaker 1:

So that's not does better. Well, you're gonna owe me that first beer, which we already know.

Speaker 2:

You're gonna owe me by the way, first game of the season that we know, the Dallas Cowboys crushed the New York Giants. That press got had six point three, two fantasy points.

Speaker 1:

That's why I think it's gonna change.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay, somehow, somehow, the veto at quarterback is gonna rally. Keep them.

Speaker 1:

Different to press got wasn't in in sync, he wasn't doing well. At that time of the year I felt like he finally like bouncy the lamb, he's finally realized hey, I need to throw to the guy.

Speaker 2:

One thing. To do it against the Eagles is another thing to do it against the New York Giants. You were just not good. What are you saying?

Speaker 1:

right now.

Speaker 2:

It's it's one thing to do it against a team that they were.

Speaker 1:

I mean it's one thing to do against a good team versus and get a lot of points versus a bad team. Not get a lot of points.

Speaker 2:

The Cowboys were in a close, competitive game the last couple weeks, last three weeks In fact. You're right, zach Breska has got 26 points, 36 points, 34 points the last three weeks Absolutely fantastic. My point is is that I mean they're not gonna need them that much of this. They're just not gonna need them to do much.

Speaker 1:

I don't disagree that I don't disagree that at all, and you might be right, you might be Giants, but you might owe me a beer. Yeah, I feel pretty confident actually. I feel really really good.

Speaker 2:

In fact, I'll probably double down that I will, if that's making two beers. Two beers you're on, I'm not to shy away for the big money here.

Speaker 1:

You know like obviously two beers a little steep for my problem. You know like obviously two beers a little steep for my price but I will do it.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, yeah, you will go more than just the tip. Good job, All right.

Speaker 1:

I got another question. Yeah, next should I be worried about Doug John Doug, doug Douglas right and Walker the third?

Speaker 2:

Uh, you should, but you should only worry about it. You know if they haven't practiced at all on Friday and but you should look at. You should basically look at what their status is. Okay if the guy's got a little list. If he just thought was hold out for a practice, that's okay If he practiced, like on Tuesday or Wednesday, but they just hold him out into precaution. You know you need to look at the context and not just look at the tag.

Speaker 1:

No, somebody's. Uh, you're right and I agree with that, like, and if you look at it, just injuries, um, but Douglas Ziriki, who is just starting to come on for new england, I'd be very worried about that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, not to say that there's not potential there, but there's hasn't been a track record to be able to prove that he's going to be able to do it. And if you have any questions about that, yeah, I would have questions, just even if he's fully healthy. Now, if you look, born being out, that opens the opportunity and Douglas has gotten quite a few targets the last couple of weeks and so that opens up the possibility of that being really good. But there's two things that really scare me about Douglas One being a rookie. Two being a fellow check offense, as a receiver tends to be like one week one goes hot, one week another receiver goes hot. You don't know who that's going to be.

Speaker 1:

If I want to walk out the third, walk out the third. If he's going to play, put him in. And Charonne you know there was a big, a lot of talk, included by me, that Charonne was going to be a big thing in the Seattle offense and they're probably split carries. You know it's going to be this dynamic duo, or whatever you want to call it Our Charonne. We need to take over. There's a lot of chatter about what Charonne and taking over Walker the third, but Walker the third, throughout this year has been in the game. He has been the basically a workhorse of the Seattle offense. Now you are seeing the CS Charonne uptake of the last few weeks, weeks more specifically. But I wouldn't worry about Walker the third unless he's out.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely, and he's just got chest he's got. He's been dealing with the same thing the last week and he's like. So the other situation was kind of limited practice because he's got a chest injury. You know, some of that is like just pain tolerance, you know like especially with rib injuries, and so I think I think Walker is fine. Yeah, charonne really hasn't seized the moment, right, there's nothing that. There's nothing. I've seen in the game versus oh my God, he's going to take over. Versus, like, say, jomar Gibbs for the Lions, which I think actually has probably surpassed Montgomery, although I think it's going to be more 50, 50 now. But Walker just runs like he's mad at the ground and that's kind of overused phrase now but he just kind of runs like he runs hard, kind of like Damian Pierce is another guy that does that. They just they just run with this energy that a lot of other running backs don't do.

