OK ASIA
Hey everybody, welcome to another episode of Music Elixir with me, Sarah, and.
Speaker 2Hello everybody, this is DJ Panic.
Speaker 1So, as promised like three weeks ago, I don't even remember we have some new music to talk about we finally.
Speaker 2well, it's taking longer for us to do our weekly reviews or listening. Due to new jobs and new projects. Our new positions need us a lot.
Speaker 1Yeah, they've got us running around doing a lot Meetings up the wazoo, jesus. Oh my God, I have like three meetings a week it's ridiculous.
Speaker 2It's ridiculous, I didn't. I had some. I want to say you only have one meeting this week, but uh, there are changes in my department and then I became my supervisor's assistant for the whole week, so but uh, but I think it's gonna happen.
Speaker 2It's gonna be a frequent thing, which I'm fine. I'm I'm only the admin for two departments, but my supervisor does not need an assistant, but because of what's going on, I don't mind. I love working with her and, uh, you know she's, she's a supervisor, that you know. I tell she asked me what are your tasks, so this is what's going on, what they do you need, and then I can squeeze you. You know, do whatever you know, like we'll work together.
Speaker 2It's not like stop what you're doing you gotta do this now, you know, like I know it could happen, but she's not that kind of person, you know she's. She's very considerate and she just likes to work with everybody, you know, and around everybody's schedule as well.
Speaker 2Oh well, that's cool, you know yeah, no, I'm like, yeah, this is like, this is the kind of supervisor you want, you know, not one with a whip, and it's like you're scared of this person, you know. Yeah, yeah, it's so. I I love working with her oh, that's cool.
Speaker 1Yeah, mine, I just keep getting asked to man the phones and I hate manning the phones because you know, how I am with the phone. Yeah, I hate talking on the phone and they're like ah, we're having some you employment issues. I guess you could call it. Oh, receptionists, they're like oh no, well, not in the sense of they're getting you know fired or anything.
Speaker 1It's just with spring and you know stuff to do people are taking more time off than usual. Okay, and I'm one of those people, like you know. If people ask, I'm like all right, you know, but like I really you got to do reception. I'm not. I was not built to be a receptionist, let's just.
Speaker 2Oh, mg, yeah, for us, for our organization, all admins need to do at least once a week oh, really I'm mine is every two weeks just because of my, uh, my load of work.
Speaker 2I cannot always be there, but if anything happens, they ask but, uh, but I'm like, well, listen, I got this going on so I can't sorry. So, anyways, yes, but you know, sometimes the world with reception, sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's quiet, you know, yeah, it's, it depends. Yeah, I, I, oh, I, it was one that came in that well, anyways, I just wish I was not covering that day, but that's all right.
Speaker 1Anyways, enough of our belly aching of work.
Speaker 2It happens everybody. You all know this is not our real job. It's more like a hobby. We don't get paid to do the podcast. This is something that we love to do.
Speaker 1It's for fun. Yeah, this is our release the weekend release. We, we don't get to talk to each other much during the week anymore, so no, we send each other dms.
Speaker 2Sometimes it's like, oh my goodness, have you seen this tweet?
Speaker 1you know post yeah, or or this reel from instagram oh my god, look at this reel so cute.
Speaker 2Oh, look at our boys cry emojis so yeah oh my goodness, anyways, so we have five songs today.
Speaker 1I know, yeah, that was another reason it took so long. We gotta do them shorter.
Speaker 2It's just we can't, I mean, at least give us each, give each other at least two weeks to listen, just because of our workload.
Speaker 1Yeah, uh, it would be better, but um, they so many, so many new singles coming out I know summer for the spring, yeah, summer I mean, wow, yeah, well, and albums and comebacks and all kinds of stuff, yeah, exactly, eps, concerts, concerts and more concerts.
Speaker 2I've been getting hit from my friend in boston. It's like, hey, so-and-so's coming, so-and-so's coming. I'm like listen, I'm being very, very selected. I'm happy they're coming to boston. Yeah, exactly, but I can't be there all the time. You know she lives not too far. Yeah, so it's like it takes me two hours to go to boston. Yeah, exactly, but I can't be there all the time. You know she lives not too far. Yeah, so it's like it takes me two hours to go to boston, even though I'm in massachusetts, which was relatively a small state, I know but it's still still two hours of time, yeah, oh my god no, my friend is like that too.
