Denmark and Germany are linking Europe to the Scandinavian region. Sustainable transport and green energy initiatives are playing a big role for connecting the two regions, in labour mobility and securing business dynamics.

Scandlines has the world's largest fleet of hybrid ferries and is a frontrunner in sustainable ferry operations. Since the deployment of the double-ended ferries on the Fehmarn Belt, Scandlines has reduced CO2 emissions by more than 50 percent. Later this year, the ferry operator will deploy its first zero direct emissions ferry with the world’s largest battery bank on the Puttgarden-Rødby route.

The topics for our 30-minute talk will be:

  • Realising Scandlines’ zero direct emissions vision
  • Customer experience management
  • A look into the future perspectives of ferry services and the Fehmarnbelt tunnel