Speaker 1:

That's true. And then you know like that goes under undervalued in many fantasy points, because when you run hard, if you run a roadblock, you only get like three or four point yards per carry. But at the same time look at us wear down defenses and just takes one to spring it. And March on Lynch, it was the ultimate example of that. You know, maybe didn't have a great first quarter, didn't have a great second quarter. All of a sudden, like that guy's got 200 yards, almost you know, and like two touchdowns and so and why was that?

Speaker 2:

two bad games in a row, I mean. But it's against Cleveland and Baltimore, which probably the two, two of the best run defenses than it felt. And now he gets to go against Washington. He gets to go to the Rams. Nothing scares me there. Even Samson is the next opponent who's actually given up the decent amount of yarders as well. So I think he'll be, I think he'll be fine and that does like review. It's a rookie, you never know. Bill Belichick, definitely. That's a big wild card there. As far as what could happen next, I mean, you're only playing them if you're kind of somewhat desperate. You got guys still on a buy, I think Devonte Smith, I think Philly's, I think Philly's on a buy this week, if you can remember. So yeah, only it's a desperation play. I think we were looking at that. I think we're looking at Douglas, maybe over Osborn. Osborn's got a concussion. Most guys they get concussion. They're usually usually out the next game in general.

Speaker 1:

So and I, I don't have to scream. All right, I got one last question for you. You feel this has been exhausted, or do you got any more else to say on it?

Speaker 2:

Nope.

Speaker 1:

All good. What do you think of a trade for a larvae versus waddle?

Speaker 2:

So would you. The question is, would you rather have a larvae or waddle? Basically, I would rather have. I'd rather have waddle, and I base it on the quarterback. I trust Tua way more than a truck trust Derek Carr. I think both have, you know, a lot of a challenge for grabs, right? So obviously, tibery kill is I mean Tibery kills. There's no doubt that he's either one a, one B with Justin Jefferson for as the best wide receivers of football. So waddle's got that to compete with. But there's nothing else after that. And you look at New Orleans, you got, you know, you got Thomas and you got Shakir, who looks like a, who looks like a guy, is a potential stud, but look who's throwing on the ball. So I would much rather go with waddle or larvae. How?

Speaker 1:

about you. I'm just thinking of the next question. I'm just picking up this part, but you look at Carr versus Garoppolo Readers. Let Carr go to pick up Garoppolo. Who would you rather have?

Speaker 2:

I mean the sad thing is it's, it's probably car, but you don't feel good about either. I mean you don't feel good about either because always grapple is always just an injury way from whatever you know, and grapple did relatively okay, but it's a crappy line. But it's the same crappy line that the car had as well too.

Speaker 1:

I would feel a little more comfortable with car than the grapple.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, not a lot, but yeah not a lot.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I agree, but I would feel like car has a little more grit to him to be able to like. Grapple is great. If he has no pressure and has people open he's probably better. But car can make things up a little bit better than grapple. Again, I thought that's all I go with, but you know the translate, the coaches, though.

Speaker 2:

Wouldn't that be great if the so the streamers like that. The Patriots might, you know, fire a bell check, like before the season's over. Yeah, we greatly fired him, and he went to the Raiders. The Raiders like hey, let's take him. And then all of a sudden like, oh, wow, we need a coach.

Speaker 1:

Let's, let's get that no-town, yeah it's going to be the offensive coordinator. Yeah that's what it's all about it's so bad.

Speaker 2:

I mean just I don't know why. I mean they just got allured by it, right, it's just like it's just he's just not. He's just not a good overall coach, you know, he just hasn't yeah.

Speaker 1:

But let's talk about something actually important, which is the same slammies Fantasy football league. Yeah, now, it's not easy to get into this league. I understand, like to get in. It's like a thousand dollars just to like get in.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, just a sniff, yeah, just to see what's going on.

Speaker 1:

Usually there's a deductible at least a few hundred dollars that you're like, interested, like if you never do it, you get it back and you're off the list. But last year can you remind me who the winner was?

Speaker 2:

I believe it might have been some fairly lucky team called the San Francisco fourth and slammers.

