This is the first of three mini episodes of our conversation. In this interview, we talk about transitioning from a leadership role in other companies to starting her own business.

THINGS WE TALK ABOUT:

  • Recording this interview from her car because her daughter is home sick, while I hold my baby that won't nap
  • Doing speaking gigs and events alongside her daughter who is now six years old
  • Launching her latest venture, COYA Productions and why she chose to start a business in February 2022
  • Realizing she was personally, physically and spiritually exhausted as a parent working in a leadership role
  • How not sleeping well for the first five years of her child's life impacted her health
  • Focusing on re-Indigenizing her own ways of working, being in ceremony, culture, on land and in service to her own mission and vision

Thanks to Jace for taking time out of her day to share her experiences redesigning her work and life with her family's needs in mind.