Speaker 1She's like someone says coming. I'm like like I really got to curb my concert going.
Speaker 2Yeah, like family, is like ATEEZ.
Speaker 1And I'm like no, and I've already got so many lined up, I'm losing track. So I got to figure out what I'm doing to begin with this month we have two shows.
Speaker 2Yes, we do, I have three Because you're not going to Sims. No, so yeah, I have two shows. Yes, we do, I have three Because you're not going to Sims. No, so yeah, I have that one. The whole week is loaded with music, but we're going to Sunday. We have P1 Harmony.
Speaker 1Yep.
Speaker 2And then later on that week will be Madness, madness, I know.
Speaker 1That's so exciting. It's been like 15 years since they've been over here.
Speaker 2I never seen them live, so I can't wait yeah, I'm excited because they never traveled to puerto rico and even if they went there, my mom will not let me go so yeah anyways. So we're going to start with Mr Kenshi Yonesu with his song Sayonara. I've seen the video. I love him. I just I love the way he performs. I love his singing. Some of his videos are very fun and colorful, and this one is as well. It's colorful, like his song.
Speaker 1You know it's very poppy.
Speaker 2You have the piano and and it's in the way he sings, it's just like very nonchalant that's what I like about it. It's just like all right, yeah, bye, you know it's, it's a happy-go-lucky, even though you say sayonara, um also, uh, it's just, yeah, it's just, it gives me happy feels and um, it's like, I don't know, it's breezy, but the video is not breezy, the video. There's some little chaos in there yeah, it's weird it's.
Speaker 1I'll check it out after I didn't see it it's.
Speaker 2He's wearing this red outfit.
Speaker 1He's wearing this red outfit, power suit. Huh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2Yeah, the whole thing. Yeah, you got to watch it, but the video is completely different vibe as what is on the song. Don't know much of the lyrics, it's just that he's saying goodbye a lot. But I do like the whole breeziness that it has and the happy-go-lucky vibes that it gives because of the like jumping piano, the happy piano and the way that he sings, and sometimes there's a part where he gives like a ha-ha, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2Like what happened. Why is he going like that? I wonder if it's just like um more of a karmatic song yeah, that was. That was sort of the impression I got you know like hey, this is what happens when you mess with me. Karma got you, so you know um. But you know, sayonara, see you bye. Get to stepping boo, how'd you feel.
Speaker 1Well, I liked that, that it was light and airy music. So what you were saying, um, the piano strings, drums, it was all sort of simple, like it wasn't up and down the piano keys, not a lot of drumming, so that you could focus on the sort of husky gruff vocals he's got. He's got a great voice for this style of music and I was saying, yeah, I love that. He sort of goes almost almost two minutes in. It's just this random, like out of nowhere it's.
Speaker 1I got sort of the impression that this is like talking about life, sort of more than directed at a person, it's sort of like sayonara to this episode in my life. That was sort of hectic, annoying, crazy, whatever, what have you you know. It was just sort of like, hey, life goes on. So this is, there's ups, there's downs and you just gotta say farewell to all of it. Just good luck, be on your way, let's start anew. And what I? What I found this sort of was like to me a combination of fuji kaze and vicky blanca, vicky blanca yeah, it was it was like thinking of Kaze too, but I didn't want to, even though they're both genius, I mean, they're both phenomenal.
Music Critique and Analysis
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, Writing, producing, recording, plays multiple instruments. But it was so funny because when I was, you know, after a few listens I was sort of like geez, geez, this is like a mashup of those two artists yes, Just all of them. You know a good, like strong message, but often with a little bit of fun and lightheartedness to it, so that you're not, you know, like, oh, this is so heavy. It was just a really good. My day's not going so great, so I'm going to listen to something just a little like all right yeah, sayonara to my problems.
Speaker 1So, yeah, I enjoyed this one, like I said when I was having a bad moment at work. Yeah, I like the whole, like right it would make a great lounge song.
Speaker 2You know what I?
Speaker 1mean like up tempo it a little do a little more staccato.