Speaker 1:

No, I don't think that's correct. The name was the San Francisco fourth and Niners, but I like what you're going with. I think too many whiskeys for you, but that's okay. But who's the first place this year?

Speaker 2:

I'm thinking that for prime Nope they are in first place of their division.

Speaker 1:

The.

Speaker 2:

San Francisco. Fourth and Niners in the first place of their division.

Speaker 1:

And so first place would go San Francisco.

Speaker 2:

Fourth and Niners again right, as far as the division, yes, as far as the division, okay.

Speaker 1:

So, having said that, yes. Where are you going? Would you not say like the dominant team of the last couple of years, almost like a dynasty, would be the San Francisco fourth and Niners.

Speaker 2:

No, no, I would not say that you would not say that. There was nothing in me that would make that statement.

Speaker 1:

I might be unbiased. Obviously, an unbiased party isn't here. I would say that they're almost a dynasty by now.

Speaker 2:

How much risky have you been drinking?

Speaker 1:

None, but anyway, they are the only one with actually a trophy for Lennar Sam.

Speaker 2:

Well, yeah, they purchased it. Sorry, it seems like somebody was extremely motivated.

Speaker 1:

Motivated to win. That's what I do. All I got to do is win, win, win.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay, okay. So I want to go back to your statement about dynasty. Okay, so you said 2022, you were the winner. Good job, great, actually, great job. 2023, you're leading right now. The last time.

Speaker 1:

Wait, wait, wait, wait. Let's stop right now. Last time, you? No? Let's just stop the call Last time you came anywhere.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you got third place in 2018 and third place in 2015.

Speaker 1:

Well, let's just stop the call right there. Yeah, obviously I got serious around last year. Obviously Before I didn't care.

Speaker 2:

Your glory years were 2010 and 2011, when you actually won back to back.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, let's go there for Warner. Okay, I'm a back to back kind of guy, so obviously back, way back in the time I had for Warner back to back. I felt back to back coming on.

Speaker 2:

The Chaitan Brawlers are a bigger dynasty than you. They finished second place the last two years.

Speaker 1:

Really, are you gonna throw a Chaitan Brawlers reference right now?

Speaker 2:

Well, they've actually placed the last two years that nobody else has. I mean, they're the only one that's done that in the last two years. So there's that. Suck on that for a minute.

Speaker 1:

I'm gonna suck on it, but it's not that I'm gonna suck on this whiskey.

Speaker 2:

So yeah. So let's talk about, maybe, how you've done that. I mean, let's talk about what is your path to success. And I look at your team. I mean you got a really strong quarterback obviously Patrick Mahome is, so for two weeks ago that didn't go very well, but you've done it well. You got good running backs. Bijan Javante, you got oh my God, how have you done this? You've got wait, you had your hot pants. You just had a good week two weeks ago. Debo, who's okay?

Speaker 2:

Luganakua and Justin Jefferson. Obviously we were big guys the first three or four weeks. Those guys were dominant the first four weeks of the season. I gotta imagine that propelled you to a lot of victories.

Speaker 1:

So who I mean? Like I don't just agree with some of the things you were saying, but Patrick Mahome, you feel like he's been the top quarterback this year. No, he's top three.

Speaker 2:

I mean again, it's always to me it's always between him and Alan and Hertz, and really the last four weeks of Burroughs, who's been a step Really good on fire. Yeah so, but like so, just point of reference, my 12 team big money league first overall pick, I actually took Mahomes. It's a two quarterback, it's two QB, qb and flex.

Speaker 2:

So I mean, that's how big I was on Mahomes and to me he was the safest bet and it's kind of paid off so far for the most part. But yeah, he's great and I mean with him. And you know, javante Williams kind of quietly has been having a good year of ESH. He also got you did really well as far as and this is probably a lesson to learn for a lot of other people you went heavy on your free agent money we have $100 every year to spend and you went heavy, I believe, on Puka Nakuwa and Tyrone Williams and those two bets paid off for you, especially in the first four weeks.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and you know, honestly, like there is a lot to say with that. In some ways I got lucky because people didn't leave the disclaimer. That happened, that's been here, but which was, you know, basically the here's how I really got lucky. I actually didn't read it myself, but I actually put in the request for those players, for the people that you see, like two days before because I knew I was gonna be available. But you know the day that those were gonna be available the night before and so I put them in a couple of days available, you know, available before and I was able to get them because most people didn't see it. I only put them in, not because I saw the message, so it was gonna be a day early, but because I actually had some other things and I was lucky to get those guys because other people didn't see that message.

