COURT UPDATE

The following defendants were among those listed on recent dockets for the 81st District Court in Wilson County: •Karan Kahlon, 35, of Jourdanton pleaded nolo contendere (no contest) Dec. 18 to a charge of theft of a firearm for an incident in March 2023. He was sentenced to six months in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice facility and ordered to pay court costs and reimbursement fees. •Chad Carpenter, 46, of Floresville was arraigned on a charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact, after allegedly committing the offence in February of 2023; he is scheduled for a docket...
