Mustangs come up short in second round of District

Nixon-Smiley hosted the Stockdale Brahmas this past Tuesday, Jan. 28, as the second round of District basketball ball had begun. Leaders for the Mustangs were junior Zech Munoz with 11 points, two assists, two rebounds, and one steal; senior Tristen Mikesh with 9 points, one assist, seven rebounds, and two steals; and senior Nicolas Martinez with 8 points and six rebounds. The Mustangs fell to the Brahmas, 36 to 44. The boys traveled to Luling to take on the Eagles Jan. 31.
