Jessica McDonald

Hi! I’m Jessica.

I'm a white settler living in Saskatoon on Treaty 6 territory and the homeland of the Métis. I teach regularly at St. Thomas More College and the University of Saskatchewan, where I received my Ph.D. in English in 2019. I teach: intro to literature (drama, narrative, poetry, and other cultural work), Canadian Literature, Indigenous Storytelling of the Prairies, Literary Theory, and Academic Writing.

I'm currently writing a book on Douglas Coupland, under contract with the fabulous Wilfrid Laurier University Press. You can find more info about my other research projects here.

When I’m not teaching, researching, or podcasting, I like to cook needlessly elaborate meals, make lots of lists, write silly poems, and, in the summers, pretend I know how to play slo-pitch.