Speaker 2You know that he's a pisces as well, oh really yeah he's sass I like it living his villain era.
Speaker 2Yes, oh, I gotta tell you now that you say that I'm gonna give a date, uh, date stamp on today's episode. Okay, may the force be with you. Oh yes, so what I did on? Okay, asia today. I started with darth vader theme song come in I'm like, yes, you're listening to. Okay, asia, I'm starting with a vader sound because, guess what? It seems to be like the pisces villain era, so, of course, why not start the show with that? I went to a rant on that so yeah, so I, so I did that.
Speaker 1So I was so happy. I'm like oh my.
Speaker 2God, yes, may the force, I gotta do that, I gotta do that. It's fitting. Mr Mark was like oh yeah, oh my God, oh my God, so anyways. So yeah, mr Yonesu, you know I like this song, I love his music. He, for a young man, he has like so much like music. He's so like well-rounded musically. It's like he creates some things out there too, like there's an um, um. There's one song that I love of of his flamingo, oh it's, it's also happy lucky, but in a different way. It also has some okay, like happy go lucky dark side to it, oh, okay. So I wonder if this is kind of like that, but it's a little bit different. You know the whole the pisces, that's, that's where I'm only going with that.
Speaker 2You know we love our astrology, but anyways, that's how I feel. We feel about this song happy-go-lucky, but there's something dark to that too.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's a, it's got a little bit of attitude and sass to it like just take bye-bye exactly speaking of sass and attitude, want to introduce the next song. Sure we're gonna talk about sheesh by baby monster, yeah that's an attitude song oh my god, is it ever?
Speaker 2these chickies throwing the attitude like like sharp.
Speaker 1Well, it's definitely. Yeah, like omg one of one of my notes. I'm saying this is sort of like a song to all the haters, like we got y'all going, sheesh, because you don't know what to think about us. You know, there's definitely people who love them, people who are like, oh, they're trying to be like so, and so you know, let us all say it black pink, because they come from the same company you know? Okay, yes, exactly, they all come from.
Speaker 2They're already getting that. You know, it's like I'm like pinball, why? And now you have baby monster and I'm like you know the. The ladies are trying to, you know, be artists, put themselves out there exactly give you a point, you know and they're all. They're very talented group. They're very talented the voices, some of the melodic sides, yeah, yeah, I'm like wow yeah they're definitely, and I don't know one of these chickies doing the rap. I'm like, wow, spitting fire.
Speaker 2I mean spitting fire, and congratulations with the tood you know, the vibes are strong I mean, they're just strong, ladies and it's so poppy too, Especially with the sheesh sheesh, you know.
Speaker 1I just want to go like mm. Mm.
Speaker 2B-a-b-y-m-o n. Yeah, I like like whoever's doing the low voice. Yeah, uh, tell a friend, tell a friend like it's really getting you in your head right there they know what they're doing, and then the whole chorus. I love it. I'm like yes love it.
Speaker 1Well, it's definitely. It's sort of hip-hoppy, with the rap, a little sort of bollywood sound going on in it. There's, um, actually that ending with their sort of weird little fun house eerie chanting with the b-a-b-y-m-o-n telephren telephren yeah that's.
Speaker 1I love that. It's like. It's sort of like they're standing over a cauldron casting a spell b-a-b-y-m-o-n. Telephren, telephren, but like there's a. There's a lot going on, sound wise. Yes, very intricate music in the background and it sort of starts out you know certain cadence and then it just sort of revs up when they go into the chorus. So, you know, going well, sheesh, and you're like, oh man, here's the attitude. Here's where they're like yeah, you got, you got nothing to say. But sheesh, well, that's on you. You know what I mean. They've got talent. They're definitely pulling out all the guns to be like here we are you know, don't compare us to anybody, we're our own artists. But yeah, they've got that sort of like clock or metronome to go in right before that fun house stuff.
Speaker 1That's sort of like I don't know Twilight Zone, yeah, yeah, but it's awesome. I love, love the attitude on this and, like, like we were saying, you know people are giving them crapola all over the place. Yep, and all of these artists, you know, when you're under the same company umbrella, you're working with the same. We've talked about other groups, other entertainment groups, where there's like a sound. Yeah, they know what works, everybody gets it.
