Speaker 1:

Hey everybody, welcome to another Music Elixir episode. Pull up a chair and join the conversation with me, sarah and Miss Panic.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know, I always make some sort of I like that Sarah likes to do some type of fanfare for me.

Speaker 1:

You know, fair for me, you know. Perfect too, since we're in our villain era for another till next year, like another four months, yeah okay early 2025 was was our villain extension.

Speaker 2:

So so we were in a eclipse in pisces? Let me tell you, yes, we were well, in full moon.

Speaker 1:

It was full moon with an eclipse. I mean, yeah it was.

Speaker 2:

There was some my emotions were haywire. Even family's besties emotions was haywire.

Speaker 2:

They were like depressed really they were like, like I'm on a ride, I don't know what to do. I'm like, I'm like I'm saying to family, okay, you know, I'm asking questions of, like, what are they doing, you know, to get themselves in? Um, they haven't cleaned their room in a while. So I'm like, yeah, that's stagnant energy they need. They need to clean their room in a while. So I'm like, yeah, that's stagnant energy they need, they need to clean their room. I said to, I said to family, tell your friend, tell your bestie, that they need to make three piles one for things that they love, one some things that are broken and one's from things to donate, and then you'll, they'll find out, you know things that they were like. So, anyway, so they took the advice and family were you know that they started doing that. They found things that they forgot they had.

Speaker 2:

I'm like see, yeah, and things that were actually broken and they just put to the side. And I'm like, how do they feel now? It's like they feel amazing. I'm like, there you go. They just needed to sort, sort your things, personal things out so they can like oh wait a minute, I forgot I had this, oh, I have that, and you know. So they organize themselves and they feel, feel, much better.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I try to like just take one. You know I have piles of stuff or I have a bag that I just, you know, oh crap, got to get this out of the way real quick, so you throw it all in there and then you forget about it. So what I've been doing is grabbing those piles and like, because you know just, clothes that you've thrown on top of each other over and over, oh, I don't want to fold them, but they're clean, I'll just throw them over here. Yeah, somebody calls it like your chair closet. They Somebody calls it like your chair closet. They're like you don't take it off the chair and put it, so it's your closet of clothes on a chair, right, so I'll just, I'll grab one pile or one bag and sort through it and just that's enough to make you feel like you've sort of made some steps to getting things cleared up. You know it just just. It gives you a sense of accomplishment because you're like it's only one bag and even if it's all I do all week, it's one thing I've cleared out and figured out exactly.

Speaker 1:

Why was I hanging on to this anyways, like why did I throw it in the bag? I should have just thrown it in the trash. So, yeah, no, definitely just folding your clothes and putting them away or hanging a few things in the closet, just one action, can make you feel lighter about things, because you're like, wow, all right, I got that surface cleared off or I got that space organized. So yeah, it definitely makes a difference. It's weird because I did feel it was more related to work, sort of like. I was like, oh, how am I gonna do all this? Do I even know what I'm doing? Like self-doubt, right. But then you know, my boss and I had a meeting and I got this glowing review.

Speaker 2:

So I was like, oh, all right, I guess I'm doing good yeah, the same thing with what I'm doing at work too, like I'm some sorting some things out as well. And you know one feature that I think every computer has I don't know if apple computers do, but I know that just, uh, any windows will have the post-it note. Oh, yeah, yeah. So I'm like, why do I keep forgetting about this feature? Because every time I open my computer it's right there tasks to do, things to do. Have you done that? And I just take it out of the post-it instead of just using paper, because sometimes with those you it's like you, you have too many of them.

Speaker 2:

And yeah, last in the shuffle and it gets cray cray and I'm like, no, I can't do this. And I'm like, hello on the computer. And then cool thing is that you can pick a color. So I have a nice pink one so you can customize it. And I'm like, oh, my god, it's so awesome. So I've been doing that and, uh, it's been helping. So every time that my boss says something, I'm like, hold on, I'll note it. Okay, now put a date what I need to do, and then I'll just tackle it.

Speaker 1:

I'm like, yes, I don't really use that because I don't have. I don't have future tasks, so, per se, everything I do, like I get information, I have to deal with it right away. So know, except for a few things that people give me ahead of time. But I just have a folder with little flags, okay, and I write the date on the flag, right. So when I look at the folder I'm like, oh wait, today I have to do those, you know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, oh my God, I did that a lot. Flag this.

Speaker 1:

No, doesn't have this, this and this. Why is that?

Speaker 2:

because, oh, you mean back in the day when you were, yeah, yeah, with the consumers.

