This golf enthusiast has been addicted to golf since I was 8 years old, that's 40 years to you and me. Always trying to get the best deal on forged golf irons before they are all gone. Classic forged irons are really what get me excited about hitting golf balls the way they were intended to be hit. That goes for classic putters and classic persimmon woods too. Golf is far too expensive and it doesn't have to be. Golf can be participated in for far less money than what you think. Golf equipment, golf balls at the range, golf outings at the local muni, outings at upper echelon golf courses, and maybe attending the infrequent PGA Tour tournament.

Hello again Fellow Golfists,
I wanted to share a great weekend of golf that was the week of The Open Championship from Royal Liverpool at Hoylake and visiting the 3rd round of the Reno Tahoe Open which is also known as the Barracuda Championship from Old Greenwood Golf Course in Truckee California.
I had a great time visiting Old Greenwood last Saturday. I followed Cameron Champ for the front 9 and it was an amazing time of seeing proper golf shots hit by proper touring professionals. l also got to have my picture taken with a guy that has a really good mustache, second only to the reassuring mustache of Nigel Mansell.
I also got to have a couple of shakedown sessions with my new to me Wilson Staff FG 53 Gooseneck irons from the early 90s. One little bucket of range balls was at the driving range at Northstar at Tahoe in 95 degrees. And the other was at the back of the range at Sacramento National in 108 degrees.