Speaker 2They're using the same producers, they're using the same mixologists, they're using the same people, you know.
Speaker 1Songwriters.
Speaker 2Even so, of course you're gonna, you know you're gonna because you know yg has a sound, just like sm also has a sound. Our star took. You know, italians also have a sound yeah, exactly age.
Speaker 2You know all these companies exactly have a sound to distinguish from every other company. So, yeah, if it comes out, you know, like these, you know baby monster, you know black pink. And then baby monster, even hello 21, when I was 21 was like my girls all right, they're also from yg. Then black pink comes around. I'm like, well, somebody wants to 20. You know, that was me, that was me. And I'm like, well, somebody wants to revive 21. So how come you cancel my girls and then you have these new girls? Yes, I was one of those fans, but you know, I learned to love black pink and then I was thinking hello lady, god, remember, they come from yg and that's their sound Exactly.
Speaker 1You know, and it's not, it's not identical, it's, it's similar, right you can hear. But I mean they definitely they have their own attitude, their own presentation for this Right you know. So you got to cut them some slack people. Exactly, Some people were like every time I turn on my youtube they pop up with sheesh and I'm like really. So I tried going up to my youtube account. I'm like I don't see it what are you talking about?
Speaker 1people are like it's the first thing that comes up. I'm like no, it's oh geez, and just. They got shit for one of their performances. Everyone's like they're too young to be acting that sexy. I'm like okay.
Speaker 2They're always like that Always.
Speaker 1Yeah, I didn't see the performance so I don't know. But hey, whatever, just give them a chance. It's a fun song, it is, and it's another good one when you're having a bad day, exactly you know what.
Speaker 2Hey you're all gonna be saying sheesh. I like the ending yeah, oh, yeah like they're juggling. So let's cool down my friend. Let's go with our next couple because well they're not a couple, no, but okay duo, duet, duet, duet, duet. I guess yeah yeah, it's a duet. Okay, it's still two couple you want to introduce it? Oh yes, it will be nisi and sky high with the song stormy you love that song?
Speaker 1well, because I love both of them. They they're amazing artists, great vocals, oh yeah, yeah, they complement each other awesomely. Yes, so this is. Did you want to go first or you want me to go first? No, go ahead, all right. So I love the way it opens. It sounds so epic, right. It's sort of like this classical opus of haunting, ethereal sound and then all of a sudden it becomes this like bass and drum driven vocal rap anthem. It's sort of crazy how it opens. They've got all kinds of sounds going on in here. You've got the classic like record scratch, and there's just the way their voices work. Together is just great. Like I said, I love them individually, yeah, but together it's. It's sort of this weird like disco meets hip-hop meets rap, meets classic. They threw all all whatever's poppy in there, just threw it in sky high, was like all right, I want this.
Speaker 1I want that exactly because, I'm sure he had a lot to do with the what I. What's going on the?
Speaker 2two words I put down was very pop because they threw all those rhythms and sounds that it just well, it's gonna get you moving yeah it's got that weird like squeakyinet or trumpet.
Speaker 1I'm not sure what it was, but it's like In the background. You're like, what is that? So it really is very catching. Yes, and it's another one that has sort of that sinister sneaky creeping around, sound to it, around, sound to it, and what I sort of got from this, because in english they they say jealousy, energy benefit such a crazy game. So this is to me sort of like, uh, talking about interactions and relationships of people, either professionally, business-wise or personally yeah like that.
Speaker 1You know, as when you're dealing with other people, sometimes you're jealous, sometimes you work off their energy, sometimes you benefit from what they're doing and sometimes you just like go the freak away from me. So I really sort of felt like this was just these personal interactions that they're talking about and like just how crazy it can all get and the way they do it. You know they sort of go back and forth with a jealousy energy benefit. Such a crazy game. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know. So it was just. This was a, a good sort of power song where you just like, yeah, oh, yeah, yes, I loved it, loved it apparently the song was released for a um anime oh, that makes sense let me see if I can find some info.