Speaker 2:

Oh my, god which ones were like not in it, and I sent emails and I put them inside the folder and it's like, yeah, this is what's going on and how come it's not getting paid. I'm like they're because of this, and when I'm not here, you can find all the problems right here. They're all right here and on the open. I'm not saving anything or hiding anything. These are issues. This is what's going on, yeah, and yes, I have tackled it. It's inside the folder, so don't be. Anyways, thank you for listening for so much task. Well, I told everybody to pull up their chair and join the conversation so they can think about their day at work, and then we'll get into something else that'll take their mind off of it. Right, if you do work in an office setting, what do you do? Do you use to remind yourself to do tasks? I've been lately. I've been using the sticky note from.

Speaker 2:

You know feature in the uh in the windows computer for my, for my job before it was something else, but you know, so that's what I'm doing right now, so that's cool. And of course, we use the uh google a lot. Google office is like major thing over there and I love it. People are like how can you be so efficient? I'm like hello, google has everything for you, anything you need, and if you do not understand it, you there's tutorials yeah, just go for it.

Speaker 1:

They have their own tutorials built into the program, exactly. And if you don't trust that, go to youtube.

Speaker 2:

They have tutorials for everything exactly, and then you can find somebody that you can vibe. That's the cool thing I like about that. You go to youtube. You're like you look at different videos right, not everybody. You'll be like, well, that's not going to help me. And then you keep looking, you keep looking.

Speaker 1:

You'll be like you do that, yeah, no, there's like 30 seconds and I'm like you are not going to help me exactly, yeah yeah, exactly, you can tell by the way they start presenting it. You're like nope, you're just going to confuse me more.

Speaker 2:

Exactly Right, Exactly. That's why I love about that too.

Speaker 1:

Well, because, you know, not everybody learns the same way. Yep, not everybody comprehends the same way. So if you have someone who's just like, well, I'm going to show you the most and you're like, all right, you're already too wordy, just get into telling me what, because too many Get to the point.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, too many words, you're going to lose me. I mean I zone out if I'm not yes, you're going to lose me. I mean I zone out if I'm not yes, if I'm not interested in the subject. It's sort of like this slow hum starts to happen yes, and I completely tune out what I'm supposed to be, exactly yeah. So if someone's not getting to the point and not being direct about what they're talking about, right, I sort of get lost in space.

Speaker 1:

And then when they're like so, does anybody have a question, I'm like oh, I got loads because I didn't even listen, but I can't say that. Right, and that's the problem at work with some of the meetings we've been having. I'm like this isn't what I do and I know I need to understand what it is. But if I don't even know where it's coming from to begin with, you explaining it to me doesn't help, because I'm like well, why do I need that Me? And the developer even was like well, why do you do it that way? And I was like thank God, because I thought I was crazy. I was like I know, I don't know the program, seriously Like that.

Speaker 1:

I thought I was crazy. I was like I know, I don't know the program, right, seriously, like that's ass backwards, whatever you're doing Exactly. And even my boss was like, well, yeah, it sort of is, because I was like I don't know they lost me.

Speaker 2:

Oh, my God yeah.

Speaker 1:

But part of it was also because I was like everybody just drones on and on, girl.

Speaker 2:

I went into the seminar for mass health. This doesn't help, oh, all them yo. Those are bad, it was a seminar for all the you know aging services, you know yeah it's mass act. Yeah, mass aging access. Whoa, they haven't done one in like five years because pandemic happened, and then now they just decided to do one.

Speaker 1:

So I could have done them on zoom whatever okay, girl, please.

Speaker 2:

I was like looking to see if I see anybody from the old company and I'm like there's nobody here, I guess, but they're not I was weird, but I but you have to pick seminars.

Speaker 2:

There's like four talks on each, I don't know. Okay, so it went well for school and one care, which I don't know why they did that, because then they're gonna be changing it, but in 2026. So I'm like this was a waste of time. I could have just done something else. I should have gone to another talk, uh. Then I went to another one.

Speaker 2:

Uh, let's say, the head, the, the head of the department for the program got sassy oh really, yo I bet I can guess which program maybe not uh, I don't know, maybe not say, but anyways, yeah, the person got sassy, that well I'm, I'm with one new employee, you know, and you know she's with me, and she's like I don't know what to do. And I'm like, oh cool, there's some talks that actually will benefit you while you're in the department, so we'll go to that talk. And she asked me it's like yo, he was not happy, who is that? And I'm like, oh, this is so, and so, yeah, if you're gonna ask him questions, you better come in proper or you will be hearing, you will be experiencing the sharp edge of his tongue.

Speaker 1:

Whoa, take you down a few pegs. Hey, well, is it? Is it because he's not happy with his own job, or is it because people are not receptive to what he's saying?

