On April 2, 2025, a stabbing at a Texas high school track meet left 17-year-old Austin Metcalf dead and 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony has been charged with murder. Anthony reportedly admits to the stabbing but claims it was self-defense.
Austin Metcalf was white, and Karmelo Anthony is black.
