Jen: and welcome to this week's episode of Where the Hell We've Been and other stuff.
Shanna: Uh, welcome back, uS .
Jen: Uh, you may have noticed that we just disappeared for a while. . It was both intentional and unintentional.
Shanna: They were the best of times, they were the worst of times,
Jen: truly. Um, we intentionally meant to take a break. We unintentionally did not tell you guys about it, , but we just couldn't. And then something happened where Facebook decided that I. , um, was involved with child pornography. . Yeah. I am. Not to be clear, but someone hacked into my email, hacked into my Facebook, and then Yeah. Child sexual exploitation says I [00:01:00] can't have Facebook anymore. .
Shanna: Yep. It's a pretty serious one. I wish they had any evidence.
Jen: Yep. But literally zero. . And because the podcast's, social media is all connected to my Facebook, it was all immediately deleted and they never gave it back, no matter how many times I begged
Shanna: Yeah, . Yep. It was an ongoing issue there for a while.
Jen: so I could not make a post to say, Hey guys, sorry we are taking break.
Shanna: Yeah. And luckily we were like, we were just so upset about that one and only thing that then we just, we couldn't go and tell you guys, you know, too sad about it. Yeah. Luckily, yeah, that was the only thing that happened. Just kidding. . So while uh, all of that was happening, it turns out, guys, I've got news. I'm getting divorced because my husband had an affair. So my life exploded all the way to the max. [00:02:00] And, uh, that, that's the real reason I disappeared. Uh, so.
Yay, .
So it's been a time over here
a time. Remember all those kids? I don't know if you guys remember way back when we were still recording, but man, I've got a lot of kids, guys. It's a lot of work. Mm-hmm. . But now look it, we've got podcasting time again. Yeah,
Jen: Also in that time, , well, you guys might remember. Starting in September, I think. Um, we had some guests on instead of Shannon while she was dealing with stuff. And then I was like, yeah, you know what, I'm just gonna carry this podcast and I'm gonna do it and it's gonna be fine. And then all my staff quit and I went from working a regular amount to working to full-time jobs. Yeah. So I also didn't have any time to do the things. Mm-hmm. and. I just couldn't care for a little while. while you were,
Shanna: was your best friend having a breakdown? Yes. Yeah. ? Yes. So, [00:03:00] um, we were just a bit busy guys.
Jen: Yeah. And then I moved as well and I'm still currently moving , so why I thought at this point in time when I haven't even unpacked my own boxes in two weeks, that I was going to do this podcast again, but I really, really missed it.
Shanna: Yeah, me too.
Jen: I don't wanna say I was surprised that I missed it, but while doing it, it kind of starts feeling a little bit like a job. It's a lot of work and yeah, it's a lot of work. And then it was gone and I was like, what do I do? What do I do with my time? I suddenly felt like, , who do I talk to about books? But I still felt like I couldn't talk to you about books. Yeah. . Because we have this rule where we just don't talk to each other about books because we save it for the podcast.
Shanna: Yeah. And now it's been disappointing because I also forgot how to read.
Jen: Yes. . That has also been part of the problem. .
Shanna: Yeah. It's getting better. I can almost read again.
Jen: There's just not enough room inside that big brain.
Shanna: Oh. a lot of tabs open right now. [00:04:00] Mm-hmm. . Yeah.
Jen: How to get divorced? tab one. .
Yeah. Yeah,
Um, so yeah, we're gonna come back. We are just gonna ease back in and start with biweekly episodes, until we get it together, cuz we're still getting it together, but we really wanna be here.
Shanna: Yeah. . Yeah. We've really just scraped it together.
And we are going to take this opportunity to change things up a bit. Okay, so guys remember the book club? Yeah, it was a lot of work. So we're gonna change that. We're not gonna do that part anymore. It was really fun. And sometimes we'll still do deep dive. Like books and stuff, of course. Um, but yeah. oh. Yeah. We're gonna change our name. I'm really excited about it.
Jen: So get ready because two weeks from now we are going to become the in Her Good Books podcast where we talk about all things, books and books. Yes. Um, I made a note because I really liked, [00:05:00] um, if you look up what in Her Good Books means, it says in a state in which one is liked or treated nicely by someone.
Aw. So I was trying to figure out a way to work that in somewhere funny, but it's perfect. You know, . It's too sweet. Too sweet too to be funny. . Yeah. So we're really excited to switch things up just a little bit. We're still gonna be doing all the same cool stuff we do. Book reviews. Book talks.
We might have some more book guests. Yeah. And yeah, we're just gonna come back and talk about all things, books
Shanna: and yeah, see not, not end reading because reading is not required. Yeah. You can just like books and be here. Yeah. no required reading,
Jen: no required reading on this podcast, thankfully, cuz Shannon has not read a book in six months.