Speaker 2:

there was a question asked. I don't want to get too into that, oh, no, no, there was a question asked and then basically, uh, this person told that person that they were not really doing their job okay you know, also obviously okay, so then, okay, so then I'm trying to think of how you know.

Speaker 2:

There was somebody else who asked the same question differently and he was like you need to do this and this and this. And then another person asked the same question differently. It was the same question differently four times. Then the first person who asked that question went back and said well, you didn't really answer my question At that point. He had a phone phone. He threw it on the table and then his boss got up and said well, let me take this one oh my god I'm telling you.

Speaker 1:

I'm like yo well did the people asking the question? Because did you not hear what the other person just asked? Just because you ask it in a slightly different way doesn't change the answer.

Speaker 2:

The thing is that they wanted a specific timeline and they were not giving that specific timeline. Well there's, we're not talking about this, but you know.

Speaker 1:

Anyways, I'm talking in general yeah yeah, you know the space of the world. There's times where people do they ask, everybody's asking the same question and you're like, are you not listening to what I'm saying? Like you know, and there aren't always absolutes, sometimes there are. I mean when you have a definite like expiration date on something, or you know right but even then those think about food. They say, you know, expires august 20th. It doesn't mean if you eat it on the 21st that you're gonna get sick or kill. You know what I mean.

Speaker 2:

So yeah, tell that to family. This expires today.

Speaker 1:

Like it's never been open yeah, it should be fine, not to me if you open it, it's a seven days before the expiration date.

Speaker 2:

that, yes, it might be, you know not not good to consume, but it's never Open it and eat it Like eat it. It's fine.

Speaker 1:

My sister's like that. She'll be like this isn't expires today. I'm like, yeah, so it's still good till the end of the day, especially if it hasn't been opened. What do you think happened to it? It's brand new. Yeah, I don't understand that. I'm like it'll still be good tomorrow too. Exactly. It's just you know, it doesn't mean it instantly goes bad at midnight.

Speaker 2:

You know there's a condition out there fear of food poisoning. Well, I mean, I guess, yeah, there's pretty much.

Speaker 1:

There's a condition out there fear of your food poisoning well, I mean, I guess, yeah, there's pretty much, there's fear of everything.

Speaker 2:

So I forgot the name of I find some probably long ass name, but anyway, there is. There is a fear for that. Oh, wow, okay, well, let's talk about music.

Speaker 1:

I know now this is turning to be a crazy ransom rambling on something.

Speaker 2:

Uh, oh, so anyways, thank you everybody. Yeah, if anybody goes, we like to talk about this, things like this, because I know some of you do actually experience the same thing or know of somebody who is the same way. Yes, we, we have the same experience.

Speaker 1:

This is what makes it a conversation and relatable. You start one place and then you end up somewhere else. Like us, we're going to end up in music.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, and I'm sure some of your favorites have the same issues that we just you know. Maybe later on they'll reveal. I have a fear of this.

Speaker 1:

I don't eat anything after this.

Speaker 2:

People are like you eat it on the day and expire right.

Speaker 1:

There's some people out there just freaking out ew and I'm like it's never been open it's brand new, I tell you, probably you have the same thing like older generations, like our grandparents, and stuff the things they would. Like my grandmother. The tomato would be squishy and brown on one side. She just cut all the bad. The tomato's still good, you can eat it. I'm like no that tomato is not okay and cheese just cut the mold off. I'm like are you kidding Grandma? But they grew up in a different time where that's what you did.

Speaker 2:

Exactly no food wasted, oh yeah, oh yeah, that's true, oh man yeah.

Speaker 1:

I remember, yeah, and you know what I took some tips from that too.

Speaker 2:

Well, there's certain things you can yeah. And you know what. I took some tips from that too.

Speaker 1:

Well, there's certain things you can.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, all right, anyway, see we get thinking topic to topic, but we're going to do some music and so people are still going back to like depression times, you know, still thinking like that, you know? Oh, speaking of, I just saw this guy who goes camping and he's been dehydrating his soup. Oh, that's interesting, that's pretty cool, yeah. So I think his wife made something with chicken, some type of chicken soup, and it's kind of cool because when it's dehydrated it looks like a big old flatbread. Oh, yeah, yeah. So he eats it, but and it crackles and I'm like what is that? And he's like it's chicken, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like it's a chicken soup, what? And then he's like, well, let me proceed to how to do it. It probably tastes better if you put water. I'm like, ah, and I'm like, oh, that's cool. Again, survival mode, yeah, depression time, people dehydrate everything. So I'm like, hmm, awesome, interesting.

