Speaker 1:

Welcome back to the Visionary's Journey. I am your guide, emily Felsigno she her pronouns and this is Season 2. Curious about manifesting? Learn how to re-center on your unique path and manifest your true desires. This season we're manifesting using your spaces your personal, your work and community spaces. In season one, episode nine, I shared my own wiggly path. My intuitive journey inspired me to start my holistic organizing business called Room to Transform. I help you clarify your life vision and reorganize a supportive physical space to jump into new things, jive with new habits and thrive in your next phase of life or career or exciting new hobby. Life is a big experiment and so is this show. We embrace imperfections and learn as we go. Come on, our future selves are cheering us on.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to a little bonus audio clip about taking intuition breaks when you're organizing. So I'm not saying intuitive breaks necessarily those are important but specifically an intuition break. So when you're organizing, you use a lot of physical energy moving things around and you also use a lot of mental energy because you're making a lot of little tiny decisions and you get totally exhausted from it. That's why I only do three hour sessions. It's exhausting for me and it's exhausting for clients and that's why it's important to take breaks. So, just like you take a bio break when you want to go to the bathroom or drink water or have a healthy snack, I like to have brain food snacks around when I'm organizing, like dark berries, blueberries, cherries, anything with antioxidants in it, and nuts like cashews, or we've got avocados or salmon. I like to cook salmon the night before. Anything with omega-3s are also good for the brain. So, alongside of doing a traditional bio break, you want to sit down periodically and check in with your body. When I work with clients, I like to sit down kind of like Queer Eye Style that show where they sit people down in another room and say how are you feeling? What's going through your mind while you're doing this? Just check in with yourself, jot down a couple of notes, because your feelings are valid and you need to acknowledge what's going on for yourself emotionally while you do this.

Speaker 1:

An alternative to problem solving other than using your logical processing thinking brain is accessing your intuition and in order to do that, you have to turn off your thinking brain. Now, I know that's easier said than done, so how you do that is through your body, so you might notice when you're starting to argue with yourself over how to solve this problem, and maybe you just keep getting stumped. Maybe you're overthinking whether to keep something or throw something out. Maybe it's broken, but you have an emotional connection to it. It's hard work, all those decisions are hard work, and it's why a lot of people avoid organizing.

Speaker 1:

So what I want you to do is start to notice how your brain feels. Do you feel like you're starting to get a headache? You want to take a deep breath In and out. You might want to like roar on your next exhale. Just roar, or do a hum. That tends to help you relax too. You might want to just relax your jaw, wiggle your shoulders, relax your hips. Wherever you're holding on to tension in your body, just go through and relax it. Relax your knees maybe you were just like lifting a 50-pound box. Just wiggle it out.

Speaker 1:

Do a little dance, take some deep breaths, just slow down, close your eyes and know that your brain isn't the only part of your body that stores information. You've got neurons in your gut that inform you in your energy field about what to trust and what not to trust. There are a lot of different ways that your body experiences the world, and there's information that stays with you as you walk through life. As you walk through life, if you have a problem that you're trying to solve, say to yourself, with all this knowledge that I have of my space, of my experience in this space, the energy of it, the potential of what it could be, the information in my ideal studio vision, ask your intuition to lead you to the answer to the problem that you're having. Take some deep breaths, in and out. This is an opportunity to be creative. Tell yourself I am open to finding an unexpected solution to this problem. The answer may come quickly or it may come in a dream after a nap. Trust that you have other ways than logical thinking to solve your problem.

Speaker 1:

Meditating is a good way to allow subconscious connections to arrive as creative thoughts in your conscious mind. If you think of your body as having an energetic field around it so about six feet in all directions up and down, forward, back, side to side your energy field has information in it and it collects information from how your feet walk through the world, how your hands swing by your sides, how your hand connects to your brain to like hit a baseball or make an artwork. It's like a stream of consciousness process. You know, you might even sit down and just do an intuitive drawing instead of trying to problem solve logically through an issue. I remember once I was on a phone conversation with somebody and I was telling them a story about how in the movie Up, the house gets pulled up by a hot air balloon. And meanwhile I was doodling and I was making little circles everywhere and I looked down at my paper and I corrected myself. I was like, oh my gosh, no, it wasn't a hot air balloon, it was balloons. So sometimes your hand knows more, more than your brain does. So what I like to do is call a board meeting of all of my information packets and find a solution using your subconscious thoughts.

Speaker 1:

You can pause here and come back for a little check-in. All right, welcome back. How was that? What did you notice? What ideas came up, or even just images, you know, maybe you got visuals or audio or like just a sense of knowing what you should do about an object.

Speaker 1:

Take some notes. The notes might help you make sense of it later in your organizing journey. Something totally random might have come up that doesn't make sense right now. It might make sense to you later up. That doesn't make sense right now. It might make sense to you later, so maybe keep a little journal to track how you feel around this and good luck. Visionary friends, always tell yourself you're doing a good job. You're doing a good job with the information you have right now. Thank you so much for listening. I hope you gleaned some helpful ideas to apply to your own visionary's journey. When you need help taking action to reorganize your spaces around your values, reach out to me at roomtotransformcom.
