Andrea Morton

Kim Guyader was a founding partner at J Public Relations (J/PR) when she became mother to two adorable daughters.

Yet, despite her years of amazing work as a leader in the travel and hospitality PR industry, Kim struggled to find her way forward when her children were tiny... especially once her eldest daughter was diagnosed at age 5 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Stepping away from J/PR to spend more time with her children and form her own boutique PR+ marketing consultancy, twentynine12, Kim learned how to powerfully advocate for her daughter.  She also worked to strike a sustainable balance between her family and her career.

In this interview Kim talks frankly with Infinite Capacity Podcast host Andrea Morton about how vulnerable and sometimes isolating it can feel to be the mother of a child with special needs. She also shares some of the amazing gifts that have been part of her family’s journey with ASD and gives a lot of examples of the joy and pride she feels in BOTH of her daughters!

Kim explains how she navigated this parenting journey as a working mom, what her support system has been like, and where things are now (over a decade later) with her daughter turning 18 and graduating from high school in six weeks.

Whether or not you’re the parent of child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ALL parents will connect with Kim’s message to Moms about finding your tribe, lifting each other up, and learning how to reach out to seek needed resources and support.

You're sure to get so much out of this beautiful, honest interview.