Speaker 2:

Okay, let's talk about music. Oh, so on, ok, asia, on, let's say, september 28th, which is the day that we are recording. I talked about the ABCZ jigsaw song that we talked about. So on air, I talked about it. So I do know. So, people, hey, we talk about this song for friends, for fans that are out there. One of the fans was like oh my god, so she went over check out the episode. Then she started retweeting it out there.

Speaker 2:

It's like there's gonna talk about them then this time blah blah, blah and this and that this is so cool and I'm like oh so, thank you to that fan. Um, what else? So I'm I'm glad that people are enjoying the way that we're doing the music reviews people I enjoyed it and our little reactions, yes.

Speaker 1:

So I guess we're gonna keep going like this for a while well, that was something you know we can either discuss later, because there were two new things that came out. I wasn't sure if we're doing it reaction way or, if you wanted to actually like, dig our teeth into them uh, let's do the reaction way.

Speaker 2:

Which one are you thinking? Well, you know, no, I don't know. You tell me, you know, there's a few new ones that came out that I'm like I want this one, this one and this one.

Speaker 1:

Well, this, was like album drops. Oh so you know who I'm talking about. There's two actually. Yeah, that's what I said. There's two because both of them we've talked about other songs from, because they did them as singles. So we've already talked about that. But there's enough on the rest of the album to do a deep dive as opposed to a reaction, right? So I was gonna ask you what you thought of that, because it's been a while.

Speaker 1:

You can see the little stopwatch over panic's head going tick tick, tick tick because it's been a while I'm thinking.

Speaker 2:

By the time we do a deep dive on this, it will be like the end of october, so it's not gonna be good, so we'll have to do reactions on that one, okay, okay, yeah, there's one. We can probably do a deep dive because we don't have many. We don't have any of her fans listening to us. Oh really For Wausau.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, we can do a deep dive on her. Yeah, we haven't heard anything from anybody. Did that? Just yeah, just drop. I was going to say, yeah, well, I've lost track of time. So I'm like, wait a minute, I knew it was coming, so I keep forgetting. It's the end of september already, girl I don't know I don't know where. I know I was like just last week, it was like september 6th. What happened?

Speaker 2:

yeah.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, september 19th, so she yeah, yeah okay, you know we took a break, so yes, we're not like right on top of it, hanging out together I can't keep track.

Speaker 2:

I can't. We took a break because we went to see epic high.

Speaker 1:

I know, but that's going to be a different talk. Yeah, I didn't want to say it because I wanted to be.

Speaker 2:

Well, I already like, told people I'm like I went to Epic High, you know but did they know I went?

Speaker 1:

yeah, everybody knows yes yes, they know.

Speaker 2:

For those who weren't listening to the show, they knew because they're like I went to take a break, I went to see Epic High with Sierra, we went to Boston. So those who aren't, it's actually recorded. You can listen to the archive Because they're like, I want to take a break, I went to see Epic High with Sierra, we went to Boston, all right. So those two are actually recorded. You can listen to the archive, anyways. So do you want? Well, there is one song. The album came out for P1 Harmony.

Speaker 1:

The sad song.

Speaker 2:

Yes, did you have you?

Speaker 1:

Well, I've heard it, okay, okay, I have not listened to it like a thousand times, but okay I have. Definitely I I did hear it, so do you want to?

Speaker 2:

do english or do you want to do regular?

Speaker 1:

no, we can do the the regular because it was only in my car anyway, so I wouldn't have caught on to what they were, other than it's sad songs, okay, but I knew what was All right, cool, what was what.

Speaker 2:

So, all right, let's listen to P1 Harmony's sad song.

Speaker 1:

Got a little salsa going on, woo yeah oh yeah, there's nothing sad about this beat.

Speaker 2:

I know right, I'm gonna get you going yeah, they so don't sound sad. This is not a sad song with the moves and the beats, yeah make you want to dance.

Speaker 1:

You want to dance. Yeah, what mad song would you like? Another sad song. Is that what I will like?

Speaker 2:

another sad song. This sad song has sass.

Speaker 1:

It's very high energy, very. Yeah, it's interesting that it's like piano, though. Yeah, behind all this electronic drum and tried to get away. Yeah, they keep asking another if you'd like another sad song I think you're just being sassy, like they just don't care.

Speaker 2:

You want another sad song like whatever, get your party moves, got a groove, yeah oh, the change here yeah, that was a good transition.

Speaker 1:

Oh, but this, yeah, I liked how that worked.

Speaker 2:

Worked hey, yeah, oh, love the layers of vocals. Yeah, I know the sad song nice.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, see, I like sad songs like this, wow it's sort of like uh, it seems more like they're talking about maybe you want a sad song, but I don't. I want to move, I want to groove want to listen to the English one well, I liked that when they had that transition, that change of sound.

