We're going to be talking about that. We're going to be talking about the recording that was recorded between Jeff DeWitt and Kerry Lake. We're going to be talking about the last weekend state meeting at the AZGOP. We're going to be talking about that and much more after these messages.

Speaker 2:Hey everybody, welcome back. It's Walt Blackman. Now, if you've been paying attention to Arizona politics, you would know that last week, a bombshell exploded in the lap of the former chair of the AZGOP, jeff DeWitt. Now Jeff and I know each other. We've spoken on many occasions, I've been up to the AZGOP to make phone calls on my campaign's behalf, so on and so forth. I digress.
Speaker 2:However, what happened last week with Mr DeWitt is that he was recorded by the frontrunner and the Arizona US Senate run Kerry Lake. Now, when you listen to the tape, you have to decide whether or not you think it was a setup or it was something that just happened. This happened 10 months ago, I will tell you. We have some folks that think it was a setup. We have some folks that think that it was some nefarious things going on. However, no matter how you look at it, it's some garbage that was happening.
Speaker 2:Now, 10 months ago, kerry Lake recorded Jeff DeWitt in a conversation about her running and he made suggestions that, and I quote there are people back east that don't want you to run, and we'll be able to hear more of that, and you'll be able to hear how Kerry Lake's, how she replies, and this and this Now to me. I'm just going to tell you straight up her responses are responses that sound rehearsed. Number one, number two they are things that she typically says in a narrative on her campaign trail, and I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that because those are her principles, that's how she feels. However, they just sound a little bit rehearsed and maybe it's because she just says them all the time. Okay, now, what I don't want people to do is think that I am picking one side or another. I'm not saying that Now, on the flip side, jeff DeWitt goes in to say that the tapes were doctored, that there's some editing that has been left out of some of this recording.
Speaker 2:Now, I don't know, I don't know. I can't speak to that. I can only tell you what I have said. Now, again, I am not saying I am not weighing in on one side or the other, our favoring Jeff DeWitt or favoring Kerry Lake. I'm not doing that. I am just actually talking about what is out there and what people are talking about.
Speaker 2:So there is a there's like a couple of things that happen. So, first of all, we had the recording from Kerry Lake that was recorded of her, the conversation between her and Jeff DeWitt. After that, trump was supposed to come in for a freedom festival speech or whatever he was going to do. That was abruptly canceled after this tape thing came out, after it exploded. The same week or weekend we had the AZ-GOP state meeting. Now, before that, jeff DeWitt resigned. He resigned his position as the chair of the AZ-GOP and then Saturday went into the state meeting without a chairperson or a chairman. So we had a lot that went on.
Speaker 2:I had an opportunity to go to the state meeting and I got to tell you it was like a bar fight and, interesting enough, kerry Lake was booed at the state meeting, as was Rogers. Now that is kind of alarming to me, because the last event, the last time I spoke on the same stage as Kerry Lake, was at my last TPT. What is it? The Turning Point USA event that I spoke at? I said to, I said to play something very, you know, minor, but when she walked into the building, when Kerry Lake walked into the building, the crowd went crazy. They were going nuts and she wasn't even elected. The crowd just went nuts.
Speaker 2:Completely different this time. And you got to understand the audience were state commitment. Now these are staunch conservative Republicans and during the time that Ms Lath was running for governor, I would say about 99% of these folks were probably on board with her and some of them were in that same room when they went nuts. When she walked into the room she got a standing ovation. I mean, it was, like you know, she was a rock star. Completely different this time when she was speaking at the state meeting, and if I were on her campaign team I would be kind of alarmed at that because that's a microcosm of what's going on around the state. So let's listen to some of the tape and we are going to just kind of dissect some of it. I wanted to set the background and that was the background. So let's kind of dissect some of the things that are in this tape.
Speaker 4:So what's going on? What is? I'm assuming this is our friend.
Speaker 5:This is this is this, is that East? They there are very powerful people Don't want to keep you out oh, they do, but they're willing to put the money with. Their mouth is in a big way.
Speaker 4:So this comes if you never had. This is crazy, though they should want me. I'm a great candidate, people love me. These people are corrupt.
Speaker 5:Well, maybe you're right.
Speaker 4:They are. They are corrupt, maybe.
Speaker 5:Don't go, you can't go. I'm going to myself this if you say no, let's just find your choice.