Speaker 2The song was released on april 17th. Let's see. Okay, I found a bit of a snippet here on a website called jpop wiki. Jpop wiki says that stormy is an upcoming digital single by nisi and sky high to be released on april 17th. Uh, it will be the featured as the theme song for blue lock, the movie episode nagi, to be premiered on april 19th. Uh, the song was announced at nice in onisi's fan club members only. Event 10th anniversary and that's it.
Speaker 1So it's for like an episode of the the anime, right, okay, not a theme song, but just in some background music. Huh, exactly interesting so that's cool.
Speaker 2Yeah, so apparently there's gonna be a movie for blue, uh, blue log. Blue log is the movie episode nagi, so there's gonna be a more episode movie style for this anime. But anyways, for this anime is gonna be uh nisi and sky high, so congratulations to them. Cool, yeah, hopefully it gets here in the state and people will hear it and get more popularity, because that's what happens.
Speaker 2You know a lot of these songs get yellow, so he's one of them. Why they became so popular. Hello an anime. It got so popular. Everybody got just so hooked on that song. That's how we learned well, before the internet. Yeah, that's how we learn about these groups exactly. You know, like if, if the anime reached the united states and we get to hear it, we're like, oh my god, we love this song. We love this song. Who is this? Who is this? You know?
Speaker 2exactly, and that's why we say it anyway we always make a group, you know, or a solo artist yeah, so now we know why it's so crazy. Anyway, we always make a group, you know, or a solo artist, yeah, so now we know why it's so crazy.
Speaker 1What did you think of this song? I did my little.
Speaker 2It's for me. It's very poppy. I was cool with it. I mean nothing like I did. It didn't, it didn't jump out at you. No, I did like the la la la's in this, but it was OK. It was poppy, it's not like oh, this song, gotta skip it. No, I listened to it. No problem. But it's not one that I'll put in a playlist, but I don't mind listening to it. That's how I'm going to categorize it.
Speaker 1You know Well, apparently they're going to be performing it at Sky High's Dunk Extravaganza.
Speaker 1I saw that it's happening right now so probably by the time this airs, it'll have ended. But Dunk is his dance universe never killed project of trying to do exactly what you were saying with anime? Yes, of trying to do exactly what you were saying with anime? Yes, is he's trying to globally present as many artists as he can in a dancing and vocalizing way in this setting at I think it's the kaisera dome yes what's really cool is he's got a lot of people involved in this.
Speaker 1There's artists from starto, there's artists from 2b, yes, and then, of course, he's got his own little company going on, so featuring a lot of his his artists. But, um, yeah, both sky high and nissi are going to be, nissi are going to be performing as well, you know, and it's like with special guests, like you know who that is? Yeah, each other, exactly, but it's awesome.
Asian Artists and New Music Discussion
Speaker 2So so that's cool if you you know I, we've been seeing this trend this year a lot of artists from different companies collaborating with each other. Which is exactly how you get global attention and also different Asian artists collaborating with each other and that is awesome? No, definitely. We had that on Coachella. We saw that on 88 Rising. That was their main thing. That's what they want to do Put all these amazing Asian artists on the one roof and also collaborating with each other. Um, and then now this you know brainstorm from mr sky high.
Speaker 1You know, like let's do this yeah, well, because he started this project sometime last year he was he had it in the works and trying to, you know, organize everything. So it's cool, it's definitely awesome.
Speaker 2The man's always busy, he's always doing something, he's always on something. Oh yeah, this is one that we're like when do you sleep? When do you sleep, man? You know, he's just always doing stuff Always.
Speaker 1He's got vision and energy and he just runs with it. Runs with. He's got vision and energy and he just runs with it.
Speaker 2Runs with it, yes, like no holding back, raising another one that we think, or I think, that the song that we have listened to that is also running and trying to get also popular in the industry and media. It's a song that we're going to talk about right next which is psychic fever, love fire love fire when I first heard it.
Speaker 2I was like is this another love song? Because you know very uh r&b and like has some sultriness in it too. And then I'm like, hmm, but I'm hearing instagram and tiktok tv media and I'm like, well the well, how that love fire goes into the tiktok and the x. You know, like twitter, x it. It was giving some english lyrics that it didn't sound like it was going to be romantic but it's looking into. I did peek at the lyrics because it was confusing to me. It sounded more like their love fire for entertaining, but then having their fans is more their love fire. They're doing this for the love of their fans.