Speaker 2:

I'm gonna be completely honest. I'm actually stunned that you have the best team.

Speaker 2:

When I look at your roster, I'm gonna be stunned I hate to say it, but I mean I just like, I was like wow, okay. I mean like if you look at it right now, it's challenged, obviously because there's buys and there's other things going on and you know the fluctuation of injuries and guys stepping up and but you know, wait, who are you gonna go? Wait, who are you gonna go to quarterback this week, chris, you're picking up somebody, obviously because you only have my homies on your roster.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, who am I gonna pick up?

Speaker 2:

That's a great question. Should we look at the waiver bar?

Speaker 1:

I already know who I'm picking up. But like I'm gonna try to pick up but I don't know if I'll get that person, you know.

Speaker 2:

Well, I mean you know, as far as projections, I mean it's not like you know you're looking at the greatest quarterbacks of all time, right? So we're looking at five projections, we're looking at the top five or Baker Mayfield, rock Purdy Will Love Us, Joshua Dobbs and Tyler Heineke the one with the best matchup is Will Love Us going against the 30th ranked surprisingly 30th ranked in Tampa Bay defense. You know the homeward pick might suggest that you go with Rock Purdy, who's going against the 23rd defense against Jacksonville. So I'm not gonna ask you who you picked, but I mean they're trying to pick, so we don't wanna influence anything, but those are your options.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. So I mean, there's a couple different availabilities there, not good ones, but like you know, you gotta do like. Last week, this is beyond. I picked up Napa Prime and I scraped them. Yep, and I don't say that because like I'm gonna brag about it. I only scraped them because, like they had multiple players out on buy weeks, most notably Christian McCaffrey, but then on buy week and Travis Kelsey had an off week, which isn't gonna happen very often in the 18th season, 17th game season you can look at that once. Once you know, and maybe twice in that year, he's gonna have an off day in the game and Christian McCaffrey was on buy week and so I was not really lucky at all, which I'm gonna love, but this week I'm not feeling it.

Speaker 2:

So guess who you're playing.

Speaker 1:

I'm playing you.

Speaker 2:

Yep, yeah, I just noted that. So we played week one. You beat me by five, just about five points one, 24 to one 19. So now we have the rematch.

Speaker 1:

It was a rematch and you know who my crypto is right.

Speaker 2:

Is that?

Speaker 1:

it. You know what team I lose to the most, who? Honestly, if you broke it down which is good I don't think it can do it on ESPN, but for Yalu or whatever short you would use, but you can't break it down to who you win loss or who you see in. But I promise you, if I was able to do that after every season, who I would lose the most to, it'd be you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and that's especially the fact. In the other little fancy for the LL League, we have our experimental league. I was gonna put that up there for a minute because it's a fun little thing. So let me ask you in our experimental league we thought of trying different rules, different ways of doing things. I think you had a team name at first, but then somewhere around week one or two, you decided to change that name to something else. What was that name? One for now, the one now?

Speaker 1:

Spanking Scott.

Speaker 2:

Oh, okay, okay, so Spanking Scott, which implies that you're going to Spanking Scott, oh yeah, so we played twice. And what was the result?

Speaker 1:

Well, do you think I spent any time on that freaking league?

Speaker 2:

I do, I do. I spend not as much as I do the other leagues.

Speaker 1:

It's all incremental, so Well here, yes, you have me. You're the king of me and you have destroyed me in that league. Here's the thing that I did not understand about how we set things up on defense yeah, it's horrible yeah. I don't understand how so unknown linebacker is going to get more points than Joey Bosa or Nick Bosa or Carmen or a bunch of other big guys.

Speaker 2:

I screwed up IDP forever because I didn't really think it through. So