Speaker 4:Don't tell people they're going to have to try to have me murdered.
Speaker 5:He's world man, if that stuff that came out last week is right about the cartel stuff.
Speaker 2:So I find something real interesting about this tape If you listen to it. In the beginning of the tape, kerry Lake starts out by saying so what's going on? Basically what's happening? And she asked the question is this our friend? And Jeff DeWitt seemingly says yeah, basically it is our friend. And I'm interested to know who that friend is. Now a lot of people may be speculating that it's Donald Trump. It could be somebody else, it could be somebody in the Senate, it could be Republican leadership in DC. Don't know exactly. Is this our friend? I want to play it again so you can get that analysis of that, because I think it's important that we really listen to these things. Now here we go again.
Speaker 4:So what's going on? What is? I'm assuming this is our friend.
Speaker 5:This is back east. There are very powerful people going to keep you out.
Speaker 2:So Jeff DeWitt actually says this is back east, we have to think that that's Washington DC, because that's back east. Is this our friend? Again, is this Donald Trump that they are talking about? Now? If it is the former president, that is something to be talking about, because that's a whole different story right there and the question can dive into is Donald Trump actually will playing in Arizona politics number one, and he did that during 22. Has he lost faith in Kerry Lake? Is he trying to get her out of the race because he wants Arizona to win in 24, 25? Is he trying to set Arizona up for a win for him? Who knows? There are so many questions and places that you can go with that. Is this our friend? And I would be willing to bet that maybe they are speaking about the former president, president Trump, is this our friend?
Speaker 2:And then, when Kerry Lake talks about when she was at CPAC, she says that there's a lot of corruption in this and it's. I got to tell you she is right about that. There is a lot of corruption in DC politics and I'm not going to this, leave it in DC politics. There's a lot of corruption in Arizona politics, if you really want to know anything about it. We're going to have another show about that. However, with that being said, now I want to touch on something that is alarming to me in this state. If you recall, she says they want to murder me.
Speaker 2:Now, let's take the sensationalism out of it. That is something that needs to be looked at, because we don't know. We don't know what's going on with this and you're talking about. A candidate for a national race has brought that up. I don't know if it's real, I don't know if it's not. However, we need to dig past the the show lights of all this thing and find out. If her life is in danger, why would she bring that up? I don't know. The second part about this is they both refer to. Is this our friend? Now, I'm not saying that they are referring to the president, former president, donald Trump. However, they both have a relationship with them. They both are friends with them, and is this something that came from the Trump administration as a message through Jeff DeWitt to Kerry Lake? That's something to be thinking about.
Speaker 5:This is that they. There are very powerful people. They want to keep you out, but they're willing to put their money where their mouth is in a big way.
Speaker 2:Now Jeff DeWitt makes a comment about powerful people back east, or some powerful people back east. Who are those people he is talking about? So we've got we've got some dynamics that are going on in this conversation that need to be analyzed, and we're going to be taking this week to be able to do that, to be able to deep dive into some of these things that have been said in this tape and go beyond the spectacle of the. He bribed me. It was a bribe, this and this, because there is a lot of things, there's a lot of messages in this recording that we need to be.
Speaker 2:There are a lot of things, there are a lot of subjects, I would say are pieces in this recording that need to be addressed and we need to take a good look at some of these things, because when we just kind of gloss over some of the underlying issue I used to have a drill sergeant you would tell us we need to peel the onion back on this one and that means that there is more to this story than just. The overarching theme of Jeff DeWitt was set up and there is a bribe discussion going on based on the narrative of the tape. There is a lot more going on than just arrive, if that's what you want to call it. Now, in Jeff DeWitt's defense, he does say that the tape was altered, that there is some editing going on with the tape, and there should be full accountability and transparency on that. If that tape was edited and there were things that were taken out of that tape that wasn't presented to the people, then I think that that should be brought interesting enough because this hasn't turned into this thing, as I said it continues to
Speaker 1:size, to go to court on this and for deformation.
Speaker 2:But as you listen to, the tape you can just if you want to know what to go on you need this is something that may need to be once, twice.
Speaker 6:He also makes a statement let's have people pull out some of the stuff, analyze it. And it will tell you a different story.
Speaker 2:People back east what?
Speaker 6:you are hearing. That's something we need to ask and who would be narrative or what the news is?