Speaker 2So that's what I'm taking the take out of this song with the vocals omg, this group have some amazing vocals. This is one I kept on repeat because it was that, oh, it's just the way that they sound together amazing. So, yeah, it's sultry, oh my goodness, I don't know, it's very melty. And also the the cadence that had the song you know sometimes was smooth and then it was like upbeat and then smooth again and then upbeat, like it's always get you like up and down, up and down. It's like going with the wave.
Speaker 1Yay, it was really good, it was really good. Yeah, it was definitely r&b soul, a little bit of disco oh, yeah, a little bit of club, as you were saying. Really smooth sound, really smooth vocals. Um, it was energetic but sultry. Yes, like you, definitely you move to it, but it's not hyper, so you, so you move sort of in a you know sexy way I guess is how you would say it. You know, you're sort of just slow moving, not not hyper dancing.
Speaker 1Parts of it gave me sort of the late 70s, early 80s, futuristic synth because, they got that synth in the background doing oh yeah some crazy, you know, up and down, but just awesome though the whole construction of the song is really really cool I sort of got the impression that they're like I don't need things, because they also at one point say diamond ring, sports car money, something you make me stronger. There was something in between there that I don't know, and I heard the Instagram TikTok you make me stronger. Yeah, like there was something in between there that I don't know but and I heard the Instagram tick tock. So I was sort of thinking like, yeah, they're saying I don't need all of these material things, I don't need all of this stuff posted on social media to just feel the love fire that you give me. You know what I mean.
Speaker 1Like you're, you're what's got me burning, not not the fame, not the the notoriety, none of that it's. It's just about us yep, and whether that's us is the fans, you know whatever. But that was that's sort of how I came away from it, sort of feeling like this is all about the interaction between everybody, as opposed to not so much romantic, but just I just need the love fire burning so that I can keep going. I don't know, yeah, Don't need all this stuff. Right, to sort of feel good about who I am, what I'm doing and you know. Feel good about you and what you're doing, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1So, yeah, but jimmy, jimmy's vocals, huh, I mean everybody, everybody, definitely Everybody's vocals, you can pick him out for some reason, right.
Speaker 2That, jimmy Jeez, I know he's your fave, I know.
Speaker 1So I had to be like hey, I know he's full of surprises too.
Orbit's Money Bag Cypher Reflection
Speaker 2Oh jeez, Anyways, Want to go on with our final single to talk about yes, which is our fave, and it's not because of the group, but we do love the group, but we're very, very happy and I'm proud because apparently, okay, a little bit um this, so the fandom might as well say the name Earth sent me a quick blur or information about this song. Oh, really, yes, because they were so happy and excited that I played this song when it got released, because they were worried that I was not going to be able to play it.
Speaker 1Yeah, no, it came out like, I think, on a Friday, right, so you were all set to play it.
Speaker 2But no, it came out like, I think, on a friday, right, so you were yeah you were all set to have it on exactly so, but so they were kind of worried, like they didn't, you know, they didn't know if I was able to play it or not, but I'm like, yeah, I was able to. The name of the song it. Well, actually, before I go into that, they gave me a little bit of information on this song. Okay so the song was originally composed and rapped by the Korean members.
Speaker 1I wrote that down. It's Jun and Yoon Dong.
Speaker 2Yes, and then, now that we're all together, they had revamped the song and each member wrote, and of rap, their own lyrics, I'm like. So they were very happy and they're proud of them. I'm proud of them too, because this is really good it is, it's a grabber it's really, it's a. It's a good cipher it's a good cipher you know it's.
Speaker 2Uh, so we are talking about orbit's money bag seventh version, because there's another one seventh version, so each member is out there doing their thing. The cool thing also is that they also rap on their own language.
Speaker 1Oh, okay, yeah, yeah, that makes sense.
Speaker 2Yeah, Right, Because there were some times I'm like, well, that doesn't sound like Japanese, and then it goes to Korean and then it goes. It was another language in there, Because one of the members it's they're not, they do another language. I forgot. I'm sorry, but you know they each rap on their own language Awesome, so that is so cool. And of course, I get to hear my little Hugo. His voice is completely different when he's rapping.
