As I Live and Grieve
It’s time for grief to come out of the basement, or wherever we have stuffed it to avoid talking about it. When you suffer a loss you need support, comfort, and a safe place to heal. What you are experiencing is painful but normal, unique but similar, surreal but very, very real. As grief advocates we understand and want to provide support, knowledge and comfort as you continue to live and grieve. Host, Kathy Gleason; Producer, Kelly Keck. www.asiliveandgrieve.com
As I Live and Grieve
Life After Losses, Twice Widowed - with James LaVeck
Summary:
Losing a spouse is devastating, losing two is, for many, incomprehensible. Shifting roles in parenting, maintaining routine for your children, and moving through grief is shared candidly by our guest today, James LaVeck.
Episode Notes:
James LaVeck was widowed twice before he was 48. He first started writing about his loss and grief in 1997, but it was the death of his second husband in 2014 that prompted him to finally tell his story in Life After Losses. What started as a cathartic experience toward healing has evolved into a passion to help others heal from their loss, and to encourage an individual approach to grief recovery. He plans to follow up his self-help memoir with a second book, entitled Moving Past Grief, being released on November 30, 2021.