Speaker 1:

I'd like to know what he's saying in English there, because it's sort of I don't know like, yeah, the words were there the moment he said them and then they were gone. I'm like what. It seemed sort of like he was saying well, if you want to be sad, I can do that, but nope, we're going to go back to high energy dance music. It's got a great little, oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

It's sassy, it has attitude. You have some tropical, you know, sound in there's on it. The piano reminded me a lot of the cuban sound, you know? Oh, my goodness, I kept thinking celia crew. You know, like orchestra, yeah, that was like mambo type.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, mambo. Yeah, definitely. I liked the way they accentuated too, like there were certain Da-na-na-na-na-na-na-na Bum bum bum, da-na-na-na-na-na-na-na Bum bum bum, and they hit those notes as well with their vocals. It was cool. Should we listen to the English one vocals? Yeah, it was, it was cool. Should we listen to the english one? Yeah, because now I'm kind of curious like, yeah, what? Like I said, I heard it in the car, but when you're not, you know, I didn't know we were going to cover that song, so I wasn't really focusing on it. Well, this is that's why we're doing these.

Speaker 2:

We're just like I'm playing this song and you feel it.

Speaker 1:

No, I know, and that's I'm saying how I'm feeling, but now I'm like, now I want to know, okay, what exactly it's all about okay, let's go, but now we're gonna play the english version of p1 harmonies sad song the music won't change, we can dance here we go. Yeah, no, this is definitely. Oh, I didn't notice that the first time. Oh, interesting though. Hmm, so it's about someone leaving, not knowing what to do and just wanting I want to move on. It's what they're saying. Oh, ok.

Speaker 2:

Ah, all right, it's the times we have, yep one day you'll be missing me too.

Speaker 1:

So it's basically they want to listen to sad songs, but they can't get beyond the need to dance and move and get away from it, because they keep talking about you left me, they're gonna move on, but even though I don't know like they want to move on, yeah so, instead of listening to these sad songs and getting you know, letting the depression wash over you, they're like gonna listen to something with some moves and some grooves and get beyond the sad songs.

Speaker 1:

Right, it's very interesting that, right, that that whole interlude part where they're talking about you're gonna miss me too and you're gonna want me back again. Someone's bit off, oh yeah, oh yeah. So that was very interesting because, yeah, it's like it's so contradictory to what they're saying, what they're right talking about. This whole you left me and I want to move on. So, instead of listening to sad songs, give me something that I can move, I can move and I can groove, groove exactly

Speaker 2:

I like it, I like it. So we saw p1 harmony live yes, we did um. Unfortunately, I was not able to appreciate the boys singing it was like the loudest show ever.

Speaker 1:

It was just shrieks and screams for the whole I'm like hour and 45 I needed.

Speaker 2:

I need earplugs. I need an earplug just because of the fans and I feel so bad because I'm like they're trying to talk, I can't hear them oh yeah, I know when they were doing their little intros yeah, no.

Speaker 1:

Just because he says his name doesn't mean you need to scream I'm like, oh my god, even the people at the venue.

Speaker 2:

They're like can you all chill? You know I feel bad for them. Boys, it's yeah, but anyways, that was b1 harmony amazing vocals, of course, awesome song. And, uh, yeah, catch them if they can. You know they're touring in your area, definitely, and I think, uh, that song, that song is now in billboard. Yeah, I believe so.

Speaker 1:

So awesome, a breakthrough for them. Yeah, that's awesome, it is definitely that's it is.

Speaker 2:

I'm a yeah, I'm proud of them, so that's awesome. So let's see who else do. Can we talk? About we're doing our own sound effects now of course I would like to be in some type of anime, so if somebody likes my voice for some character, please send me a DM. We'll go for our audition.

Speaker 1:

We'd love to audition for that, it's good I think I have more of a narrator voice than a whenever I do my hello I would like to do anything.

Speaker 2:

Uh, that is, you know, just out there I.

Speaker 1:

You know, I'm out to be an announcer I've heard actually doing like uh, animation voiceover is way harder than just plain old acting. Oh yeah, and I believe it. Like because you have to, yeah, you have to be in that place, but like lining up with everything and getting, oh wow, yeah, just so crazy. Reacting to nothing, yeah, crazy, but it would be kind of cool. Give it a try, see how it goes I've still got that song stuck in my head now yeah, trying to think who should we play.

Speaker 2:

I don't know.

Speaker 1:

Did you have anybody in mind that you would like to listen, that we have listened, but you know we have not reacted no, I'm trying to remember what was on some of the stuff on the, the new, like current release stuff is, um, actually things that we had planned on talking about in a different way. So, oh, hey, crazy, I was just looking the the uh, my ex's cousin's group, okay, is on my new release radar, okay. I was like, hey, all right, I'll check it out later. So, um, yeah, I'm trying to. Oh, there's a new, let's see 50, 50. I'm just looking at like oh, there's a new perfume is there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they had they dropped. They dropped something we got boy next door.