Speaker 2I'm like where's Hugo? And I'm like, no, that's not Hugo. I'm like, is it Hugo? What it's so different? I'm, oh, my god, the man is coming out. Where's my baby? I want my baby back. But, um, yeah, this awesome hip-hop cypher, they are just all into it doing you know, bringing out their own flavor to the song. I'm just very proud.
Speaker 1It's just, I'm just a very proud mama that's all I have to say and you know, each delivery is so different, it's awesome anyways see, I thought it was called um money bag seven version because it was all seven of them right, okay, I thought you said it was like the seventh version well, that's what they put money back seven vr yeah, seven version. Yeah, so, because it was seven of them instead of seven version.
Speaker 2Oh okay, I thought you were saying it was the seventh. No, oh, money back seven.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, okay all right, because I was like, wow, they have seven versions of this.
Speaker 2That's the name they put on them. Okay, Because I'm like wait a minute?
Speaker 1What so? Anyways, yes, hip hop club dance, it's got everything. I love that Boop boop boop yeah.
Speaker 1Boop, just the music sounds. It's sort of funny because I mean, the song is called Money Bag, so you're like listening to it going hmm, okay, that's that boop boop sound reminded me of you know, when you're counting out your change. So I had this vision in my head of when you're separating your money and it makes different sounds because different coins, different size, different weight, different whatever. So I was like, oh, counting out the money, all right, I love. Yeah, everybody, everybody did great with their parts. Everybody has they have their own style, their own voice. It's just so cool.
Speaker 1But what I, what I sort of took from this song is it's sort of a reflection of their position as artists. Yeah, like they're the moneymaker, they're the gold brick bringing in the cash for the big company, and they're they're just sort of talking about you know, like there's somewhere in there they say mask off, mask on. Yeah, sort of talk about you know you have to be this persona and work it to bring in the money, bring in that money, money, money somewhere in there, that, as you wish, master, that electronic voice and something about logging in. But I I found it kind of interesting because this is really sort of a departure of sound for them. Oh yeah, you know what I mean. Like it's like oh yeah, this is so cool, so awesome. So you know, just bring your money bag, I'll pop it full of cash. I think, yeah, it's really sort of like a statement about being an artist.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1And what's expected of you? Fill it full of dirty cash well, you know they're.
Speaker 2They're always portrayed as the pretty group a pretty group, you know you know, just seeing this just you know, that's what ecstatic idling is all about you know there's some, there are, you know the, the, the pretty group, you know look, or the hip-hop look, which is totally different. You know, like, uh, psychic fever is different. Their look are so different. Yes, they're different companies, but if you look at the, the look, you know as uh, per orbit, which is you know the more tailored, you know costumes yes not everything baggy and loose and chains.
Speaker 2And well they have chains, well they have, but um, but different. You know the big chunky chains like hip-hop, you know. Uh, so it's like the prissy looking.
Speaker 1Well, they've got boys with the makeup plus, not the rough, looking more urban so everybody's got the the short hair and the right clean cut sort of look, even though they're wearing those right harnesses and weirdness.
Speaker 2So so the pretty look, let's say, um, so this song, you know, if you take out all the, the costume, the pretty costume, you know, the tailor costume, the couture, let's say, let's say couture, it's, it's like wow, you can, you know, picture them in the hip-hop. You know the urban, you know style, right, it's like we're not just only pretty guys, we can also wrap it and just like be, you know, on your face and give you attitude. It's like that's awesome. So that's why I'm so proud of them, because they can be versatile, right?
Music Fans Discuss Artists
Speaker 1Yeah, no, when I first heard this, I was like, oh my gosh, this is so different. Yeah, and this is when you can tell that they're finally all together as a group. You're like they're finally all together as a group. You're like they're complete because they're they're branching out with sound, they're experimenting and and finding their, their voice and their style together. Yep, and I love the fact that two of them wrote it, yeah, and just sort of like all right, everybody, let's collaborate on this, get it going, roll it out, you'll get your lyrics in there too, which is awesome.
Speaker 1Yes, this was my favorite, just because it was so I don't know it grabs you. It really does. There's just so much going on with it, All of their different voices, and they all make it work, Because some of them I was like I don't know is he really going to be able to rap. But it's there and it's awesome.
