I come from a cowboy raised and egghead educated background. I’ve saddled and rode a horse, been on multiple cattle drives, fed cattle in 40 below temperatures, worked cattle in a corral, put up hay in 100 degree temperatures, fixed fence …. you name it … I attended high school at a prestigious private school. I got a College degree. I spent 31 years as a national politic operative, owned my own business and spent 13 years as a police officer.
My interesting life has lead me to the conclusion that the world is made up of cowboys and eggheads. I believe that we should have a few more cowboys than eggheads. Get ready, because you’re about to be pulled into the story of my life……

Retired and Dialed In - with Special Guest Kyle Kasperbauer
In the season 4 finale, retired elite CrossFit athlete Kyle Kasperbauer discusses what he has been doing in the new season of his life that does not involve competition.
He talks about the transition to some of new things that have replaced training time and his same breakfast of 10 years. He talks about his high level of training maintenance. Sam and Kyle discuss motivation versus discipline and the reason why Kyle is maintaining his training.
Kyle talks about his changed role from athlete to a cheerleader and coach of the CrossFit Kinesis team who is competing for CrossFit Games qualification.
They have a conversation about having the mental aspect of competing at the CrossFit games and training CrossFit for all athletes.
They discuss how Sam is competing against Kyle's coaches and elite athletes at CrossFit Kinesis (they don't even know it) and how in some cases is beating them on a regular basis. (THE BIGGEST TEASE IN OUR HISTORY)
