The Floresville Electric Light & Power System (FELPS) has named J. Aaron Wagner, P.E., as its new chief executive. He’ll start his new role in Wilson County on Jan. 16. Wagner was selected from a field of more than 20 applicants to succeed Mark Crowson as the utility’s top executive. Crowson resigned in August; Steven Sax has been serving as interim CEO during the search process. A Texas native, Wagner has more than 27 years of experience with utilities. Most recently, he served with the East Texas Electric Cooperative in Nacogdoches, where he was director of transmission systems. reader@wcn-online.com