Speaker 2:telling you, this is telling you, there is a lot more, I would say, garbage happening behind the scenes Concerning this tape. So, as we continue to analyze this tape and again peeling back the onion, finding out what's underneath, now again some people may say oh, you know, you're digging too deep in this and this and this. Listen, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I can. But I can, I can disseminate Verbitch and I and I understand when something is being said. There is, there is also a deal called a read between the lines, listen between the lines on this tape. And I think it's important that you do that because, again, I believe this thing goes much deeper than just Kerry Lake taping Jeff DeWitt and the recording talks about a bribery, because that is all we are here. And let me go ahead and press the tape again. I know it's by control.
Speaker 5:It's about being on.
Speaker 2:It's about being on the team. What team is he talking about?
Speaker 6:They want you to be on there.
Speaker 4:But if they're pushing a globalist agenda, I can't do that. So what do they want? What do they want me to do?
Speaker 2:Now, come on, that is a talking point. I don't care who's saying it, I don't if it's me, if it's somebody, that's a talking point. Pushing a globalist agenda. Now, let's peel the onion back on this. He says earlier you're talking about power for people back east, back east.
Speaker 2:Ok, the only group that they refer to as pushing a globalist agenda Are those folks that they call, I guess, rhinos. Are the Democrats? Now, if it's the rhinos they may be referring to. I don't know. I think that that's a terrible term to use and we're going to get into another subject about that. However, if they are using that term to identify the Mitch McConnell's of the world, then we know that's who they're talking about. If it's not Mitch McConnell, who are they referring to? The globalist? Or who is Kerry Lake referring to? The globalist? It's a globalist agenda. That is what they are trying to push. Is she talking about the left? Is she talking about other people in the party that we do not know? Or is it something that has been pre-arranged to be said for a talking point for her listeners and for her followers? It could be anything. Now, again, I'm not saying she's wrong, I am just analyzing this tape to the fullest.

Speaker 2:We are talking about the so-called bribery recording that was made by Kerry Lake and caught the audio of former AZGOP Jeff DeWitt, and we are actually slicing and dicing the recording as we go forward in this, you know, trying to pull out some pertinent information. Now, after this point, it gets pretty interesting in what's said and you know pretty much. Jeff DeWitt comes out basically and says here's what I can offer you. Yada, yada, yada. Now again, anytime that you are talking to Kerry Lake, you need to know that she is recording. She may not necessarily be recording you when you come up to say hello to her, and how are you doing so much and so forth. But however, she is recording and they go back and they analyze that recording and if they hear something in that recording that'll benefit them, like this tape did. Guess what. Don't be surprised if you hear your voice on some sort of tape.
Speaker 2:Now this is where I'm very disappointed in where the conversation goes, because apparently they used to be friends. Are they our friends? Are they had some sort of platonic relationship, a professional relationship where they were friends? Well, first of all, friends I mean jeez, with friends like that, who needs enemies Really? So Jeff was probably assuming that when he went to go speak to Kerry Lake 10 months ago that it wasn't going to be recorded. Now you know that's a lesson learned. I think that's a lesson learned for everybody that you need to assume that you were being recorded. No matter who you're talking to, you have to assume that you were being recorded. Now here is something that this is where it gets. It gets kind of dicey and some of the bones actually get uncovered, and this is something I believe that you know was being set up to move forward. So let's go ahead and let's go ahead and listen to the tape and analyze again what do they want? What do?
Speaker 4:they want me to do. They want me to stay opportunist.
Speaker 6:But I'm gonna tell you what I cannot for you.
Speaker 5:But I said if you can do whatever you want talking to this man. So the ask of me was it's kind of funny. So the ask I got today from back east was this is he has to stay for us? Was? Is there any companies out there or something that could just put it on the payroll or give him to keep around? And I said, well, what do you want to do?
Speaker 4:Whatever you need to do, this is about defeating Trump, and I think Now here we go.
Speaker 2:That right there. Gotta tell you that is. There's a discussion about that. Is that Brian? Or so you know what? If it walks like a dog, if it walks like a, what is a duck? If it walks like a duck, it quacks like a duck. It is a duck.