Speaker 1:

why don't I see perfume? Well, we could do that Perfume dropped something on the 20th.

Speaker 2:

Let's see. Oh, they dropped an album. They're ones that they prefer to drop albums instead of singles. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and this is an album. Okay, so let's play. I'm going to play these. Of course, it's in Japanese. This should be translated. Okay, I'm not even gonna try. Let me play the light. What is it again? The light, the light. Yeah, this is a new one. This is from the latest album of perfume. Perfume is a female trio from japan. For those who do not know who or they are, my favorite song from them, which is from many, many, many years ago chocolate disco that was. That's an awesome, catchy song. It's amazing. All right, here we go. I'm gonna start playing the perfumes, the light, oh yo, that's like a sci-fi opening, right?

Speaker 1:

hey, oh, I like that. Yeah, this is different for them. They're singing a little lower than normal. Yeah, it's like it's a lower register. Yeah, which is good, because not everything needs to be. Yeah, oh, oh, this is so early 80s new wave. This is synth pop techno. Yeah, hey oh, I love this, this, the the synth thingy, I know, yeah, no, this is really cool we're gonna right into the light yep, this is a completely different vibe for the girls.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it is. I mean, they're so known for their techno type of music, very electronic, but this is a different groove right.

Speaker 1:

Electronic though, yeah, but it's um, it's not as hyper, no, no, that's, it's a more laid-back mellow if you compare it to chocolate disco, whoa yeah which it was very hyperactive.

Speaker 2:

Right that?

Speaker 1:

that's what I mean their voices are lower, the music's toned down. As toned down as electronic can be. I really like this?

Speaker 2:

Why do I feel like I can hear Simon Le Bon singing this too? Oh yeah, totally Like it's his alley too.

Speaker 1:

Well, that's why I was thinking New Wave. It's got that very like those British bands. We like Depeche Mode, duran, duran, yep, oh yeah, I'm gonna definitely check out the whole album. I wonder how much of it is, you know, right, like this, that's so cool. I mean, listen to that, that synth in the background there, it gives me dancing.

Speaker 2:

I love this. I'll be dancing to this. Ooh Ooh, gary Newman, right, yes, a little bit of this. That's awesome, that was.

Speaker 1:

I loved that. I loved that.

Speaker 2:

I'm like let's go with the light. I'm like woo, especially with that. Brrrr. Like what is that?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that whole opening. I was like what is that?

Speaker 2:

And that is the first song of the album.

Speaker 1:

Oh, really, yeah, that's cool, but it was. It was very sci-fi, yes, like like the whole opening and then talking about going into the light. Yeah Right, think about what Close encounters.

Speaker 2:

Yes, they always have that type of aesthetic. Yeah, very futuristic type.

Speaker 1:

Even their clothing too.

Speaker 2:

I was going to say some of their old outfits, yeah they're very asymmetrical but they're so pretty simple and also their shows are very laser-based. A lot of you know. Yeah, definitely electronic from day one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And oh my God, this is so cool.

Speaker 1:

That is. That was awesome. I really like that song. Like I said, now I'm gonna be like as soon as I get in my car I'm gonna put the album on right, it's awesome.

Speaker 2:

So there are 10 songs in here. Oh, wow, yes, there's one here that it has over a million streams. Maybe this one came out before the album. Oh, that could be.

Speaker 1:

This could have been the leading track, maybe the lights the first track. They might have released something else as a single right.

Speaker 2:

So there's another song called here, cosmic treat. Then we have starlight dreams. Um. Then another one called ima, ima, ima. That may sound like hyperactive, but I could be wrong. Then we have morning cruising.

Speaker 1:

Oh, well, we could. You know, if you want, we can spend the rest of the time talking about a couple more perfume songs. Okay, so p1 harmony, you lucked out, you got in first. The rest is going to be dedicated to perfume, because I'm fascinated now, I'm interested now to hear what else they do, because that I mean it's still a sound you know for them, but it was different enough that I was like wow, everything about.

Speaker 2:

This is just a little bit different than what they, so the song that it was recommended to me from spotify hello spotify, thank you for having our podcast in there. Uh, it was ima, ima, ima, which, by the way, is the fifth song in this album. Should we go with number five? Sure, okay?

Speaker 1:

oh, you know, it's weird, I had, I had so many 555 moments recently really yes, almost every day that I've looked at my clock, yeah, it's been 555, something55. Something rang up $5.55. And there was something like something that was measured. A weight was 5.55. Get out. I was like what is going on? And you know what? It was around the time that announcement came out.