Speaker 2It's like I'm not just only a melodic voice. I can rap too. It's like I'm bringing it. That's awesome.
Speaker 1And it's cool because they've been doing a bunch of little live performance like appearance things recently, and so I watched one the other day you did on their channel or on their youtube channel I was like oh, you know, I want to. I want to see all of them together, to just be in them, and it was so funny.
Speaker 2Shunya, I don't know, he's crazy yeah, which one did you saw the one that they were at osaka? I'm not sure they were, except some I saw one.
Speaker 1It was like three days ago, four days ago maybe that's the one I just saw there were.
Speaker 2Is that one of the uh venues? I think so. Yeah, okay, shunya is the blonde the blonde yeah, he looks like I'm like boo. What's going on with you? He looks like I'm so tired of this, like he was tired that day yeah, he looked like he's been busy.
Speaker 1He's been working yeah, but he's always so crazy yeah, because, like some of the you know, they've been doing a lot of promotional stuff lately and Tomo was walking down the hall with his phone, talking to everybody, just being like hey, I'm so gorgeous. And Shunya came up behind him and was like hyper boy, he has too much energy.
Speaker 2Well, she feels salty because, because tom was the most popular one, which he was are the ones to run out first uh, he did a vote because he had that blonde hair for a while.
Speaker 1Yeah, like he did a thing asking everybody what do you like better, blonde or black? I did, like the blonde, I did too, but apparently everybody else didn't. What? Yeah, the voting when I looked at it it was like 28% like the blonde and the rest were.
Speaker 2Come on, I know when was that voting when we were there. I will be on top of that and I'm like, yes, with the blonde Keep it the first thing I said when he appeared with it.
Speaker 1I I texted you.
Speaker 2I was like he looked great he did.
Speaker 1He's one of those good blonde yeah, he well, I just think he looks good, no matter what he does, he's just you love him you don't care. Well, he's such a handsome young man he really is doesn't matter what he does with his hair. He's like the middle short.
Speaker 2Did you have you seen that?
Speaker 1we have my baby yugo.
Speaker 2He's the shortest, yes. Then everybody else seems to be the same height, and then tomo's like a little bit shorter. Maybe that's why they put tomo and yugo together when they do photos. I'm like our boys are together. That looks so good. They got my heart, yes. So you know, I know our faves. They work well together. The other five are just like. How about us?
Speaker 1as with every idol group, everybody's got their, their appeal, and they're now.
Speaker 2We're liking shunya because he's sassy and he's a brat.
Speaker 1We can tell he's the brat of the group, like the joker too, you know he's. He's a brat pranking everybody all the time or something.
Speaker 2The brat of the group he's the shunya that, and you know now we're gonna have a soft spot for him because he's a brat and we love our brats.
Speaker 1Yeah, definitely like I said, he just he looks like he's busy all the time, he's working all the time, so he's just like uh, I'm gonna tell you how it is. And he puts on that whiny voice back in the day when nino was tired or exasperated with something, he got all oh my goodness, so so yeah, I can see that.
Speaker 2Yeah, I saw that video too. I'm like what's wrong? With you I'm like, and I'm like, go take a nap I don't remember who it was.
Speaker 1One of them was doing like the push-ups on the corner of the deck. Yeah, like I forget who it was but I need to study them more.
Speaker 2I was like what's going on? It's a yeah, they're getting their pecs out there. I know what they're doing. They're plumping themselves up for the audience.
Speaker 1Before they go out.
Speaker 2Yeah, but it's, one of our boys does that all the time. That's why we're like actually two of our boys do that all the time before they go on stage just to get that the plumpness. They know what they're working the post-workout plumpness?
Speaker 1Yes, we're like. Hey, are you talking about our boy who's allergic to fabric?
Speaker 2Yes, yes, I miss him so much.
Speaker 1He's coming back soon.
Speaker 2Yeah, I've been seeing things little by little.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2He's like don't worry, I'm getting myself ready. I'm like oh, I miss you, boo, but we're going to be seeing one of his you know brothers in Boston. Yes, definitely Awesome, Okay, Anyways.
