What is Dark Humor? The Talk of the Topic within the Turmoil Tales
Feb 11, 2021 Season 1 Episode 1
Samantha Parrish

Welcome to the first official episode of the Parrish Passages Podcast. We’re starting the show out with a genre analysis; the discussion of dark humor will be the topic. So where did it come from? Why do we like it? What’s the appeal? I’m a writer of this genre and I’ll be revealing how this became the bold bizarre way to present my stories.

Throughout this episode, the sound is a little warbled and wild from my tone of voice going up and down from my enthusiasm, as well as learning to test out the sound of being near and far from the microphone. I’m still tinkering with this program to have a polished sound, I'm still checking myself to keep calm and controlled. I'll just have to take a cue from John Wayne, talk slow and talk low. I’ll have to work on that for the next couple of episodes. I’m still getting used to how this outlet works with the balance of the structure to create the show to be entertaining and enticing, as well as polished and professional. The future episodes will be better, but I appreciate the patience for my minor mishaps and sound screeches.

Thanks for listening and stay tuned for the show~
