Welcome to Episode 2 of Season 2!
In this episode, I speak with New York-based actor and longtime friend, Katie Schickert. We had an open and honest conversation about how her many privileged identities influence her daily experiences and how her not-so-privileged identities impact her. We realized just how much geographic location matters and how important it is to have conversations with those whose identities you don't share. Her insight as a White woman was priceless and I appreciate her candor. Our high energy conversation led me to emphasize the phrases, "It's not always about race," I don't see color," and then The Talk.