Speaker 2:

Hold on, I'm getting tangled here with this. We'll save the woo-woo for the rants and rambling. Rants and rambling.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

So let's go with the still talking about perfume fifth song called Ima, ima, ima. Here we go, ooh, oh yeah. Oh my God, I love this already okay, is this gonna be all synth pop like from the 80s?

Speaker 1:

oh my god, this is awesome again, duran duran yeah, well, in late disco, you know which duran duran we're part of too. I really love the synth in the background there. Yeah, that's crazy after school program. Oh, they talk about the heart yeah, oh, oh, I like that off tone oh you heard that one.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, god do we love synth we love.

Speaker 1:

Well, and that was like crystal, so, opposed to the sound that came before it, that's awesome.

Speaker 2:

I don't know why that part reminded me of Arashi Right, it just stopped just a few seconds, wow.

Speaker 1:

Wow, we're having the same reaction to everything. I really like the way the vocals work there, right, there's the heart. Again, I love these trios voices yeah there it is again that yeah, in the crystal, the little accents that the synths have.

Speaker 2:

That part right there reminds me of Arashi.

Speaker 1:

Very much an Arashi sound.

Speaker 2:

So now we're on the break. Oh my God, this is like a carousel.

Speaker 1:

It's that you know that weird carousel music, that's what this sort of is Ba ba, ba, ba, like. It's like a tune, you know, but not quite a tune.

Speaker 2:

You know, oh, this is cool, they ended it off with just like solo music, but that one long note, oh, that was cool, right, that was really cool. E-ma, e-ma, e-ma.

Speaker 1:

No, that was a lot of fun. Oh, I'm loving this, yeah, I love the girls.

Speaker 2:

This is one that I sleep on until something new comes out and I'm loving this. Yeah, I know I love the girls. This is one that I sleep on until something new comes out and I'm like, oh my gosh, we're filming Because they're so awesome. I love their vocals. They all sing in sync, but you can hear them individually as well. I love this group so much. They're so sweet too.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they blend together. Really well, should we?

Speaker 2:

listen to Morning Cruisin' Is that the one with the most? No, the most is Sumatsuko. Something, something I Can't Make.

Speaker 1:

Out. Well, whichever way you want to do it, we can either listen to the one or we could do both. I guess we've got time. Whichever one you want to, let's do something else.

Speaker 2:

Let's do something else. Let's do something else.

Speaker 1:

We got two for the girls.

Speaker 2:

Yay perfume, we love you. It was amazing.

Speaker 1:

I said no, I'm just going to. This is what happens after we do these little reaction things. You know I'm going to go get in my car and listen to the whole thing, see what's going on.

Speaker 2:

Yes, all right, whole thing, see what's going on. Yes, all right.

Speaker 1:

so not finding anything. Why do I like I feel like mouth is broken. There have been a few times I'm trying to say something and it's like it just stops moving. Okay, what? Like? I'm trying to say a different word than what I'm thinking, so I'm like, okay, I just I can hear myself doing it. That's why maybe nobody else will notice, but I'm like I'm like thinking faster than I can speak, so I'm having trouble have you ever heard of aquailla?

Speaker 2:

No, all right, we're going to listen to this. And the song is Chimera.

Speaker 1:

Isn't that like a? I like it. It's interesting, oh yeah, hey Damn, what a difference from the opening. Yes, it's turning into a whole. Listen to all that sound. It's like a cacophony of sound. You've got like the chime drums. You've got a flute.

Speaker 2:

You got that bass. We have some fat distorted bass.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, everybody's just going cray cray in this song they're all yeah, rapping at once yelling.

Speaker 2:

You're hearing some distorted traditional instruments in it.

Speaker 1:

Well, the opening sounded like a procession going towards the gates of something, and then they just blast out in all that sound. I like it, though I mean it's not really something you can dance to.

Speaker 2:

You just got to sit there and be. This is like to groove on. Yeah, just like to stand there and just like this is just to pep, you know, pep you up or something I kind of. She said Matsuri, there's a festival in there. I like that. They said the word smoke twice. There we go. Were they saying fire there. Chimera, chimera, chimera. What is chimera?

Speaker 1:

now, I was thinking it was one of, uh, godzilla's nemesis. Well, they're chanting something whoa that prunk. Wow, that was wild. I don't even know what to really classify it as, because it was just this wall of sound coming at you well, akagurila is actually a rapper.

Speaker 2:

She's a female rapper, as you can tell just heavily into, you know that. Uh, she also had two other people collaborating in there. Uh, so, wow, chimera, chimera. Okay, no, but it's chimera, but she kept saying chimera, chimera. So what does chimera means? Chimera, chimera? I know it. Chimera means chimera, what.

