PI Energy Podcast
The PI Energy Podcast is hosted by Founder & COO Phil Layton. Phil invites scientists and leaders in clean technology and renewable energy to discuss the latest trends, technology seen in the industry, and solutions for helping global climate change. PI Energy is developing a thin-film solar PV that enables solar energy that is low-cost, non-toxic, flexible, and globally scalable. This solution has the potential to expand the solar energy market globally to electric vehicles and surfaces that are not practical for today's solar PV. Our goal is to expand renewable energy globally, creating a positive impact to billions of individuals. More information about PI Energy can be found here www.pienergy.com.

Keeping the San Diego Airport Sustainable - Brendan Reed
Today we have Brendan Reed on the podcast, the Director of Planning and Environmental Affairs at the San Diego Airport Authority.
Brendan shares his impressive work on mitigating climate change by keeping the San Diego airport as sustainable as possible. He explains how he and his team are following a carbon neutrality plan to help guide the airport to reduce emissions.
We discuss how an airport works as a city, and how being mindful of all parties can help contribute to the goal.
Finally, we look at the future, and compare the old to new implementations being used, to fully utilize the stored energy from solar power to battery energy storage systems. One great takeaway from this episode is that we all can contribute, which Brendan demonstrates from their program “ The Good Traveler” which guides everyday travelers to do their part.