Speaker 2:Okay, it's really hard to get around that when you have this type of conversation. It's something like a quid pro quo this for that, and the ask was for her to get out of the race, and if you get out of the race, this is what we can ask her. Now. Here's the. Here's the saddening thing about this. Jeff is a good guy In my book. Jeff is a good guy. However, somebody used him to do their dirty work. Now, that's that is gutless. On whoever is this mysterious, powerful group of they back east? If it's a, if it's an individual pushing this agenda, if it's a group of people pushing this agenda, that is disingenuous and that's gutless, because you got somebody else to do your dirty work. And that's gutless because you got somebody else to do your dirty work and you're off the hook, but they. Jeff DeWitt is stuck with this, so they asked him to carry their message. Now, something like that. You know you got some decisions to make when somebody asks you to do something like that and it's easy for me to sit here in Monday morning quarterback this day, and I am certainly not trying to do that. However, I have been put in situations that were similar, where people wanted me to deliver messages and I just said, hey, listen, if it's that important to you, you can deliver that message on your own. You don't need me to do it and I don't need you to get me hemmed up, because that's exactly what happened in this situation. There were people who were gutless, that wanted a message delivered and who best to do it the year is on a chair. Now you gotta understand something peeling back the onion on this thing, whoever they are, and is this a friend of ours? And so on and so forth powerful people. They know that Kerry Lake records too. They know that they are friends to Jeff DeWitt and Kerry Lake were friends. They know that when Jeff went into that conversation, that his guard was going to be down, that he was going to be comfortable enough to say things, because he felt he was talking to a friend, an ally, somebody that he could trust. So why would he think he's going to be taped. However, if this was a coordinated effort to get him to resign and to put somebody else in that seat, the chairman's seat, that would do the bidding for Donald Trump. Because guess what Kerry Lake did say this is about Donald Trump. This is about Donald Trump. Now, if Donald Trump was your ally, if this is about Donald Trump, I don't think I would be going to his rescue, because if he is the one that's delivering, that's having DeWitt deliver this message, then that's a problem. That's a whole other conversation. Now, it could be that.
Speaker 2:And notice how Lake plays to her base. She plays it right up, she tees it up. This is about Trump. This is about them going after Trump. That is a commercial right there. That's a talking point right there. That's going to get her some mileage.
Speaker 2:You don't think that she knew at that point what to say, to make sure that she has all the right soundbites. Now, I'm not saying she's wrong for doing that. That's what happens in politics. You look for the best opportunities to get your voice heard and that narrative, that tone, does that. That tone says hey, you know what? This is what my base wants to hear and this is what I'm going to say. He played right into that and guess what she says.
Speaker 2:It is this about Trump.
Speaker 2:This is about Trump.
Speaker 2:We need to save Trump. They are going after Trump and when you say that to his base, guess what People respond to that. That could have been a strategy move, that could have been something that they kind of threw out there. Who knows? I don't know, but it's safe to say the people back east, who they are referring to talking to, understood that his guard was going to be down when he went and spoke to Kerry Lake and did that group person, powerful people back east did they set this up knowing that and knowing that this conversation was going to lead to him having to resign?

Technically, she did put this out, she just didn't say who, because at the CPAC that she spoke at it 10 months ago, exactly 10 months ago, she did say something about. She did mention it. Okay, so to her credit, she did mention it. She did get into the who, the what, the when, the where, but she did say that somebody approached her, came to her house and said that they wanted her to get out of the race. Let's listen to that tape Cary Lake, 10 months ago at CPAC.
Speaker 4:I decided to share this. It's a little bit controversial, but I'm going to put this out. Somebody showed up at my door this week. They called me before and said I got to talk to you in person. This can't be done over the phone. She's always kind of like uh-oh, what's that going to be about? They came to my door and they tried to bribe me out of getting out of politics. It's really happened. I'm telling you this because this is how disgusting politics is A mom who runs for office and they're afraid of me. They tried to bribe me with a job title, with a huge salary, a position on a board. This is how they do it. And I said are you kidding me? I walked away from a big job and a big salary.
Speaker 2:I'm not motivated by that you heard it right out of Cary Lake's mouth 10 months ago at CPAC. So she actually you know, technically she did come out and say hey, listen, somebody came and bribed me and 10 months later we know she's talking about this conversation she had with Jeff D'Witt. Now I got to tell you, you know, there's a lot of questions that need to be answered and I think it's a little bit more than just what's going on at the in the Arizona GOP. There's a lot of shenanigans, as she said at CPAC, and I think we need to really get down to the bottom of it.