Speaker 1:

That doesn't make sense oh hey, I was kind of right what I'm like. I know, I know this chimera is a mythological monster. It, however, is also a term used in architecture and genetic engineering techniques. Okay, interesting, right, but but chimera, oh my god see, this is my brain fire breathing, monstrous hybrid creature. Ah, part lion, part goat, part dragon that's why she keeps saying smoke, smoke.

Speaker 2:

I'm like, oh, what are you smoking?

Speaker 1:

yeah, the head is a lion, the body's a goat and the back end is a dragon.

Speaker 2:

So I was close right.

Speaker 1:

I'm thinking kind of like a chimera, you know, like you know, or coming out to you like a chimera you know blasting through the fire of well, it makes sense what you hear like the distorted, you know traditional or you know um folkloric sounds in the back you know, yeah, that whole opening, it was like they were a procession leading to, like the gates of castle or temple or oh yeah, something's going on or even the leading to the gates of going to the sacrificial altar to leave something for Chima.

Speaker 2:

Well, I did her Matsuri, so a festival.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

So the Precinct for a Festival, like you were saying.

Speaker 1:

But see, I was like, isn't it one of the creatures that battles Godzilla? I was close, gojira.

Speaker 2:

Gojira.

Speaker 1:

It's a Greek.

Speaker 1:

That was crazy yeah that was wild, wild, though I really liked it. Yeah, I really liked it because it's very different. Yeah, wow, yeah, I don't know what chimera in genetic engineering is, but does not sound good, if you, because why would you name something to do with genetic engineering after a creature made up of so many random animals? Okay, I guess we won't go down that road. Yeah, well, so, oh, cool, cool, cool. That's why it was familiar. I'm like Greek mythology. Okay, there you go. Interesting, what is this, what is what? Oh, it's Korean. Well, we might have time for one more okay, so this is a korean group.

Speaker 2:

You don't sound sure, but I'm following them so I think, oh, okay, we're going to to. So this song came out on September 25th by the group Crying Nut.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

And the song is called White Star. Okay, all right, so we're going to listen to that. I'm like why is this? So we're going to listen to Crying Nut White Star, so we can all listen to crying nut white star this is like surf music hold on. Oh my god, it's totally 60s yeah, it's a band, the.

Speaker 1:

The opening was sort of surf. This is a little more just rock and roll. I'll listen to that organ. That's how you could tell it's more 60s, but listen to those voices oh it's all american rock and roll.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's so funny. Hey, I like this happy go lucky music here. Okay, oh, now they're gonna bust out with the guitar. Have you catch any english?

Speaker 1:

I have not, no oh my god, this is so like so rock and roll.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, this is so rock and roll.

Speaker 1:

I think they're gonna get back. Right now we've got sort of a very gentle smooth right, but I think that listen to that drumming, though this is a good drummer, this drummer, yeah there we go, yeah oh my god, this guy's voice. But love it, though usually na na na nas are like uh, like na na na na.

Speaker 1:

You know he's like there we go oh, with the little background, yeah, wow, I'm hearing ramones, I'm hearing the clash yeah, sort of like all the semi-punk yeah bands when they were covering 50s because like the clash did a lot of rockabilly kind of stuff exactly the ramones loved, oh yeah, 50s music. They did 50s 60s rock yeah no, that was awesome. I like that, oh yeah that was unexpected cool that was a lot of fun though it was cool, it was unexpected.

Speaker 2:

It was like yeah, definitely so. Like just rock, rock and punk all mixed together. Yeah, rockabilly, definitely some in there too. It's just. But all in korean, all in korean. It's like what are you singing? I'm like I don't know, but he's having fun because at one point he's just like yeah, like you got angry at something, so he's just telling somebody off.

Speaker 1:

Oh my god, like I said in the whole na na na thing. Usually na na nas are like a, a gentle. You know transition from one part of the song to the next, not his na na nas no, like yeah, he's angry at something he's telling you off.

Speaker 2:

That was awesome, that was cool. The crazy crying nut they were crazy.

Speaker 1:

Oh awesome, all right so we we covered a whole range of sound there please give people this chance, because it's awesome yeah, definitely we have p1 harmony.

Speaker 2:

We just talked about perfume and aqua gorilla and then now uh crying yeah, some people that you know you have not heard about. Please give them a chance. Check them out.

Speaker 1:

Check out these songs definitely a very, a very good variety of sounds. Yes, so definitely, like we said, you'll always find something you like somewhere, right, yeah, but that was wow. I'm just sort of blown away by everybody.
